Throx Skullcrusher

Contrary to the nature of his kind, Throx was not your average, blood hungry, bone sucking ogre. In truth, the big mountain of green lumps and craggy bumps held a pretty big heart, and he spent the bulk of it on more innocent things like kittens and smaller women folk. Though the ogre made friendly intrigue with all and any that would seek his company, there was one small woman, an angel really, that held the dearest frame in his oversized heart. And that angel's name was Laoell.

Of course, in reality, the massive mammoth had come to know Laoell by the name she'd first spoken upon her arrival; Sera. But those times were long gone and lost in a world of pain and blood and tears the ogre would never forgive himself for allowing to happen. That was all in the past though. What had mattered more to the big guy now was that his smallest friend didn't remain to wane and small looking. Even the blasted dark skinned elf was harping on the angel to fill out her frame, and as far as the ogre knew, the dark elf was making himself familiar with a woman who was little more than a beanpole herself.

It was hard to watch such a small, tender creature such as Laoell stay wasted looking though. All she did was move through the world as delicately as possible, doing what good she could, where she could, as often as she could. Even her slow increase of health was for the benefit of others more than herself; she saw the smiles it inspired, and tried her hardest to find more strength. He approached the small lady's man one day, the demon, the one who smelt so smoke stained and sulfur tinged. Really, the ogre didn't see what she saw in him, but like it or not, it seemed Laoell was beyond smitten; her nightmares had calmed instantly the moment they'd found one another, and that was more than either he or the drow could ask for.

Upon approaching the demon, Lazarus, Throx explained his desire to help plump up their angel; the arrangement was made, because really, how could the red eyed demon say no? He too had been having a bit of trouble getting Laoell back on the healthier road to recovery since her torture.

Sweeties were the angel's favorite, yes, but the ogre knew protein and vitamin rich things would be best. Given the restaurant's exceedingly rich and decadent menu, however, Throx was sure he'd find a multitude of things, considering his food rich resources as a favorite bouncer for the Bronze Calf, there was bound to be a bevy of things his small lady would like...

And no, none of them would involve cats. The orge loves his felines, he doesn't nibble on them!

OOC Note: This is a small, open thread for not only Throx, but others with fun, delicious recipes you would think might 'tempt an angel' into eating. :)

This is something I've been meaning to do in other folders with other characters, but somehow, considering Laoell's frail composition and how often those in her life berate her for being so thin, it seemed best to do it here. So post one, post all! Post your favorite recipes and a little blurb to go with them that would pertain to the feeding and fattening of Laoell.

Looking for a delicious and protein packed treat can often be tough, but given the many kinds of snacks and drinks the Bronze Calf offered, and the horrendously busy schedule the staff from busboy to hostess pulled, sometimes the chefs would whip up a big batch of something quick, delicious, smooth, and nutritious, to keep them all going. It was a smoothie that often satisfied both the needs of ones tastebuds and their muscles. While Throx himself could down a kegful of the scrumptious smoothie and still have room for seconds and thirds, logic told him the angel wouldn't need such a big batch, so he asked cooky to cut his recipe down.

The Bronze Calf Chocolate-Peanutbutter Power Smoothie

Ingredients:

2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons chcolate milk syrup
1/2 teaspoon dry chocolate pudding mix
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana
1 cups ice

Throx was told that on the exceptionally busy nights where doubles or even triples were pulled, the cooky would toss in a scoop or two of whey powder to beef up the batch. Given Laoell's penchant for sweets and treats over things healthier for her underfed frame, the ogre was sure this would entice her meager appetite just right.

By her own admissions, Riley was not a well-skilled chef. No, that title was very firmly in Daniel's hands. But the few dishes that she could fix had been described as "out of this world", "amazing", and "sinfully delicious". Her specialty was a simple, but filling and delicious sandwich.

Grilled Cheese a la Riley

Fresh mozzarella cheese
Extra-virgin olive oil
Fresh cracked black pepper
Whole, fresh basil leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Crusty Italian bread
Butter

Slice the bread and spread the butter on one side. Place mozzarella cheese slices on unbuttered side, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with black pepper, and place basil leaves and tomato slices on top. Cover sandwich with another buttered slice of bread. Fry both sides of completed sandwich over medium heat until cheese is melty and ooey-gooey good and bread is nicely browned.
