Topic: The Ending of the Rebellion

It would appear as any other day. Storm makes her way down the street towards the Inn, a slight bounce in her step. After her healing back at home, she felt fantastic. She had good friends, and although the Fires still ha their rebellion, majority of the Elements were on good terms. By now Ryn must have found Vanar, since she has seen him in the Inn a few times. Her deep blue cloak was wrapped tightly around her, keeping the cold out and the warmth in. She could just 'steal' warmth from elsewhere and bring it over to her, but she didn't mind the cold that much. Her bare feet made very quiet sounds as she reaches the porch of the Inn. Grey eyes look inside the glass for a few moments to catch outlines of certain patrons. She opened the door and steps inside, shutting the door quietly behind her as always. It was a farily small crowd for mid-evening, not that she minds. She takes off her deep blue cloak, revealing her long greys and blues with her symbol on her back, and hangs the cloak on the wall.

Grey eyes then look over her shoulder to then spot a friend at the table. She eases her way towards Ewan, and has he spots her he stands as always. She smiles as he stands, and she stops at the edge of his table. " 'Eve Ewan, care if I join you?"

"Of course not, please do so." He returns her smile and waits for her to take her seat before he does so.

"How are you faring, Ewan?" She says after she takes a seat across from him. It was a usual routine, one that she started to look forward too, the routine of friendships with him, Lydia and Erin. Since one was with Grem and one was out of town, she happily settles for his company.

"I'm doing well, thank you for asking. How are you Storm?" He then takes a drink of his stout, green eyes asking with interest.

"I'm doing well, now that things are starting to work out." She says with a nodd and relaxes a bit, ready to enjoy the rest of her evening in good company.

Indeed the night was young, and Korigan was willing to take full advantage of it. He checked himself, having all the needs of a Fire would against an Air, including the object that he needed to find. Yes he thought has he looked at it, this was going to be an enjoyable experience. He was quite ready to take on the Air. Once she was out of the way, everyone else would follow suite. They were nothing without her, only a fool wouldn't see that. So, instead of weakening the party, why not just take out the leader? That's how he saw it anyways. He walked through the rebuilt Temple one last time, making sure that his small army was ready if needed. It was a shame really, how most of the nation was ignorant, and was waiting for the Air to save them all, instead of joining their bloodright. No matter, he was going to fix that shortly. He stopped as he started to pass the four Guardian Seats, and walks up to it. His hand briefly came into contact with the one belonging to his brother Xavier. "I will avenge you, brother." And he meant it with every fiber of his existence. He then quickly left and walked out of the Temple into the front.

It was this part that he was only slightly worried about, getting into this other Realm of Rhy'Din. He had only been a few times, and it was a bit difficult adjusting. He thought it might be a reason for Storm's growth in power, it took so much more to call to the gift when you're away from it. But that is why he has been there, in the depth of the foreset, training, waiting, binding his time.

He then opens the portal, successfully in the back alley, behind the infamous Inn. With a sly grin, he steps through, pleased with an easy transition. He adjusts to his body with ease, gold eyes seeing that it was empty, and he was going to make sure it remained that way.

He walks away from the Inn, as far as the back alley could go before revealing itself out in the open. His golden eyes glow nearly white as he builds a fire platform to conceal it's enterance. There was no way out without serious consequences. Satisfied, he heads back towards the door of the Inn, his eyes going back to normal. Hopefully there were enough Fires in this Realm in order to keep Storm's radar at ease. He touchs the door to the Inn, and heats it to melting point... it wouldn't be much of a door soon. The plan was to drag Storm out here, and kill the door, and he was taking every precaution before he opens the door and steps inside, slightly hidden by shadows.

He welcomes Storm's company with a smile, his attention turning from the out of doors. "That makes good hearing," he replies to her news that things were working out. "No tea for you tonight, or are you avoiding all things hot least you get burned again?" He teases lightly.

She seems at ease with her laugh to his joke, and then shrewdly teases in return, "Do not make me mention red, Ewan, this conversation may go south."

He lifts a hand to stay off any further jokes at each other's expense. Then a simple nod, "You say things are working out. Does that mean the Fires have gotten over their ego trip?"

A drink of stout, then he pauses as the waft of burning seems stronger for a moment, and he turns to see if someone added wood to the fire in the fireplace.

She laughs and shakes her head, waving a hand absently. "No, it doesn't, that is still...." A pause as a fire portal was opened. Korigan was right, there were plenty of Fires that came in from the Fire Realm, and she knew that Korigan hated coming out of his own Realm. A blink here and there, before a brief shake of her head.

Ewan of course, caught onto her pause. "Is everything okay, Storm?" and he raises his brows. She always has those random moments of pauses and frowns.

