Arena 8/9
After arriving, G remembered something that required his attention. He headed right back out the door and smacked right into his girlfriend that was attempting to come in through the same door.
Thump! "Oof!" He did run into her, and he blinked and reached out to catch her before she might have gotten knocked down. "Oh god, oh god, I'm sorry!"
Make that a double "Oof!" Of course, she let him catch her even though she wasn't being knocked down, arms wrapped around his neck. "The service here is sensational. The view is even better." He received a little wink before she kissed his cheek.
Moves his arms around her waist and holds her while she puts her arms around his neck, he chuckles and kisses her cheek right back. "If by service, you mean instantly getting the man of your dreams to appear suddenly in front of you? Certainly."
"You read my mind."
Grins to Merci. "Well then. I am glad to be of service to you. Is there anything else you would like?" Grinning widely at her as he turns and gestures down the stairs. "I simply must buy you a drink."
"I would love for you to buy me a drink. A nice icy bottle of water would be wonderful." Starting down those stairs, thinking of how much she would love a real drink. Oh the suffering!
"Nothing more pricey and tasty than water?" Curious for a couple of reasons. He casually and in a relaxed gait follows Merci on down and towards the bar so that he may acquire said water.
"Maybe pricey and tasty...water? Perhaps a club soda. Does that satisfy your requirement?" Laughing lightly as she took his hand and moved towards the bar.
He brought her hand to his lips and pressed them softly against it with a smile. "I can do that. Just.. curious as to why not wine, or something nifty like.. scotch or cognac. If you want the chilled flavor of water, I shall glady get it for you."
Giving a wink to Merci as he moves behind the bar to get a hold of that cold water and club soda she wanted. Meanwhile, he also goes ahead and fixes himself something different. Gin and tonic. "Now.. where's the stinking tonic water. And Limes."
Merci reached over to tap G's hand. "Bartender...could you add some lime to my club soda please?"
Maybe a double shot of gin. She thought to herself.
"Anything for you, my sweet white rose." He grins and opens the club soda and pours it into a tall glass, breaks out the lime and slices it up. He takes a wedge and adds a little squeeze into the glass, then puts it on the rim before sliding it towards her. Then he starts on his drink.
She just...stared at him.
Looks at her while she stares at him. "What? The lime wedge isn't right?" Concerned.
"Have I been mistaken for someone else...perhaps someone...white?" She was actually holding back a laugh, but looked quite determined to bust his...yeah.
Smirks and relaxes. "Well, you are looking a little pale. But that's your favorite rose. So.. there you have it." Grins and mixes his drink.
"Mhm."
He considered that at great length before answering. "Yes." Sure. We'll go with that reason.
She chewed at her lower lip for a moment before recovering herself over the comment about being pale and smiled. Takes a sip of the club soda jazzed up with the lime and nods. "Better than water. Thank you, sweetness."
Hums as he drops the ice into the glass, then proceeds to mix a one to one ratio of gin to tonic. He grins at her and winks. "Naturally. Just the plain stuff can be boring. Need to spice it up a little, Roomie." Grins and rolls the glass around a little.
"Roomie." She did laugh aloud at that. "Is that what we are calling one another now? Don't we need to actually get the place first? Move me from Cor's house? Move you from the ship? There are things that need to be done before we jump into such drastic pet names."
"Future roomie?" Laughs and winks.
The discussion of violence that Sal was having close by gave Merci an idea. ?You know, darling...we should have a housewarming party once we buy the place and get moved.? It was obvious how she had jumped from violence to this party, wasn?t it?
Stared at Merci. "Invite Alek and Sal?"
"Ooooh...good idea!" See? Same wavelength...he put it together too!
"I tend to have them, from time to time." He grins.
"I agree. You do." Reaching over to lift a hopefully-not-too-stale-pretzel from a bowl upon the bar. God knew what sorts of germs were attached to that pretzel but she was hungry.
