The Air realm was thrashed to almost beyond repair by normal elemental means...Almost. To kill an element would threaten the very goal they were trying to accomplish.

The earth temple was next and was was surely the same as the first. Unguarded. Apparently the Earth elementals were much too proud and arrogant to admit that they were any real danger. Racial differences would see the ones of the air too weak and pathetic to stand up to the earth. The Earth was much stronger than, or so they thought. How wrong they would turn out to be.

The armies of the death element and the fire elementals continued their supposed war path into their brother lands. Trying to prove their dominance over the other elements, or so it seemed.

The city of Lladrana was underground and connected to the earth, and destruction would be absolute and terrible. The close quarters allowed for the perfect surprise attack.

The scene of the city, terrible. Earth elementals were found murdered in countless numbers in their very homes, some of them killed so quickly they were sitting in their place of rest their bodies blackened with flames and the touch of death...and something else nobody seemed to catch on to yet.

The low light only helped to make the scene more horrible as bodies displayed in the dim light only hid the countless dead that lay beneath them. Smoke filled the stale air and the stench of death that came from various chunks of flesh that had no business being there in the first place....what was the purpose of these terrible masses of foul smelling death, their very smell made those who smelled them sick.

The earthen temple again seemed to be the target, just like before the temple was sacked, ruined from its former glory painted with blood and various body parts of the earthen defenders. They fought back, but it was in vain. Their were this time a dead fire elemental left behind, or his ashes, threatening to blow away or break at the slightest touch.

The Earthen Crystal in the center of the temple was defiled like the air one happened to be. It was cracked and its power was removed, a good 90% of the power was gone. Again the weapons of the familiar enemy would be found....with poison and black flames still blazing from the blades. The Power drain was still a mystery though.

Survivors of the assault would have faired much better, due to the fact that some of them had heard rumors of the air realm's devastation earlier. They would tell the story of a monstrous attack with fire and death spirits from their hiding places. Some of them would tell of a woman with pure black eyes with them moving towards the temple. Destroying anything in her path she was unstoppable, and that she never came out of the temple once she went in....As a matter of fact nobody saw any other fire elemental or death elemental in the attack if one was so diligent to ask them all.

The city of Lladrana was in ruins, The Earthen temple wrecked, and more death was dealt with out mercy once again. The power of the earth element was mostly stolen, and the powers that held the city together were again weakened and out of balance.

She stood silent, watching the fires burn the bodies in the proper fashion. Her jaw set, she turned over her shoulder to ask softly. "You have talked the the Fires and Waters, yes?"

He nodded solemnly behind her. "They are prepared, and are moving majority of the people elsewhere."

She nodded, before turning to walk away from the ground and through the rubble. She looked up, the sky void in the darkness of the Earth and she cringed inwardly. It was always a shock, to continuously find her connection broken. With a steadied breath, she walked through the destroyed area of the Temple, looking at the too familiar sight.

The presence of another did not have her looking over her shoulder. "I am sorry for your loses." she offered quietly.

"I should have listened." Jeremiah said, his voice laced with regret as he came up behind her.

With no physical response, she leaned down, hesitantly grabbing the damaged crystal and offering it to him. "I am going to be leaving soon, Jeremiah."

Frowning slightly, he took the nearly powerless crystal. "For where?"

"I can only tell you to find the source of these attacks. I know it is not the Fires. There must be more to this."

"You are going alone?"

She nodded faintly "We cannot risk more than we have to."

Understanding her words, he only raised a hand to rub his temple. "When?"

"Soon." she repeated, before exiting the Temple to head back to the mourning crowd.