She nodds easily, replacing her look of confusion with a warm smile. "Oh I'm fine.. I just.. pick up, when Elementals open portals or use their Element. It is probably Dracos, or Vanar coming into town. Though in my personal opinion," She leans closer to him, apparently adding something to their treasure of secrets. "I fear to put the fate of the Fires on that one, he's missing a few screws."

She didn't even bother to look over her shoulder, of course feeling the tempurature rise, but again, that was all normal. Ewan laughed softly, and was about to open his mouth, before her grey eyes go wide and she catches words first. "Oh, I forgot! I have something for you.. " He of course, looks at her, surprised. "Do you now?" and gives her a look of question. She nods and rummages through her pocket and pulls out an object. "I made it for you... " She sets the object on the table for his viewing. It was another sculpture of fire within ice, but this one wasn't of a horse. It was a relief, a pop up picture, of them sitting on a cloud looking up at the moon. It wasn't bigger than an average piece of paper, but it was about an inch thick to hold the fire. "I'm not an artist, but at least it is so you can tell others that indeed you sat on a cloud..." A cheeky grin was offered to him. It wasn't half bad really, you could clearly tell that it was of him and Storm. Her cheeks might be a bit flushed, but you really had to be looking for it. She had contemplated not putting herself in there, after all it wasn't about her, but at least it would offer an accurate memory for him.

Since Storm's back was to the back door, perhaps Ewan would catch a glimpse of Korigan. He wouldn't recognize him of course, but only a new face in the crowd, moving slowly towards the bar, golden eyes taking note.... perhaps Ewan would catch the stolen glances at the two of them?

He stood silently in the shadows for a few moments, golden eyes adjusting to the smaller crowd of people. He instantly recognized the Air, even from behind. And she was only talking to one gentlemen, this could be easier than expected. Though the table wasn't exactly close to the back door, the element of surprise would buy him the time that he needed. He stepped out of the darkness after a few moments, and headed towards the bar, in no rush but with direction. He did, steal glances now and then towards the Air and her companion, but in his opinion they were discreet enough for anyone to oversee. His golden eyes caught the.... object of caught flames and he frowns a bit. Where on earth did she get something like that? Well, at least it was an object of distraction.

"May I get you something to drink, sir?" The lady behind the bar asked him. His golden eyes broke contact with his assignment and over to the small blond addressing him.

"Shot of vodka, please." He then places down a silver coin with foreign symbols on it for her. She tills the coin, offers a friendly smile, and pours him a shot of vodka. "Enjoy sir."

He offers her a wolfish grin, before downing the liqour with ease. Another part of the plan, the alcohol adding in his flames. Perhaps the blond would be a thing of interest later. His eyes once again travel discreetly over his shoulder, catching Ewan's response to the caught flames. It was almost time...

He leaned forward to observe the sculpture of ice and fire, ?That?s amazing, Storm, and thank you.? A tilt of his head one way then another as he looked over the sculpture. He smiled at the memory, and even perhaps the brief sign of a laugh, ?Sitting upon a cloud. It is kind of you to create this, for I do not think many will believe me, but your manipulation of other elements does cause me concern.? He lifted the pint glass for a drink, taking another look over the gathering, particularly with the sensation someone was looking their direction frequently. Ewan was involved in too many things of secrecy to not always be aware of his surroundings, even if he did not make such awareness apparent. Intuition often his guide in the uncertainty in which this land festered.

There. A pair of golden eyes glanced over a shoulder that belonged to a newcomer to the inn. Ewan did not recognize him, and that heightened his sense of unease since rarely was the Master of Arms of any concern to any but those that knew him, and that only left Storm as the intent of observation.

?It seems you have sparked the curiosity of another with this gift,? Ewan did not gesture or speak a description, but he also did not conceal a clearly aimed glance to the man at the bar.

She shrugs indifferently at his concern, her grey eyes study the picture with thought. "It's not that I'm really manipulating other Elements... it more of.. blending them with my own. I'm quite fascinated, really." She then tilts her head, and raises the brow at the mention of attention. "Really now? There's a surprise for you.. I never.. " She stops, and closes her mouth with a blink.

She doesn't lean in close but keeps her voice dead quiet, it was only throug her gift of the wind that Ewan could hear her. " Young looking man under six feet with gold eyes?" He nodds and smiles, acting as if she said something that was humorous. Wasn't that curious?

She was about to open her mouth to speak, but Korigan moved quickly. He knew as soon as his eyes came into contact with the man with her. He quickly but gracefully made his way to their table, and spoke words first. "Storm, what a lovely surprise..." His voice one of a warm baritone. He offers another wolfish grin if Ewan glanced a look at him, for Storm didn't flinch a muscle. Korigan placed a hand to her shoulder, adding heat that only she would feel, on the threshold of burning skin. "Mind if I... share a word with you? Outside?"

