Settling in for the evening, Isuelt began the chore of writing out a fantasy of sorts.
Ever since Charna's return from Venice with Alma, Isuelt was seething to get her hands on those responsible for the Vixen's demise. Even as Charna was on the mend, Isuelt knew that it wasn't far-fetched for one small slip to lead back to that rock-bottom hell. She knew Grem was solid and would protect her, but she also knew that there were many others who would prey upon Charna for their own benefit. Alma was one of these, and Isuelt made a vow that if she ever...ever saw her again, she would tear her to pieces.
Still, there were others to worry about. And just a few days ago, Isuelt had met another one of them. This one went by the name of Asuka Tamas; she was a hell-raiser if Isuelt had ever known one. Asuka apparently dabbled in dealing drugs and had offered Charna a "sample." As if that wasn't bad enough, she had done so when Grem and Isuelt were in the same room with them. Just thinking about it now was enough to make Isuelt's blood begin to pound in her head. What was worse, however, and what had clinched it for her to look for help was the fact that Asuka had blatantly stated that she'd push drugs onto Charna again if the opportunity had presented itself.
That proclamation had reared Isuelt's rage into a fever, and it was only a promise to Grem and to Keaton that stilled her desire to cleave the bitch's head from her body right then and there. Asuka was so cocky and a glutton for punishment, that Isuelt's fingers itched just thinking about her. Still, she had promised to keep her temper and her blades in check. Although...if she could find someone else to do the job...
It was like fate. The night after the meeting with Asuka, Isuelt had run into Colonel Wil Savage. She had met him before, just as she began her employment under Talomar Longden. Savage had told her that he no longer worked for Longden, and that he had more time on his hands now. It was true...fate was a cruel mistress, but sometimes she was a brazen whore to be steered by the strongest of masters. And for Isuelt right now, it seemed that fate was her whore, just waiting for an order.
Isuelt had told Savage that they couldn't necessarily talk then and there, in the midst of the Inn's common room. She had said she would contact him later and proposition him. Besides, she got the distinct feeling that the Colonel was quite used to propositions...both those given and received. She wrote him a letter, detailing her plans.
