Chapter One: The Attempted Failure and The Unexpected Vacation

Dust walked along the grassy lawns of the glen barefooted. He wore a black suit pants and a dress shirt to match. His red tie flung about in the wind as he took small puffs on his cigar. He was amongst the crowd, his orange eyes looking about and his nose picking up the delicious smells of the feast.

A figure wondered the Harvest Festival in search of something. His head was turning slowly from side to side until he spotted Dust and gave an evil smile. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the most opportune moment.

Dust could feel the strange presence of another being starring him down. He looked about to see that man again. He took another puff of his cigar before putting it out and standing to his feet. He nodded to the man and walked over to him. Dust was motioning for him to follow him into the forests edge just outside of the party. The sound of the Luau could still be heard, the people laughing and conversing. He stood behind a tree and waited for the man to come around.

He saw Dust move about and followed. Secretly his hand moved to his back and took out a sharp dagger and quickly moved around the tree to Dust. Thrusting his dagger quickly to where he thought would do the most amount of damage. His heart would be ideal.

He saw the knife and grabbed it as it landed deep into his chest. He quickly sighed for a moment and looked down to see it embedded into his chest. "Damn you, bugs are beginning to annoy me." He reached his hand up to grab holes of the man?s neck and let his hand heat up with energy. forcing heated plasma to come from his hand and heat the air molecules around them.

"Tell your priests to burn in hell." He let go of the man?s neck and walked away and back towards the party. He had nearly forgotten that a knife was sticking out from his chest. He gripped onto the handle and pulled it out. His Corium Blood spewed out for a few moments before he begin to heal himself for the moment till he could be better looked at.

His neck burned and stung, and very quickly he could feel his throat swell. Blood vessels popped and simmered,? You bastard.? He fell to his knees, then face down as his body lost all feeling and he drifted off.

"Damn assassins. Always trying to get rid of me in some way. The blackness of his blood covered his shirt and smelled like sweet sugar. He knew no one would know his blood was black as the night and smirked about it. Although the large cut on his shirt would cause some questions later on. He walked back into the party and yelled out to Antonio. "Eh comrade, could you make me another Martini?"

Antonio mixes the martini, and sets it on the bar for Dust,? Martini up!?

He grabbed his Martini and walked back away from the party to take a better look at the body he just disconnected. He knelt down and looked over the body closely. Implants on the back of the neck signified that the assassin was indeed working under one of the priests. Why the priests would want him dead now and so soon was beyond him now, but he knew this would come sooner or later. It was a good thing his wife wasn't here to see all this. Dust rolled the body over to look in the pockets.

The entire face was eaten away now and caved in. He smirked at the sight and hadn't seen any real action since he was given the crown. The pockets were full of daggers. No doubt it was an assassin to come after him. The tattoo on the man?s collar bone had shown a burning snake wrapped around a women. Now he was sure it was the priests. He took another drink of his Martini and looked in the last pocket.. "Here it is." He pulled out a rolled up writ of the Priesthood and tucked it into his own pocket.

He sat the Martini down and grabbed both arm, pulling him to the nearby lake and letting his body float along the surface. Orange eyes looked about to find a large rock or something and found a nicely sized rock. He picked the heavy stone up and tossed it out over the lake, watching it land on the floating body and taking it down to the lake bed. He laughed as he walked off to retrieve his Martini and commented on his throw. "I think that was better than the Bal toss." Snickered and grabbed his drink.

Sarah slowly made her way down the winding path. She had her fingers in her pocket and a smirk on her lips. Between those lips was a lit cigarette burning in spirals as she took in all the noises. Copper hues danced over the crowed and her head turned side to side. Her brows lifted and she paused on the edge, best way to be seen possibly. Her dark green dress fitting snugly over her figure as she murmured to herself," My my, quite the party..."

He tore the grass skirt off from his hips and let it land to the ground as he walked away. Dumping the Martini as well and setting it down on one of the near by tables. He would have to make his trip quick. He activated his ComSat and zoned into his contact.. "Sir Andre.. go to my safe house on 15th street and grab the pink key off from the key hook on the door and drop it off at our usual spot......." He listened to the response.. "I chose pink because it's was the only color left in the hardware store.. look stop asking me questions and just get the key. I'll meet you at the checkpoint in 10."