He knew that he was taking his chances when he glances became longer and frequent, but it was all part of the plan, she was going to join him outside like it or not. Though the man with Storm moved things quicker than he would have liked, it mattered not, the outcome was going to be the same. He made sure that his smile was bright and friendly, assuming that the man had a good idea of who he was. Make him uncomfortable and protective, it would make victory even sweeter. The physical touch just added to the sweetness. Oh, he was a Guardian just as much as she, neither of them would flinch and squirm under pressure. Storm was a tough nut to crack, but he was going to take his time.

He knew Storm well, like it or not. Because of the courtship with his brother, they became fast friends, pratically family since they almost were. Wasn't that the thought? He was about to cause perish to his almost sister-to-be. Under the easy smiles and teasing flare of temper, he knew what lies beneath her skin. One very dangerous creature. He hoped that she wouldn't disappoint.

Now there was a bit of a matter with this other fellow here. He wasn't an Elemental, but a mere man. Shame really, but at least he wouldn't get in the way. If Storm was still the same woman, she'd lay her soul bare before harm of her close ones. Did this man know that? He might not even make it out the door, if the handle worked out, it would buy him even more time. He wanted this to be quick, yes, but... she was due for some elongated pain. The bloody woman sent his brother to the Chaotics! The mere thought of the torment she has given him causes the tempurature on her shoulder from his hand to rise, the burning beginning. Perhaps one can smell it. And of course, Storm's face wouldn't reflect a thing. Strong to the end.

So the question still remained, "Mind if I... share a word with you? Outside?"

Her face would remain calm as the sea while he started to burn her, spear her flesh. Her stomach rolled at the stench, but training had taught her otherwise. She wasn't going to start a commotion now, the last thing that she wanted to do was endanger all of these people, family and friends alike. "Excuse me, Ewan, my apologizes for his rudeness...." Even at a time like this, her lips would curl. Always risking those last words that were so sweet. She quickly stood, just to get his hand off of her shoulder. She offered a slight nod to Ewan, face calm and cool, perhaps her grey eyes sending a different message. When she nodded, she gave him a clear view of her shoulder, just in cased he missed the action, material burned through and red, angry flesh underneath. It was almost exactly on top of her previous burn. She looked up at Korigan, toe to toe, grey eyes steel and cold, but she pasted a bright smile on her face. "I've been meaning to have a word with you anyways... seems you've finally had the gall to come here.." She tilts her head slightly as she looks at him. Always being the risky sort. She starts to head towards the back door.

On her way out, she sends a message through the wind to Ewan, for his ears only. "Please, do not feel obligated to join us. This is the brother that I was telling you about, Korigan. I highly doubt that we will be doing much talking, and I will not stop you if you come.. watch an elemental battle. But please, you've done so much for me, I do not expect you to risk your neck by joining us.." She never looked over her shoulder, but she knew that he would listen to her words. She then opens the door to the back alley, and nearly recoils at the touch, oh how hot! She quickly lets herself out. Korigan followed shortly behind her, grinning as his hands gripped the metal, heating it to melting point. He then slammed the door behind him, metal melting onto each other. Well, that door was either useless or had to be broken down now.

He watched the exchange calmly, all of the exchange from words to barely concealed emotions behind them. The contradiction of pleasant smiles and the burning of Storm?s shoulder. This Korigan lacked subtly, but Ewan was not about to play the blustering fool and step into a game of which he new few of the rules. He would also not simply sit idly by.

Green eyes followed Storm?s willing departure out the back, he heard her words and placed them in his mind, that ever compartmentalized mind. The door closed, Ewan rose smoothly from his chair, abandoning his half finished pint of stout and dashed upstairs with the loping, stealthy grace of a feral cat. When he arriaved at the uppermost level, he found an empty room with a window facing towards the back of the inn. With the same quiet skill he used to enter forbidden places, he exited the inn through the window and climbed to a rooftop place behind a dormer. Korigan might know he was there, but Ewan hoped the Elemental had planned on a more forward confrontation, not something with reserve and subtlety. Ewan would wait. Storm might not need him, or she might just need an instant, the space of a breath, a distraction. He could, as always, bide his time and look for the opportune moment.

He grins as the step out and away from the back door. "I'm so glad that you're giving me a moment of your time Storm, after all I know how busy you are with turning the Fires against me.. "he tilts his head slightly as they stop walking, and faced each other. Storm was staying silent for a the time being, those usual warm grey eyes stone cold. She gave no indication to the pain on her shoulder. He would slowly crack at that shield of hers that she had already put up. He was willing to play a few risks and games, and kept his shield down. "Though I have to be honest with you Storm, majority of us have more respect for you than your 'brother'. You are one of true power.." She barely blinked, again, giving away nothing of her interest or emotion.

