She had twirled them on her finger, stuck them in her pocket, waltzed out of the Kurii with them and all because of a flash of temper.

?I only would give them out if I used them on the person first.?

She had done plenty of jobs as she had made her way to Rhy?din to find her mother. Selling herself for a bauble, trinket or two thin coppers wasn?t one of those things.

So she walked along the garden path in the middle of the night trying to actually calm down. She had thought the walk and conversation with Nadine would do that for her, and it had for a bit. But once at the compound, and on her own again, she found her temper rising.

She had come to her favorite spot in the garden and turned her face up to the twin moons, gazing up at them. She leaned against the wall and a sigh could be heard, if one had been close enough to her, or had ears sensitive enough to hear it. Otherwise, hers was only a single silhouette which did not move for the longest time. She became so still that one might have mistaken her for a statue or piece of lawn art.

She thought back to the conversation she had had with Nadine, including her handing the cuffs over to Nadine. And as she stood there thinking, she decided she had a better use for them. A push off the wall and she turned to head to her room.

She would speak with Nadine on the morrow.