With that said he walked away from the party and could see the path leading right into the city. He spun around on his heels to take on final look at the party and the crowd. He had spotted his wife just as he felt her ripple. "damn-it.." He said under his breath. He stopped, folding his arms over his chest and waited for her to catch up. "I was wondering when you would show up? How was the trip?"

Grass skirt and a Martini..? Sarah followed the trail starting with the skirt. Memorizing it before it left his figure, he actually looked good in it. She grinned and observed for a moment. She was still moving on her toes slowly until he turned about. She picked up pace and smiled brightly. Her hair pinned up in a small bun by chopsticks a few strands curling out over her face. It looked like way back when her hair was short and she didn't even need pin stop pull off the look her hair was done in.

She paused for a moment where his arms had crossed over his chest and her brow arched. Smirking she moved to join his side and spoke softly," The trip was alright, the fall was better. Yet here I am." She beamed lightly to him and then snickered," Should have kept the grass skirt on. It looked great."

"Thanks." He looked up to the sky for a moment and seeing the moon. Figuring out what time it was almost immediately then looked to the path way leading to the city. He leaned over to her and gave her a kiss. "I missed you." He could smell the sweet sugar like scent that the blood on his chest gave off. He was wondering if she would catch the scent as well and know that he was bleed. His black shirt had made a good cover for his blood to blend into. It was the smell he was worried about most.

"Uhm.. hunn, I need to make a quick trip into town. I completely had forgotten about my mask for the festival. You know me and my masks. I'll only be about 15 minutes." He gave her that pleasant smile of his and looked to the path leading to the city, being able to see the city form where he stood.

She would kiss him back and smile. It wouldn't be long before her nostrils would pick up on that smell. Her brow rose higher and her head tilted to the side. Sarah's face went from light and delightful to a very strong concerned," Dust... Why do I smell blood?" How could Sarah not know that scent? Honestly before she had become a core she was a werewolf feeding off the stuff. She mirrored his stance and folded her arms over her chest," What did you do?" She ignored the part about him running off for ten or fifteen minutes. Her questioning gaze growing as she leaned in and sniffed," It's coming from you..." Her head lifted and she curiously peered at him," Isn't it?" Did she really have to ask?

He grinned to his and popped open her shirt, showing off the nice little dagger that broke off into his chest. Black blood was slowly pouring from the center of his chest. 'Knight to King, are you there? Knight to King, over.' Dust could hear Sir Andre over his ComSat clear as day, 'I'm dropping the key off above the door in the alleyway off of 22nd and 3rd avenue. Over' Dust cleared his throat and smiled to Sarah. "I was attacked by an assassin." He kept it simple, short, and to the point. Again he heard Sir Andre over the ComSat, 'Sir, is everything okay? Over.' He bared a grin as he mumbled.. "King to Knight, I'm a bit busy at the moment. Over." Knowing Sarah would have heard him mumbling over his ComSat.

Was that supposed to make her comfortable? Her eyes budged wide when she saw the remains of the dagger and gritted her teeth. She listened to him as he spoke about the assassin. The woman was not happy and it showed, but for now she was more worried about her husband," Please tell me the one who did this didn't get away?" Honestly she had started to walk past him towards the path he was eyeing. She only paused for a moment to turn and look at him," Well come one and take me where you're going so I can get you-" She paused and pointed towards his mumbling," What did King just say to Knight?" Her head tilted and she drummed her fingers on her arms. Nagging and concern seemed to almost be on the same level, or just really riding on a thin line.

"Uhm.. I didn't.. say.. that." He looked to her trying to hide the fact that he was talking over his ComSat and smiled to her. "I.. uhm.. said Your looking good to knight. Do..you want to.. get busy.. Uhm.." the rest mention something about bending over.. He gave her an evil yet teasing grin.. even in pain he was ready for some one on one action.