"Why thank you Korigan, I may rest at ease with that knowledge now." A smirk. Ha! Any type of reaction was better than none.

"There's alot that you don't know that we know, Storm Divine" Apparently this was something of interest to him, and a type of big secret.

It was now her turn to give a wolfish grin. "Oh really now? Doesn't that make you consider your options, Korigan? You know that the Goddess would not approve of such behavior." A game of words and bluffs, she could play for a while. "We all know that's why Xavier was sent to the Chaotics, because of his disobedience to his Guardianship and one of the Divine." A tilt of her head. "Are you ready for me, Korigan? One visited by the Eagle?" Another long, slow grin. Was the confidence a bluff or not?

It was now his turn to mask his emotions. Why tell her that he already knew this? That he had been having others watch her for weeks now? His pets within the West End? "Storm, perhaps it is your, disobeying the Goddess, why, if I recall of her words given to you... it would seem as if you're failing... " He starts to take a few steps close to her. "Remind me Storm, of what she.. " But he never had a time to finish his ridiculing sentence, because Storm's eyes started to glow grey. She lifte her hand up in a flash and sent an air platform in his direction, fast, strong and sharp as it sends him off his feet and to the air. By standers within fifty feet would feel the change in the air, and perhaps the sonic boom.

He had been expecting something along the lines of an attack by then, but not something of that magnitude. No matter, he thought as he stands up, and raises a hand to his mouth, pulling away and showing blood. "Perhaps we are even, but the next one will cost you..." It was his turn, for his eyes to glow white.

"I grow tired of your words, Korigan. Let's settle this the real way, prove to me that you can rebel against us all..." And with that she started running towards him, gathering the weight of air in her hands, and he started to run as well, a ball of white fire appearing in his...

They soon met, and became of fury of limbs and bursting flames. Close combat was usually waited, but with the anger in them both it was the best way to give blows. Korigan sent a stream of white fire against her air shields around surrounding her. She gritted her teeth, her shields bending to the fire, inches from her face. She gave a last push, giving way to the fire and became an offensive move, another air platform. The air extinguished the stream of white fire, but Korigan's own fire shield protected him from the blow.

Storm was a bit surprised with his defensive technique, he was fighting like an Air rather than a Fire. Cautious of this, she changes tatics and goes for more physical combat. She starts to manipulate the air, easing her motions and making the air around Korigan thicker, and harder to move. This wasn't an immediate affect, but it would take it's toll at some point. She takes a classical stance of an Air, closely related to kickboxing, and sends a kick from her right leg towards his head, the inside of her foot aiming to make contact with his face. He also takes a similiar stance and moves with the kick, taking the blow but then grabbing her leg and throwing her to the floor.

She landed with a thud and quickly uses her left leg to swipe under his, taking his legs out. He also, lands with a thud and a minor grunt. She instantly gets her legs under her and pounces on him, driving her right fist into his face. He in response takes his left arm and wraps it around her waist, and sends his right fist into her abdomen. She rolls off of him and quickly stands, and would have kicked him on the ground if he didn't rise with her.

They were both starting to quicken their breaths, eyes glowing, dancing the dance of battle. It was now Korigan who made the first move, moving to make a corkscrew punch to the side of her face, but she was faster. When he got closer, she wraps her arms around his neck, his fists but a blink away from her face, and she pulls his neck down, her knee ramming up to meet with his face. He takes the blow, and starts to lean up. away from her knee, and she gives him a horizontal elbow to the side of his face. He takes a few steps back, ending the first round, blood oozing down the right side of his cheek. She had her own injuries, but they were less visible, a severly bruised rib, if not a broken one. They stared down, the first round going to the Air.

Now that the first bout of anger had been established, he was willing to give his beating heart a few moments rest. His golden eyes glare as he spits out blood. It had been a long time since he'd seen the Air battle, and it was a sight to see. The pain meant nothing to him, he knew that he was stronger. It was time for a change though, she was dynamite with the bare flesh. In his right hand appears a broadsword, seemingly simple and plain, before it starts to glow white fire. Without giving her time to prepare herself he starts running towards her, thoughts towards the next battle ahead buzzing through his brain.

She takes a few steps back, before taking a brisker run backwards as he came for her. In her left hand appears a katana, also appearing normal, but the metal was an odd grey color, not one of normal metal. She wasn't quick enough, he was already to her right side before she was able to take a stance. Judging the damage, she bends to her left, taking the flat of the flaming sword on her, wincing as the white flames seared her flesh. But so now it was her turn, her offensive moves quick an agile, most movement within her wrist. His swordsmanship was mostly based on strength, his muscles rippling under his shirt as he puts all of his might into his swings and blocks.

