Topic: (( OOC - Rules & Comments ))

Adalia Dodd

Date: 2008-01-16 22:07 EST
This folder's for OOC chatter, including suggestions, comments, or anything that isn't play or part of a SL. Feel free to drop a note here any time.

We don't really have a lot of rules, so here they are:

1. Respect. There should be no player-on-player violence here. Please, there's no reason to player hate.

2. No blending. Unless the information is posted in a way that everyone would be aware of, please keep it out of play. Some situations might be all right, if your character could have observed it, but a lot of this SL is based in time-travel and some sections are very tightly planned.

3. If you're looking to join a SL, please observe that some of this play is on a very strict timeline, and some characters are not easily available for side-quests and so on. If you're worried, drop Adalia Dodd a PM or e-mail and things can be worked out from there.

4. Have fun! Even in the most-serious parts of these story arcs, the characters can still have a laugh. The players too. RP's supposed to be fun, and feel like fun. Don't forget that, please!

Yo.

Been surfing through folders and such lately and I got curious, thus reading some stuff on here.

Holy cow. Great work!

Thanks for letting us know! We work really hard on these storylines, and it's nice to see someone out there who appreciates it! ::hugs::

I think your work's pretty fantastic, too! Great job weaving the whole history of a character!

Stop back any time, and be sure to tell us how you feel about what you read here. I'm always up for a discussion.

Thanks again!

I liked what I've read so far in 'Punishment'. Sure you don't want to join the Dark Side? (We have cookies!)

If ever there comes a time that I feel the pull of the Dark Side, you'll be one of the first to know. I'll even bring my own cookies to share!

Until then, I think I'll just have to keep on plodding away.

Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for reading!

I've got to follow in Travanix's footsteps here and drop a line once again. The critics are going MAD here! :-D

Cookies? Well do dark chocolate cookies count, Trav?

The critics are going MAD here!

I hope they're not going too mad! But, from that reaction, it seems like we're doing something right. I appreciate the comment!

Cookies? Well do dark chocolate cookies count, Trav?

It seems that dark chocolate cookies would be the best kind of cookies for evil, if you ask me. XD

I wanted to show everyone the party Ghent-mun and I had to celebrate my 100th post here at the RDI. I really wanted to thank everyone who reads our little folder here -- it means a lot to know that everyone cares.

Thank you all for some great times, and here's to another 100 posts before the year's up!

A special thanks to Ghent-mun, for being the best long lost identical 10' tall cybernetic atomic T-Rex twin brother from twenty years into the future a girl could ever ask for. You are the rawkage! ♥♥♥ (Now, STFU, noob.)

Lydia Loran

Feeling down? Feeling moody? Broody? Blue? Well I have the solution to your problem!

Taking two Adaltyn a day will perk anyone up, even orcs, ogres, and trolls! So come on down to the Rhydin Pharmacy and pick up your bottle today!

Warning: Adaltyn may cause nausea, irritability, hostility, homicidal impulses, rapid loss of mental clarity, amnesia, spontaneous combustion, chronic diarrhea, constipation, mental confusion, spontaneous sex change, liver damage and abnormalities, and neuropathy.

Adalia Dodd

Date: 2008-04-01 16:59 EST
Warning (continued from front):

Adaltyn should not be taken if you are pregnant, nursing, take MAOIs, eat, sleep, breath, or have trouble urinating. Doctors have found that some select few will experience temporal shifts which have been known to include someone's face being pounded into hamburger, and an Ocean Blue Tornado to the rear. Side-effects are frequent for certain groups and vary from one person to the next...

Last Knight

Date: 2008-04-01 18:53 EST

You two are my Porthos and Aramis (sp?) to my Athos. No D'Artagnon for us, yet, since Ruffus seems so adverse to the idea.

That being said, I can't believe that I can spell D'Artagnon without aid, but Aramis? No wai! (Or maybe I'm spelling D'Artagnon wrong too? Porthos and Athos are right, right? -_- )

It feels like I just don't have time to even write something for T&O, so I'll pose a question to anyone who might be watching:

How do you juggle every day life so that you can get time in for writing or RPing?

NightRunner

Who needs sleep? Well, you're never gonna get it
Who needs sleep? Tell me, what's that for?
Who needs sleep? Be happy with what you're gettin'
There's a guy who's been awake since the Second World War!

My mantra for the last few weeks. Between school, house and work, I just sit myself down for a bit each day and go "Hokay. My time. MY time to hang out, cut loose and just unwind."

My mantra for the last few weeks. Between school, house and work, I just sit myself down for a bit each day and go "Hokay. My time. MY time to hang out, cut loose and just unwind."

This, pretty much. I can usually manage to squeeze in some writing while I'm working, but if there's one thing NaNoWriMo has taught me, it's that you need to set aside a chunk of time during your day and just say Mine.

So, I'm thinking about trying to write something in the coming week, but I'm feeling a bit like I don't have anything to write. So, for anyone who may be a dedicated reader (or even just a passer-by.) please tell me what you think:

Would you like to see something that continues on with the current (never-ending) plot?

Or:

Would you like to see something that's a little different, and a little quirky, (and probably has nothing to do with nothing,) and will solve nothing?

I'd love to hear back on what you guys think. <3

Lydia Loran

Date: 2008-09-14 17:45 EST
I think either would work. I lean towards something quirky though, because that seems more of a chance for levity, and I'm in a mood now where I'd prefer to read levity. Yay biasness...

But side stories of goof are often always win.

Obviously, I'm not 100% familiar with your writing process or what you prefer to write (goofy stuff vs. more serious material), but a possible suggestion if you haven't considered it yet? Perhaps a journal for Ada would be a good idea. The nice thing about journal entries is they can serve as plot dumps even if you haven't played or had SLs up on the board for sometime, there's no real time line IRL for any of it to get done, and the writing style can be a bit looser. I'm a huge fan of using journals, and I highly recommend it if you think your character is of the right temperament to do so.

Otherwise, I would probably suggest something a little less serious, and of a one-off nature.

There's always room for levity. :)

I still haven't managed to find some time to write, but I'm going to play tomorrow, dangit.

Unless I don't wake up early enough...

Or I get side-tracked by something that shouldn't require my attention...

Or the Mighty Mothmen eat me...

Either way, something's going to happen! Humph!

(So, if anyone wants to play with me tomorrow, feel free to show up some time in the early afternoon!)

Hello-o-o-o-o! ::echo, echo::

Ooh, you're back! Yes you're back, there's a post up, which is awesome! Missed your crazy writing. So welcome back, be it sporadic or not. ::has a tailgating party for you and decorates pickup trucks with T-Rexes and the occasional little, annoying raptor::