Sarah just gave him a flat look. Her fingers pointed to his chest and she sighed," Common love lets go get you cleaned up. We can talk about how bad of a white lie that was later." Shaking her head and rolling her eyes she started to move back down the path. Not a clue where they were going, but she was sure he would take the lead eventually. She smirked lightly and mumbled," We'll also discuss just how busy you want to be while I take care of you." Snickering and thinking of just what she'd enjoy right about now with it being her birthday and all.

He walked along side of her and could see the city only a few hundred yards away. Thinking about the alley way where the key was he begin to see it clearly, right above the back door leading into the underground gambling casino.. Oh this was just great. How could that Andre leave the key in such an obvious place? He looked to his wife talking about his white lie and grinned.. "Who said I was lying about that?" He raised a brow to her and looked her up and down. He had to admit, she was dazzling in that dress with her hair all done up nicely the way she did.

They walked down the streets together; he was like an efficient GPS computer. He knew where he was and where he was going. Taking a turn down one of the first alley ways he came across and seeing a few men sitting guard to the back door of the casino he smiled to them and simply reached up and grabbed the key, then ran back down out of the alleyways to meet up with Sarah.. "Heh, got it." He said, holding up the pink key to let her see.

Sarah knew he liked her hair short. She was thinking about cutting it again for him soon, but she wouldn't tell him when. Surprises were better that way. She looked to him as he spoke and smirked," Well... You're still covering something up Dust Belarus..." She blushed softly when he looked her up and down. His grin was always charming in a twisted way.

Even when he was being his most mischievous she was always able to adore him. While they walked down the streets together she'd send a glance every now and then in his direction until he got the key. She blinked and examined the key," It's pink..." Her eyes locked with his and she questioned," What kind of safe house has pink for a key?" Not that she was making fun or anything. Though her grin said otherwise.

"If only I got a gold coin or Imperial Credit every time somebody asked me that question.. I'd be rich!" He thought for a moment and snickered, "Wait, I'm already rich." He laughed and continued walking. The steps to the underground train station could be seen where they were. Soon they came to the steps and walked down to the lower city limits. a ticket booth was near the train tracks, and lining the walls was a series of lockers. That pink key went to one of them.

He fit the key into 337 and turned. the locker popped up with a clank, inside was a brand new black suit and red tie with a new pair of shoes all of which was wrapped in clear plastic with some odd code names printed on the labels. Other items within the locker was a handgun, clips, field knife, piano wire, and some cigars with matched. He quickly stripped himself of his clothes and handed them to Sarah,? mind throwing those in that trash can over there??

Sarah went blank as he stripped in the middle of the station. Leave it to Dust to show no shame. She snickered and nodded," Should I burn them as well for security reasons Dear?" She teased as she meandered towards the trash can and plopped them in the bin. Her hands clapped together before she turned to look back to him. Taking in the view of her husband for a moment and sighing," Sure... now you decide to tease." She moved back over to him and blinked," Let me see your chest...." Suddenly she was very serious, even when her eyes locked with his.

As he saw her moving over to the trash can to throw his old clothes away he pulled the broken off blade of the dagger from his chest and looked at it. It was obvious this was at the hands of the Priesthood. He threw on his suit and correctly knotted up his tie and adjusted it. She took the gun and placing it within the confines of his suit jacket. The field knife was tucked up his sleeve, cigars in his breast pocket along with the matches, The piano wire was wrapped and tucked into his back pocket along with the broken blade of the dagger. He smiled and looked to his wife and raised a brow, "My chest will heal up quickly. It didn't scratch my core thank goodness."

Even after his reassurance she still stood there with a flat look on her face. Sarah folded her arms as if she was waiting for something and sighed," Just tell me what's going on. Why would anyone attack you Dust Belarus? Why is it everywhere you must go, you have to look over your shoulder?" Yeah she was worried, but it was her life she was looking at. All complied together in the man across from her. Smiling to him she moved to run her fingers over his tie and line it up a bit for him,"

He turned around to see Sir Andre on the other side of the tracks looking at the two of them. Andre was pointing at the male bathroom right next to the train lockers. Dust looked back and nodded followed by a smile. He looked to Sarah for a short moment and held his hand up letting her know to wait one moment. He quietly and slowly walked over to the door of the men?s bathroom with his hand in his jacket, slowly pulling the gun out.

