The night before had grown chilly and she spent a better of that particular afternoon dealing with a rather elderly old man. But the deal was made, cash exchanged and she was on her way to the inn with a nice sized cardboard box tucked under arm. Inside the most sweetest australian shepherd pup of the litter. Mixed color of pepper and salt, dashed with caramel, this pup looked as if it had once been white but fell and rolled into white, black, and brown paint. It was quite adorable! It's brown eyes that soulful deepness that one could get lost in and find true comfort of a companion. About it's fluffy neck a deep brownish color with a tag which for now remained empty. After all, he didn't have a name!

Upon entering the inn's warm surroundings she found herself lingering to talk with Cieara, who Beth found to be quite a charming woman and easy to talk with. A good friend, indeed. And as Beth took seat aside Cieara, box placed onto the bar and governed protectively by an arm. She found herself introduced to the elderly brother figure. He was surely a quiet type as Beth and Cieara started yammering about men folk. She found it quite amusing that he scurried out during the conversation but she was pretty sure it was because he couldn't follow what was being said.

Eventually Beth had to show Cieara what was in the box though. And she found Cieara's reaction to be quite welcoming. After exchanges of words about the reason behind the 'surprise' and for who it was for they started chattering over other things. Just about their individual lives and things that came into conversation. But like all good things, dawn was closing in and Cieara was growing tired. So after a rather amusing farewell they parted ways. Lingering for a time within the inn if not for just some coffee, Beth planned out what she was to do next.

Come the earlier hours of morn she took the time to gather a map and some information. Particular on the way to a certain place. Jake's place. And boy did she get some odd looks carting that box around and asking for directions. By foot it took a bit longer then norm but she truly didn't feel like riding Jin. After all, hoof prints might give away what she was intending. It was close to noon by the time she actually hit near the Rocking D and that's when she became 'sneaky'. Incognito! Making way to the point she was shooting for, she made sure not to be spotted. By Jake..or any others that might be about the area. Heel to toe, she was careful upon stepping onto that porch, taking her sweet time going across it and to the front door. With a impish grin the box was lowered gently, a note placed on top. There was a bit of a shuffle before the box went still, the puppy settling down for a nap. The note simply stated: To keep that smile and ease the heart, here is a bit of fluff. Nothing more..nothing less.

Soft words whispered to the content of the box as she stood straight, a hand combing back the fiery locks from her face. Turning her gaze, she did take a moment to admire the place she would eventually be working at. She looked forward to the hard work..A turn of heel and she was off the porch much quicker then she had taken to get onto it. In a trot she made her way back to the inn, leaving the gift to await it's owner in which Beth hoped..would simply bring comfort.
