Isuelt DeRomiano was no stranger to trouble, as the saying goes. She had been in countless close calls, scores of sticky situations, and what's more, she had been between superfluous rocks and hard places. Still, all the clich?s in the world could not do justice to the way she felt lately.

There was a reason Isuelt kept mostly to herself and never let anyone too near. There was a reason she relished the life of a nomad. That's what she had kept muttering to herself as she moved through the streets of Rhydin. As she shook her head, recounting the number of times she had been in circumstances where she barely wanted to know the ending, Isuelt's dark eyes searched for someone she dared to call "friend."

Charna Lyndria, known to most as "The Vixen" for one reason or another, had a definite affection for trouble. So much so, that Isuelt nearly thought the two of them could be related. When she had first come to Rhydin, she had met Charna by chance. And over the next several months, had grown accustomed to seeing her around the Inn. Charna certainly never wanted for suitors, or strife. Isuelt had immediately taken a liking to the free-spirited waif, and it troubled her that Charna made poor decisions...in her opinion, at least.

As Issy moved through the streets, she assessed that Charna's unfortunate incidents (as she referred to them), stemmed from who she chose to associate with (whether willingly or through coercion). Count Longden, Varick, and Lord Ayreg not withstanding, Charna's selection in companions was questionable. So, when she learned of Charna's little voyage with a woman by the name of Alma, Isuelt figured that she had once again plunged herself into a dangerous situation. Isuelt's recollection of Alma was clouded, at best. Still, she recalled meeting her at one point and she well-remembered the foreboding feeling she got when they had talked. Like so many patrons who visited the Inn, there was just something not right about her.

Isuelt had offered to tail Charna, or at the very least, talk to her about her impending voyage with this woman. Grem was terribly considerate of Charna's independence, though Isuelt wondered if it wasn't more from fear of knowing what would come to Charna. He was willing, if reluctant, to let her go with Alma to a place called Vienna. Isuelt, however, was more tenacious in her hold on the Vixen. She definitely did not trust everything about this Alma woman; yet, like Grem, she felt "who am I to dictate what Charna can or can't do?" Still, she knew she would feel at least a little better if she could at least locate Charna and talk with her about that little vacation.

Of course, this was her second day of searching for Charna and she knew time was running out, if it had not ceased already. It was very possible that Charna and Alma had already departed. That last thought was the one that quickened Isuelt's steps and spurred on her hunt.

Charna had left that morning. At least that was the word from Grem. Isuelt wasn't entirely sure that he was at peace with the idea of Charna and Alma going away together, but she did have to hand it to him...he was being entirely put together about the whole thing. Of course, he was pretty much always calm, cool and collected. So much so that every once in a while, the Scathachian would be tempted to lean in and check his pulse.

Isuelt had been with Jenai most of the day and it was amazing what that woman could do to lift Isuelt's spirits. Jenai definitely had one of those sickeningly positive attitudes...that everyone secretly covets. And later in the day, she had taken a swing by the Inn and had spent some time with Tera. Poor thing, she was still having quite the difficult time with Jean being gone. So, without so much as a moment's hesitation, Isuelt had invited Tera to drop by the flat when she felt like it. She knew that Jenai's sunny dispostion would do her well.

As for Isuelt's dispostion, she found herself wondering what sort of hell Charna would be raising in a place called Vienna...