They circled each other often as this sword fight continues. Because the two schools of fighting were so different, it was hard to tell who was winning. It became apparent to Storm, however, that she needed to think of something fast, because they were starting to head towards the end of back alley, and she was between the white flames of the wall, and the white flames of the sword.

Ewan studied the conflict carefully, muscles tensed and ready for what might come. It was when he saw Storm being pressed back in the alley that he felt it was time to be a nuissance. A knife, not much more than five inches from hilt to tip, from his boot he threw with accuracy, but not much hope of making its mark. He was a gnat in this battle, the annoying fly at Korigan's ear. As the blade flew toward Korigan, Ewan dropped down, unconcerned of the knife's outcome, behind a stack of crates to protect himself from any retaliation.

A cobblestone loose beneath his heel made its presense known with the scraping unsteady feel below. As Ewan peeked around the crates fingers dug the stone free. A new projectile in hand, he dashed and threw in the direction of Korigan, the end of his dash a roll behind some barrels. Muck and refuse clung to his back as he brought his feet up beneath him. There was nothing else to do but keep moving and keep distracting the Fire as the Elemental battle raged. Ewan hoped his intuition and skill would keep him one step ahead.

Korigan continued his pressng against Storm, towards the tower of flames. Then a knife flies across his front, nearly hitting him in the wrist as it runs into a wall on falls down. It was enough to throw off his mindset in the sword dance, and Storm took full advantage of this, and side steps to the right, away from the wall of flames. She takes a try for a swipe at his soft middle, but he blocked it with ease, it was going to take more than a failed attempt to throw his completely off. He even throws a ball of flames off to the roof, not minding it's location, but enough to give anyone a fright. They continued on relentlessly, Storm having a mild idea that it was Ewan who threw the knife, but Korigan wasn't sure, considering there wasn't a bloody trace of the man.

The coblestone was heard to Storm, as her grey eyes quickly see it's fall and moves to bring Korigan under it's weight. It wasn't quick enough for the coblestone to reach his head, but it did get to his lower back. He lunged forward in attempt to make the hit an advantage to him, but she easily moves aside and her katana bites the side of his flesh. She didn't want to kill him, but wound him beyond his will of rebellion as she spins to face him again. Her sword vanishes as his hand goes to place pressure on his wound. Their eyes were still glowing as a slight sound of thunder was heard. It was hard to say who won the second round. Though Storm got her blade into him, her arm was burned as she was exhausted. Push forward, now was not the time for rest.

She looked over her shoulder at the massive wall of fire. This was not good. She may not be next too it, but was still too close for comfort. Bruised clouds start to roll over them, quicker than anything natural. It started to rain.. no, call it pour. Sizzling flames try to fight the wetness, and Korigan started to produce steam. "Give in Korigan, you will not succeed." Her body remains still, but a lightning bolt was thrown at his feet, nearly touching him. Korigan lips curled into a smile. He wasn't going to win this battle all by himself...

"I've not lost yet.."He looks unfazed at the pouring of rain as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out.... an orb? Storm's face pales and eye go wide.

Korigan Blackstone

He chuckled, his voice deep and nearly a growl as he watched her glowing eyes go wide and the shock that started to appear on her face. The orb looked simple enough, looked to be made of glass with a slight red tint to it. But to Storm and he, it meant far much more.

"What are you doing with that here? You cannot use that, you are not strong enough!"Her voice sounded of one angry, her face flushed, and perhaps she looked insulted. What was he thinking, bringing that thing here?

His grin continued on his face, growing into a type of smirk. "Perhaps you're right, I'm not strong enough, but.... you are." Her face continued to flush, red cheeks of anger as she throws another lightning bolt at him with every intention of hitting him. The orb glowed at Korigan put energy into it, not enough to use the thing properly, but with her supplying it at well.... the lightning bolt did not hurt him, and instead powered the orb. There wasn't enough time for her to realize her mistake, Korigan already started to stream white flames at her. She quickly uses her shield to block it, but it wasn't going to last for very long. It was evident that her shield started to dwindle, molding her body. The rain might be pouring, but it wasn't enough water to give silence to white flames.