He opened the bath room door with ease and sneaked in. The door quietly shut behind him and flashed came from the edges of the doors like a camera flash going off. A yelp you be heard and a man wearing a monks robe limped out from the bathroom with his knee cap blown out and his shoulders shot up. Dust soon came out after and pointed the gun to the man. "Why are the priests coming after me now? Where are they? And what are their names?"

The man spit at the ground in front of Dust and began to chant in another tongue. Dust quickly ran over to the man grabbing him by the robes and tossed him onto the train tracks. "Answer me you black book worshipping prick!" the tunnel lit up and the sound of a trains horn echoes through the tunnel. Dust looked to the man and waved his hand as if saying good luck and good bye, shooting the man in the center of the forehead and watching the train fly over the body with ease. He looked to his wife with a grin, and still had in his head the questions she asked earlier about him if he didn't go one day without some sort of trouble then he'd be bored.. He grinned and commented, "quite so."

Then walked over to her grabbing her hand and leading her up the stairway to the surface streets," Of course, it would be best if we left the city. There's no telling how many more there are in the area." Then he thought for a moment about the Mountain, "Shit.." He popped onto his ComSat and began rambling on ciphered codes and emergency calls, "Black Bird 1.0.1. - White Magma is in the muffins. I repeat, Grab your Shells, and write your ABC's. Over" Some gibberish came over the other end as he looked to Sarah, holding her hand," Looks like you got your wish. An early vacation after all."

Sarah took up leaning against the lockers and waiting. Dust was at play so it was okay. Her fingers drummed over her arm and she only blinked once, maybe twice as the sound of a scuffle came from the bathroom. Her head turned about from side to side, looking for anything unusual or out of place. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole situation other than the fact that she was glad she finally got to see him on a day he wasn't teaching the guards.

Sarah saw the grin and smirked to him," Have fun?" She said as they moved up the stairs. In her eyes anyone who touched her family should meet the same fate as the one now painting the tracks with his blood. She snickered and squeezed his hand tightly;" Can we go have some fun now?" Even though she knew he was having quite an enjoyable evening, but she was eager for some one on one time with her husband.

He smiled giving her a gentle kiss and then holding onto her tight as he pushed off from the ground, their bodies leaving the earth and with oddly striped speeds they found themselves on an air ship of the color blue. He looked about the ship. It was a large chunk of a mountain with trees and water all over it. The under belly of the rock was made from wood and thick plates of iron to form a ship looking base.

Rooters spun and a large air balloon hung above their heads. At the side of this ship was a large hole leading into the rock. His personal ship parked inside with the landing gear down. It was funny how these odd turn of events took place. "I hope your ready.. now where to?" He asked as he led her down some steps built into the side of the rock like airship, leading them to that large hole mentioned earlier.

Sarah blinked and looked to him as he said early vacation. She arched a brow upwards and wriggled her nose lightly. Her eyes took in the city and she held onto Dust. She clicked her teeth and turned to look back to him again. Obviously this assassination attempt was something that she had figured was, well.. worse then he was letting on. She was as ready as she could be, well, as ready as she would be for any adventure he had to offer at that point. She took one more glance to his chest and her scowl was back.

She followed him, careful of the steps she took and making sure they were out of ear shot," You know when we get into our quarters I'm going to have some rather serious questions for you." She was serious and stern, after all what were wives for? She made sure to keep up with him even as he asked her where to. That took some thought and she sighed," I don't care where just as long as it's somewhere where I can keep my eyes on you Dust Belarus. You sure as hell know how to make a woman worry about you." She puffed lightly and reached up to pull the chopsticks from her hair. The golden locks came spiraling down over her shoulders as she rushed about. Locks bouncing with each step she took.

He walked into the hole in the side of this rock like air ship and there it was. It was a beauty, althought nothing compared to his lovely wife. It was grey and yellow. the engine itself took up most of the ship, which led most people to believe it was capable of being a luxury ship and a battle ready ship. But Dust had hoped not to run into any trouble, He just needed to solve this problem and solve it fast. he looked to his wife and then to the cargo bay ramp as it lowered.

