It had been over a month since he came to this hellhole.

Since that Air sent him her.

He was going to kill her.

When he first arrived to the gate of the Chaotics, he prepared himself for the worst to come. And it came right on schedule. There was absolute nothingness everyone. Void of elements and life. Everything that you thought was life was gone, nothing but darkness and sorrows here - for most.

He accepted his fate, at least the Divine didn't kill him. But, he was going to make her regret that decision. Those thoughts were his only motivation, the sweet and tangible desire to bring to life to and end. He was done with his Realm, and everything about his bloodline. He was going solo. He was going to get around to those who really ran Rhy'Din... and was going to laugh at the destruction of all.

The presence of his dear brother was bittersweet. Storm had brought Xavier here many many months ago, the blackness ate any life remaining in him. But, Xavier had spies, sneaks, informants. He was keeping regular tabs on Rhy'Din, special request by Korigan.

"Korigan.. I believe I have some news to what you've been waiting for." Xavier said to him. He didn't seem to keep track of time anymore... nothing but darkness... so alone and cold...

"Yeah? What have you're informants told you this time?" Korigan said with a smirk. No information had come from Rhy'Din in so long... the best thought Korigan had was that the WestEnd murderer had been found.. and all goodness had been restored.

How depressing. He could feel the blackness start to close in on him... but the sweet image of blood dripping from that bronzed, strong neck was so close...

"Seems as though the WestEnd murderer has joined forces with more, or is becoming very busy." Xavier went on to describe the gruesomely delightful events, reading off stolen Oracle articles. "It also seems as though the Eagle gave the Divine the Exotic Stones..." This, he repeated from memory.

Golden eyes whorled on his older brother. "The Exotic Stones? Shit, she's almost untouchable now." All of his plans... killed to ruins. The Exotic Stones could no almost anything for an Elemental. They could give you defenses against some elements... block you entirely... give you no elements at all.... the blackness was creeping in, and he was about to welcome it with open arms.

"All but one really... the Black Stone." He said, and opened his palm, the stone carefully threaded onto a leather strap. "Seems as though a petty thief got ahold of it first... and now it's yours" Xavier then dropped the black stone into Korigan's open palm.

Korigan remained silent for many moments, looking down at the stone in his hand. He could already feel the stone draining him of all of his element, his entire being, but ... there wasn't much at that... down here anymore.

This stone, the Stone of Darkness... was his every answer. Not only did it remove any elemental power on him.. but everyone close to him as well. It was the only way to bottle the Divine's power... which is why it was so perfect. A battle of brawn.. how could he loose? And she was be so unaware... while she was trying to access her element... his hands would be around that lovely bronzed neck...

"Xavier.." He whispers. "How.. I cannot escape with this... how will I ever open a portal?" No... his only glance at hope was wasting away. He was so close, to escaping while retaining his powers... so close... and the one thing he needed was going to keep him here forever. No mere man can open portals.. much less inside the Chaotics. So bloody close... and it was slipping through his fingers.

"Oh, but you are wrong.." Xavier said softly. The stone had hardly any effect on him.. most of his bloodright was already taken from him. Down in the darkness... and it was oh so very empty....

"How Xavier? What must I do?" He pressed. He could see it, in his brother's eyes... the pull on darkness.. NO! He had resisted for so long.. he could make it.. he had no choice.

"The next time... we are joined by another... you can slip undetected through the portal. The Chaotics will not feel your presence."

That was it! The Chaotics did not have vision, rather, they could feel their prisoners by their element, so no one was safe... except for Korigan. He chuckled in delight.. it was only a matter of time now. The image of strangling the Air was clearer every moment.

It was one more week before he was able to escape.

Finally.

He had hid the Stone well. After all, he couldn't be seen with it, otherwise he would be undetected, and they would have hunted him down. Oh, but today was the day. Some Earth was being sent.. and he was going to be free.

"Xavier, after all of this... with Storm and Rhy'Din.... I will come back for you. I will get you out of here also, brother." Korigan had said not few hours before.

"You do not have to worry about me here. There is nothing left for me... of me... go, avenge me, and bring our goals justice." Xavier was too far pulled into the darkness... he had become One with it.. savoring it's touch....

But Korigan would enjoy filling out his brother's wish. Oh yes he would.

Now he was waiting. The Stone was around his neck, and the Chaotics didn't even spare him a glance. There! The portal was opening. Korigan was swift, just as the Earth step in... Korigan was out.

And there he was, just within the alleys of the WestEnd. Perfect. He looked up towards the sky... almost midnight, he judged. His lips then turned into a grin. He had just enough time to explore the night.. start to find his new crew.

But first... a debt had to be repaid.

((This is on Feb. 14, just shy of midnight. It is going to start again in the next thread, Best Laid Plans Pt II))
