Storm found decision-making to be a moderately easy process. Things could be very black and white - she wanted it or she didn't, it was easy or it was simple. Certainly, some situations were more complex and required deeper thought, but still she felt certain about her choices.
The most recent decisions to make were not that simple at all.
The Guardians had been in a flurry of movement since the recent agreements with King Maelgwn. People needed to be relocated, trained, and ready for the effects of this new embassy. The process was slow, but progress was still made.
"I will go to Yransea sometime within the next two weeks and develop the portal." Storm tapped the tip of her clear quill onto of her parchment restlessly, "I do not anticipate it taking more than a day or two. After that, we can start taking small groups to train before working on the island."
Shawn, Rukiya and Andrew bobbed their heads, while Cornelious frowned slightly. He had joined the small group of Guardians for trusted insight outside of the trip, "I should hope that most Guardians will be the ones constructing the island. I think it would make good show to our people and theirs if we are all together. Still, that is much more that we would usually send."
"And it might take everyone of us." Shawn leaned back in his chair and exhaled quietly. Here in the Guardian's Library, there was a peace about their meetings rather than their usual location. "We still need to find someone to send to the King's court."
"Anton's sons are going. Their mixed blood will hopefully make the separation easier and they have each other. Besides, what young men would not want to be on such an adventure?" The thought still bothered Storm, but she had to remember that her favorite triplets were indeed old enough to make their own decisions, and well-known in the stories of both their father and mother's people. "I would rather have the three of them go than just one."
"That is a lot of responsibility on their shoulders." It was now Andrew's turn to frown, "What do you think the King would assume in us sending three brothers that are barely of age?"
"I cannot say, but I will not uproot an established person and maroon them in the middle of an unknown land. These boys want an opportunity to establish themselves, and understand the importance of their position. I do not doubt them." When it came to Storm's doubts, the boys were least in mind.