"Better to get aboard now before we're spotted again. He walked up the loading ramp and straight to the cockpit. His IDAU four legged bot was standing at the controls and was ready to navigate the ship to where ever he desired. Patting the four legged bot over the head he then looked back down the hall to see he their quarters at the very end. He looked back to the IDAU and said, "you know where to take us, so take us there safely." He then walked to the back of the ship and rested himself on to the bed. Now hoping his wifey was aboard before that loading ramp had closed shut.

He didn't have to say it again, or hope that she was there. She moved up after him even though she was growing more aggravated at the lack of sense her husband was making. She had moved with ease back towards him, her jacket coming off as he settled onto the bed. She plopped it down anywhere at that point and leaned to the side. Her tribal tattoo danced up and down her right arm and disappearing down beyond her dress as she sighed. For a moment she weighed what to do next. Her voice came with a worried tone," What's going on Dust? Just tell me what's going on."

She was slightly afraid, but not so much. She knew that with them together they both would be safe, but with what happened while she was away still weighing on her shoulders. Still she stood there, a good bit away from him, not wanting him to distract her and lessen her worries by being wonderful or saying something to make her swoon as usual in situations like this. Again her arms folded and she kept focus, really wishing he'd give her the chance to at least look over his chest, even if it was just a flesh wound.

He sat up and leaned off from the bed, kick off his shoes and taking off his pants and shirt. The slight movement of the ship could be felt as they began to take off from the airship and ascend into space. He knew when they were in the outer orbit and just entering outer space when that sudden fluid smoothness of the ship took over that rigid inner atmosphere shaking, almost like turbulence. He looked to her with those orange eyes of his and lay back down on the bed. "Well come on over here and take a look at my chest wound while I fill you in with the details." He didn't smile or try to tempt her with his charm.

He just laid there and looked up to the ceiling of their quarters.. "those assassins who attacked me. they are part of a rather large brotherhood of men who started out with good intentions. To preserve and protect common lore and facts that were spread across the universe. Over the last few millennia did they become corrupted with power, being able to twist any the facts they so well preserved to their advantage. They now call themselves the Priesthood, they know the truth of the Imperial Core race and see them as Demons and devils. A race of Imperial Cores that tries to twist the minds of man and try to use their evil to take over the entire universe... but you know as well as I do that those are lies of the Priesthood." He thought for a moment as he still looked to the ceiling, the ship now leaving the gravitational pull of the Planet of Rhy'Din. The four legged IDAU bot stood at the controls with its tail wagging and setting a course for the planet of the Corbin Family. The Economical Power aspect of the core Empire.

Sarah didn't have to be told. She was already kicking off her heels and concentrating. Her palm folded flat and she thought of gauze, bandages, rubbing alcohol and whatever else would come in a standard first aid kit. She felt the contents appear in a box and sighed. She was already picking up on her new skills so easily.

More monkey see monkey do. Her form moved over to the edge of the bed and she settled down on her knees. Her feet were off the edge of the bed as she leaned over and opened the kit. She didn't care if it was pointless. While he spoke she would nurse his wound. Nodding to show she understood what he was saying to her. Her hands would move to her dress and tare a good clump of it from her frame along her right let. She poured the cleaner on it as she settled down.

Her hands lead to his cut and dabbed at the opening, even then she was careful in what she did. She cleaned the flesh and turned her orange eyes upwards to look in his," So they seek to be rid of us is that it?" It was the only question she had as she moved back to the kit. Her tone was just as serious as his own. She fumbled with the gauze until she had a good amount gathered up and placed over his chest. Before she would tape it up however she formed a silver charm without blinking an eye. It was no more than the size of a quarter, but it was enough. It didn't have the usual S that came from when she last used this method, it was a B and she took this charm rather seriously. She pressed her lips to the coin and exhaled against it.

For a moment it would glow then fade back to its silver sheen. She tucked it under one of the layers of the gauze and slowly started to tape it down. For a moment her fingers paused over the charm and made sure it was secure. Her eyes closing and her hands moving to fold over her lap," They sure know how to make a new core welcome don't they?" She was trying to be a bit light in the mood even though she was plotting how to take the next monk she saw from the priesthood limb from limb for harming Dust.

