Sovran D'Esorai,

As instructed, you are being sent word of event and tales of this place called RhyDin.

Foremost, the very air and weather are harsher than in Arhkos Minott. It is cold here and it would make any proper Theosian long for the heat of our two suns. They have only one sun here at all! From their skies falls something called snow, that once it contacts with something slightly warmer than itself and the cold are around it, it melts away to water.

A position with helping serve drinks at an inn's common room has been secured. There much talk is overheard of a variety of matters from politics to weddings. One might say they are much one in the same in some places. The position is paid for and I am given the chance to meet the peoples of many races here, some of which I will have questions for until I am on stepping into the next life.

And a place to stay is at that very inn. I am within short distance of hundreds of buildings, market, wharf, and river. More will be reported as it is seen to put quill to parchment and secure delivery of the messages to you.

Trusted Porslin,

Too long already I have taken before sending word to you. For this, forgive me. Know that I am well and what I have been sent to do here is underway.

It will be half the time more before I am permitted to step back into Arhkos Minott and home.

I write with purpose and not the relay of information to you. There has come into my company a child of ten Human years. He is without parents or others to care for him and has been living in ways better expecte of an Outcasted.

Your advise of what to do with him and how to conduct oneself it greatly sought. Be open and without your guard with me in these matters Porslin, for your thoughts are valued.

Isa

What a letter to send me! Have I not been with your family since I was barely older than a child myself? Tell me more of what is happening, for I know there must be many great things of this mystical RhiDun!

A child. A boy, you say? Well! This I can help you. As you know, I have four of them! What is a mother without a headstrong boy not tugging at her skirts but muddying them up as well! Such heartache and joy ? at once!

Firmly handle him, my dear. Firmly but with a great balance of understanding that they are striving at that age to be more grown than they are but cannot be far more in their reasoning than a babe!

In seriousness and care of my own, let me ask if you are well. You barely mention how you are. Do you need anything? Does RhiDun have enough foods that any proper Theosian can stomach? What of your hearts, my child? Do both of them still hurt over what our insufferable Sovran has done to you by way of her son? I will not push you into a corner on such questioning, but you know that I ask because you are loved ? with both my hearts as I did your mother many years before you were even born.

There is news to send you with this. Your father?s kin-brother?s third son has been seen about the city. Without a doubt in my mind, he is looking for you. It is only a matter of time before someone says why you are not here and where you have been sent. What shall I say to him in truth? I will say that you are visiting with friends and that I cannot recall if they are the ones who are to our north or to our east until I hear from you.

Blessed footfalls, my child. Let your mind know rest and you soul know peace.

Porslin

Your missive is greatly lacking. By now, you should have told me something of who reigns over the lands of Rhy-Din, what sort of governing parties they have and whom, and what you have seen that would enthrall even me. More than one of their months you have been there and still this minuscule note is all you have sent to me. This will be rectified immediately.

When it was given more thought, it occurred to me perhaps you needed some guidance. Or even protection from any who might keep you from your forthright task that I assigned to you. In the wake of this reasoning, I am sending Sur-Lord T?Eagon to ward you in the stance of Ekh?Bral, Shielder of the Suns. He has offered his utmost interest in this and will see that little is in your way from sending me reports.

As your reports have been lacking, I see need for you to be there another of their two months and not just one. At the end of that time, you will seek an audience with me upon your return.