While her shield started to give way, her mind was racing with ideas that could possibly get her out of this mess. She starts to call upon the Four Winds, clearly the wind wasn't her strongest branch, but perhaps it would kill the fire? She started to use the wind to blow the white fire away from her and towards him, her shield growing a bit as she does so. Korigan quickly saw of her plan, and moves towards the left, a building behind him, a building that Ewan was atop, well, where he assumed he was, and grins. Surely the fire would catch hold on the building. Storm saw this too, and the winds ceased. The last thing she wanted to do was endanger Ewan, since they both thought that he was up on the roof still. Again, she was face with the same problem and time was running out, as her shield came upon her.

Storm Divine

The rain continued to pour on the pair of them, the flamed wall slowly dying and Korigan was steaming, but with the help of the Fire Orb, he would not be dwindled with natural rain. Glow greying eyes seeked some type of escape, some way to get herself away from the white flames. They practically engulfed her now, only her weaking shield kept them off of her flesh. She took a step back, and heard the splash that her foot made against the water puddle. Her grey eyes go wide-that was it!

But... she couldn't spare the energy to perform her task and continue to block herself from the flames. Korigan started to laugh as he watched her shift and move, it was only a matter of time now. Storm's eyes land on the knife that was thrown earlier, only a few feet away. She takes a deep breath, and lets go of her shield, white flames kissing and caressing her skin.

It was hard to see if damage was done, because the instant she let her shield s down, all the water on the ground hovered in the air and started to collect around Korigan, not touching him, but surrounding him completely, save the stream of white fire that he was still hurling at her. He wasn't quite ready to panic, the second Storm did anything directly to him, the orb would react.

She started to go towards him, walking white flames and begins to blow cooling air around the water which surrounded him. Stealing the cold from her clouds, the water around him started turn to ice, which was then when Korigan hurled more flames at her... how was she still moving? It was a question that she herself would ask later on. After he was entirely engulfed in the ice, save the opening of his flames, she quickly ran for the knife, picking it up. With her back to him, she swinged her body, giving herself enough motion to send the knife flying into the air and hitting her target. And it wasn't any regular knife anymore, after her touch, it held the temperature of ice, and it pierced him directly in the heart. His stream of white fire ceased, and his hands go to the knife in him. His glowing eyes die down to their original golden state, and he looked at her through the opening. She was steaming, her usual bronzed skin glowing white. "This will not kill me, you know this." He hadn't the faintest of her means.

"I know, Korigan." And with that she gave a last blow of icy air to seal the opening. Korigan fell to his knees and his flesh burst into flames inside of the orb. He was now in his true form, the white flames. As soon as he did this, Storm held out her arms, and motioned compression, bringing the ice down to about two feet in diameter. And there he was, alive, but caged inside of the ice that was held apart by her air. There was no victory dance though, for soon after she fell to her own knees, and face planted into the cobblestone, her body still glowing white and steaming.

"Swords and arrows," Ewan cursed softly from his vantage point behind some crates where he had finally stopped as he watched the Elementals at their duel. Not unlike images Storm had created before, there was the fire element tucked inside an orb of ice.

Ewan kept caution in his quick steps to Storm's side and care in his quick assessment of her condition, or what he could see of her condition. Gently he dared touch her shoulder as he intended to turn her over. If he had dropped so harshly face first to the cobblestones, he would have at least broken his nose, but there did not seem to be such damage. Luck kept Storm's features intact, but the glow and steam rising off her body disturbed Ewan. He needed to get her somewhere comfortable, and he had to find a means to do so without causing more damage.

A rainsoaked tarp lay cast aside near a wall. Ewan moved and shook it clean of debris, then returned to wrap it around Storm's body gently to protect her and him as he lifted the upper half of her body to a slight sitting position. He would wait, for a few moments, to listen to what her breathing might tell him as well as the effect on the tarp.

It was for the best that Ewan used the tarp, because though through it her skin just felt warm, but if his flesh touched hers, it would indeed give him a nasty burn. Beside the minor nicks and bruises on her face from her 'victory dance' and the glow and steam, the only other injury of mild concern is the burn that she received on her arm from the blade. Always with the burns. Her heart beat would be on the fast side, nothing to cause great alarm, but not normal either.

As he started to put her into a sitting position, Storm groaned a bit at the movement, suddenly motion was taking a toll. Her stomache rolled with the movement, but at least she was able to hold it down and not make a complete fool of herself, thank the Goddess. Her eyes fluttered open to reveal not glowing grey but white, just as Korigan's once were. The rain finally stopped and the clouds were separating to reveal the winks of stars and the coolness of night.

Her eyes took a few minutes of focus, and her mind a few minutes more as they took hold on Ewan's face. "Ewan?" A couple of blinks here and there. She started to move her head to look around her surroundings, but after the movement, she decided that wasn't the best route to take. The wall of fire was out though, and at least all the elements were natural and in play, other than herself. She went back to studying his face, it was the only thing that wasn't confusing her. "I uh... hmm... " A slight frown as words failed her. It hadn't quite dawned on her that she wasn't her standard bronzed color, or the fact that she had just captured a flame inside an orb. Another series of blinks.