He sighed as he felt her touch the wound and looked it over, oddly enough.. he felt the pain of that dagger. Thinking it was enchanted in some way, he knew he had to take a closer look at the dagger that was in the back pocket of his pants on the floor. He cleared his throat before speaking again.. "Anyways.. They have it written in stone that the Demons... or correctly said, Imperials Cores.. are a dying race and soon they would be wiped from the face of the universe. Boy were they wrong. They soon discovered that we both had ascended and I had become Emperor and you Empress. Because they have told the entire universe that Imperial Cores are Demons and dying out... and even more so... you'll find this part humorous.. that the there was no such thing a Celestial Cores.. that they were a demonic myth among pagans. the truth is that Celestial Cores are the basis of their order.. Remember I told you that Their mission in life was to protect common Lore and the true word of the creator?"

He smirked and soon laughed.. "Celestial Cores are their words of truth. If word got out that they were a brotherhood that worshipped demons.. they would be killed. If you've noticed. Their Symbol of truth was.." He pointed to a hologrid nearby the bed and it popped up exactly what he was talking about, an old cloth in one of their museums. It bore the symbol of a man and women joined at the hands with large white flower with six pedals in the background. He smirked. "Now their new spiffy little logo of truth is..." the hologrid popped up with a large black iron shield held by one of the high priests. The Shield was cleverly design with a black figure of a women with a burning snake wrapped around her. "Now tell me.. which one do you think looks more demonic?"

The fact that the imagery was so different almost made her sick. She knew it was a mockery of Ash and Aya, knew that the symbol of the empire was taking a blow by even being put in the same light. Her head turned to him and she kept from cursing a few times before she spoke," So basically they won't stop until they're all dead or we're dead. Frankly dear that sucks, even seems like they're a group of fools just dressing up and playing tough. Still there is one thing that aggravates me more than anything Dust. You got hurt. That's not forgivable Dust. And if I have to I'll make everyone of them pay..." She kept her voice from braking, her anger and aggravation at it's peek while she muttered," If something happened to you I don't know what I'd do Dust... I don't know what I'd do."

Orange hues moved to look to him; she turned to trail her fingers over the arm she knew he had given for her. Swallowing she looked down at it and sighed," But I'm pretty sure it would be along the same lines as what you did for me last night. In fact I swear it Dust." She shook her head. Sarah couldn't see a life without Dust, hell she had a hard enough time when he was gone for weeks on end. But this was different. Someone out there was threatening to take him away from her permanently and she would have a few things to say about that. Hell she'd have more than just something to say to offer to those righteous pricks that had the audacity to call themselves monks.

"Have no worries hunn. What angers me and makes me almost scared is one little detail in that picture there." He pointed to the black figured women wrapped tightly with a burning snake. He smirked.. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." He snickered to himself as he sat up some, feeling the pain of his chest wound begin to subside some; he knew that dagger did something strange to him.

"Let me ask you a question.. and to be honest I wouldn't know the answer to this unless I actually paid attention to my instructors back on Mahikanah." He chuckled once more looking from that holorgrid back to Sarah, "More importantly, that women entangled in that snake.. do you know she is? And do you know what that burning snake represents?" He cleared his throat for a moment and sighed for a moment..

If Sarah could go by the stand point that was Earth religious point of view she would think of only one way to answer that question. She came to settle down, her legs hanging off the edge of the bed as she sat there, observing that symbol for a few silent moments. Her hair fell in her face and she drew in a ragged breath," It's Eve isn't it? Or in this case the mother of all Cores. My guess is the snake is like the Devil back home. It was because of her being tempted by the devil to eat the forbidden fruit. It was because of her that both Adam and she were cast away from grace and Eden."

That was how she saw it at least," They are trying to show that Eve was a demon, gripped by the devil and in essence nothing more than a creature that belongs in the fires of hell." Sarah looked to Dust and shook her head," Isn't that a pretty poor way to represent Aya though? I mean... I don't know much of Aya, but she was certainly not a creature of hell working as a pawn of the devil's.." Now all she had to do was hope that she had gotten something right with what she had just said.

