Ben Sullivan

it sort of goes without saying, i think, but i'll say it anyway: ben's history was extremely traumatic, and dissociative identity disorder is no picnic. i try to tackle the disorder and his attempts at dealing with it -- both with his alters and his history -- as realistically as possible, so there are plenty of intense, potentially triggering things in this folder. i try to note at the beginning of particularly intense posts that they might be rough to read, but just consider this a general warning about this folder if you have sensitivities!

Just some information about the threads in this folder:

Polyvore, OOC, and lyrics are pretty self-explanatory. Post away in those if you feel so inclined!

Picturegram is an instagram ripoff -- feel free to pick a handle and post away in there too!

'from near his heart he took a rib' is Ben's journal, with both journal entries from him as well as excerpts from books/articles/websites that he finds interesting and underlines parts of.

'Livin' Faster Than My Angels Can Fly' is Jackie's journal, one Ben nudged her to start keeping to give her an outlet for the thoughts she might not be able to voice to anyone.

'believe me, you can't believe your dreams' is a thread for letters to and from Ben. It's mostly full of letters between Ben and his son at this point. If there's some reason that your character might be writing him a letter or a note, feel free to post it in there.

'ghost pressure' is an ongoing thread detailing Ben's internal experiences and interactions with his alters.

'no one has to see, believe me' was meant to be a one off, but it's spiralled into a longer SL about Ben's being haunted by his stepfather. Bits and pieces of it are mentioned in dated collaborative threads, but all the solo writing that's interactions between Ben and the ghost are here.

We've been posting announcements about the Sullivan baby in the aptly named baby thread. :) correspondence regarding Baby Sullivan can go there, if you like!

Other threads are stand-alone writing, either solo or collaborative.