Ewan could not help but smile, "Mm, very informative." He settled her close, "Try not to move too much until you've got your bearings. I can get you back to your cottage if you think you can wait here until I find a rig or carriage to get you there."

He was sure he could find one down and around the corner, but he was not about leave Storm here without some assurance as to her well being. "Or, I could carry you there, but I warrant it will not be a comfortable trip, and I don't think I could carry you and that...ice trapped fire Elemental at the same time."

That was a puzzlement to him, but he was not going to plague her with questions now. There was only one immediate question he need to have answered. "You are burning up, so I've got a tarp wrapped about you. Is this a typical state of being after a battle of elementals? To be...glowing?"

His smile at her got her to return the smile. Even at this state. Even if she was bit confused and drained, it was nice to have someone who cared with her. She listened to his words with straining attention and thought. The last set of words caused her to frown slightly and raises a hand out of the tarp to give it a hard look. She kept it away from him, to not endanger him by any means. "Ah... no, the heat and the glowing is not normal. But I shouldn't have survived the white fire, either. Nor should he be trapped in that.." Points to the huge ice orb. Perhaps if she was in her right mind, she wouldn't have told him that the majority of this battle was luck. But honesty was her character when she couldn't get all of her ducks in a row. "And you could have been hit with the white fire, and I wouldn't have been able to help you because I didn't know where you were." Her face was solemn at that, clearly that upset her beyond measure.

"Do you you know if there are available rooms in the Inn? I do not want to chance the time it takes to make it to my cottage. Perhaps an ice bath will help, at least with the heat." At least her thoughts were straight enough to try and stop anything else from happening. "I do not know if.. it is safe for me to walking around if I'm hot enough to set fire... and the orb I can carry. When I am well, I will rid of it.." A slight nodd as her glowing white eyes stay fixated on him.

"Well," he said lifting Storm up in his arms, "There's always a room in the inn. That's what makes it so special, among other things." He tried for levity as he walked toward the orb, "As to knowing where I was, well, I do have a tendency to move when something blazing hot is coming my direction." She was easy enough to carry, but the thought of the addition of an ice block with a trapped Fire elemental inside added to the mix was not a pleasant one.

He looked to the orb, "Just how do you plan on carrying that while I'm carrying you? Or is it safe enough here for awhile until you've got your strength back?" The tone in his voice could not be mistaken. He much prefer see her to resting before dealing with that thing if at all possible.

She grinned as he mentioned moving because Korigan threw hot fire in his general direction. "I know.. I guess I shouldn't have been so... blind to your hiding place. He didn't hit you, did he?" She studies him thoughtfully, well, his arms anyways. That and his face were really the only things she could look at for the time being. She kept her hands and arms to herself, though they could have helped with hanging on to him. She also resisted the urge to just close her eyes and relax her head, she made sure to keep alert, she was not quite out of the water yet. Indulgences did not have a place here and now.

At the mention of the orb, she looks down at it, twisting a bit so that she could see it while still being inside the tarp. She thinks for a moment. "No, I do not want to leave it here, it is not safe." She considers her weakness, a little use of her gift wouldn't hurt. Her glowing white eyes shift to the color of grey as she lifts the orb about to the height of Ewan's waist. She urges it to come a bit closer, and thinks for a moment. She couldn't use her gift to carry it the rest of the way, but... She grins slightly as she looks up at Ewan and mummurs, "Don't flinch..." She lifts a glowing hand out of the tarp and goes towards his face, or rather, his nose. She gets her hand within a breath of his nose, and holds for a few moments. He might not feel anything, but those green hues reflect grey for the just a brief moment. She then drops her hand back into the tarp. "It will follow us... well, you rather, inside." A cheeky grin as she looks at his face. Humor was good at anytime, right? There was also another reason for transferring the slightest of her energy into him; it now gives her a way to find him should that situation happen again. She pondered not telling him, for fear that he would be upset with her, but she respected him too much for such nonsense. It wasn't like she was going to follow him or anything of that nature. "All I did was transfer a bit of my energy into you. I am.. not well enough for the orb to follow me, but it will follow the energy in you. It will fade within a few weeks. I will be able to... sense you, like I would another Elemental. You would be much harder to find, but I can... feel you just the same..... I can take the energy back if that troubles you." And she meant it, the last thing she wanted to do was cross her boundaries with him.

He did not watch her hand come close to his face, but instead watched her face. Firstly, because it was highly unlikely she meant him harm, and secondly, because to look at her hand was merely a foolish prompt to go crosseyed. At her explanation, he smile and shook his head as he turned for the inn. "It does not bother me. I'm an instrument to serve a purpose. Right now, we need to get the orb somewhere with little burden to you."

As he arrived at the door, he rested her on a knee so he could open the door, then gathered her up again. Careful of her and the following orb, he held the door open with an elbow before continuing inside. Gently he rested her on the bottom step, "I will be right back."

It was fortunate he was familiar enough with the inn to know of the keys and ledger, which he signed and paid for a room out of his own habit of paying for things up front. He returned to pick up Storm with a slow ease, and started up the steps. The Master of Arms ignored the fact that the orb was bobbing along behind him everywhere he went. With little trouble he unlocked the inn room door and set Storm down. "I'll be sure to have ice brought up for you to have an ice bath. Will you be well enough on your own?" Not sure he was the appropriate person to assist her from this point on.

She offered a very grateful smile as he continued to help her. She mentioned nothing of any sort of discomfort in the way that he held her. She nodded when he set her down at the base of the stairs, knowing that he would come back. She caught bits of the conversation about getting a room, at least her gift was returning in full. Something about paying up front, and her glowing white eyes travel to the door where she catches sight of her cloak, always forgotten and hanging loyally at the wall. She grins slightly at her absentmindedness, she would tell Ewan of her coins being inside there later. When he returned, she offered a small smile as he picked her up, and caught a glance at the orb following him. She chuckles slightly, he was always such a good sport.

When she is set down of the floor of her room, she slowly stands on her own two feet, seeming fine, but she keeps her distance from him for obvious reasons. Her white eyes turn a shade of grey as she brings the orb away from Ewan and into her room, breaking the connection between them. "It won't be following you anymore.. " An easy smile and wink as she listens to the rest of his instructions. "Ahhh..." He indeed wasn't the appropriate person to help past this point, and she offers another smile. "I should be fine, I'm just going to go through buckets of ice and see how that works out, if it doesn't... I will think of something else... Also, my cloak is hanging on the wall near the door.. in the.. left pocket, there is a handful of coins that should cover the cost for the room." A slight nodd, as she studies his green eyes... perhaps freckles of grey in them? Hard to tell. "You do not have to wait around, Ewan... I should be fine.. " An encouraging smile.. she probably would have offer a pat to his arm, if it wouldn't burn his flesh and all.

He nodded, taking a mental note of her ideas and minor instructions. "I will leave you to the ice then. Take care, Storm." With that, and a smile, he heads out of the hallway and back down the stairs towards the commons.

Once he left, it wasn't long before buckets of ice started to appear in front of her door. She took those buckets, and started to pour the ice into the washing tub inside of her room. Her hands just on the bucket had it's effect, metal turning hot as a conductor. She put in about four buckets, before judging that it should be enough.

She looked at the ice bath with little pleasure, this was not going to be a pleasant experience. Since her clothing were not in flames, it was probably best if she left them on, perhaps they were spelled without her knowledge. She quickly puts one foot in, and then the other, before unceremoniously placing herself inside. The impact caused steam to quickly fill her room. It brought relief though, relief she didn't realize that she needed, as she quickly melted the ice. Her glowing started to dim as she emerged herself in the the icy waters.

It didn't take as long as she thought, but three ice bath's later... the balance of elements within her was back to normal. She pulled herself out of the tub, cloths soaking wet, but at least without damage as she studies them. It was so odd.. that she, nor her clothing, was marred by the white fire. It was something to think about.. but now wasn't the right time for it.

It only took a few minutes to steal heat from the hearth below, and blow the hair air on her to dry herself. She didn't exactly have any other options for the time being. After she was dry, she ran her hand through her hair.. crimps and curls back to their original places, she looks towards the giant orb now, with a deep sigh.

She walked over to it, and studied it for a while. "It's a shame, really Korigan. Your strength would have been welcomed if you would have only worked with us. Perhaps the Chaotics will set you straight... perhaps you're smarter than your brother." she says this softly, and those grey eyes of hers begin to glow again... she was not yet ready to rest.

The tattoo baring her left hand along the wrist, also began to glow. She started chanting foreign, odd words. The tattoo begins to glow black.. the deepest black there can be, and she winces visibly. It hurt so... and so much energy to call upon the Chaotics... but it was needed. The last time.. she resorted to Bob, a move needed, though questionably past a line.

After what seems like hours of draining her element.. where she almost could bare no more... the portal opens. And she didn't waste a moment . She quickly heaved the orb into the darkness and beyond. The portal was gone the next instant, and Storm nearly collapsed onto the floor.

Now was definitely a time to rest. She hobbled onto the bed, and nearly past out in exhaustion. But it was over... finally over.