"Well here's where you first real history lesson begins." He pointed to that Black shield.. "That Shield looks like it's made from iron, but is actually Neutrilium carbon Fiber.. the same material our Core Cells are made from." He glanced to the closet with the glass doors to see both of their Core Cells hanging up all batman and robin style. He looked back to the flaming snake, "And there isn't just one snake.."

He looked to the hologrid and changed the thermal readout of the hologram with just a thought. The hologram changed from blue to red to green and then to white. Making the Black figured women look more grey, along her body was the tattoos of another snake winding up her body in the opposite direction of the flaming snake.. "It's a DNA strand.. two snaked swirling around each other to form the DNA readout of an Arch core. With such blueprints right under everyone noses,, anyone who could read the ciphers could create an army of brain washed Arch Cores."

He held a serious expression across his face now that he was going to dive deep into the secrets of the universes history. He looked to the women and sort of teared up. wiping a tear from his eyes he cleared his throat and continued.. "...your correct.. that's Eve... the machine. At least the original model.. or the prototype. Blackened with darkness and corrupted to create a new darker breed of the Imperial Cores... Cores that descended into Arch Cores. Talk about an odd twisted history of lies we live in today, huh?" He smirked and looked to Sarah.. "And now to put it even more clearly......" He took a deep breath that turned into a sigh. "The Priesthood are baring the Symbols of one of our sworn enemy's..." He stopped there to let her fill in the blank.

"The Nano Empire..." She swallowed. Her eyes turned to look at him, bringing a hand to wipe the tears he missed. A frown was on her lips as she sat there. Her head lowered and she sighed, only giving a feeble head shake showing more than anything that she understood what he had just said," Basically the Arch Cores are being influenced by the Nano Empire to do its dirty work. Why not get blood on their hands where they can make it look like a bunch of mercenaries or radicalests looking to start a coo within the empire. Once the fighting is done and the Empire's in ruin they can just come in and finish what they intend to do. The best way to do that is to just pretty much make sure that the Emperor and Empress are dead. With no one to look to the Empire would be lost for good." She scoffed," Sickening."

He gave a more serious grin to her that gave off a sense that there was more to this picture than what met the eye.. "Actually hunn.. To be more precise.. The Arch Cores are the Nano Empire. With The organic version of the machine... Eve as their mother." He sighed and sat down on the bed next to her, his arm coming around her and letting her head rest on his shoulder while his hand rubbed her shoulder in a comforting manner.

"If you want to be better prepared for the tough road ahead... we can start your lessons now while we still have time." He looked to her with that serious expression once more, he knew one way or another she would have to be armed with knowledge in order to survive this wake of evil that seemed to follow them where ever they went.

She turned her figure so that her legs would drape over his lap. Closing her eyes while he spoke and nodding. Her whisper came while she processed what she had just learned," Yeah, I like that idea. Teach me all you can Dust. Teach me all you can and as fast as you can." Her eyes turned up to his and she gave a weak smile," I'm ready." She turned her fingers over the coin in his bandage and swallowed. Not sure what else she could do. However, now that she knew what was going on she began to wonder if this was some kind of ordinary wound or not.

Chapter Two: The Lesson

His mind was set and he felt confident he could instruct her just as Ash would have. He smiled to her as he got comfy on the bed and brought the Hologrid closer to them. "The first thing you'll need to know is how the Nano Empire operate." the hologrid shifted pictures to a clip of a planet.. it zoomed in closer and closer and closer until the grey planet could be seen as nothing more than a bunch of grey beings all jointed together in odd shapes and such. It was a hive.

A planet that was as ordinary as the planet of Rhy'Din.. fleets of the Nano Empire had invaded this innocent little planet and infected ever living being, including men, women, children, and animals. It didn't matter.. Their bodies swell up like obese illnesses and their limbs connected to each other and molded into one.. making the entire planet consumed by one large organism... a collective mind. The clip showed all of this and soon showed large machine like ships move in on the planet..

A hour marker showed at the bottom right hand side of the holo screen to show that it only took 18 hours for the planet to look like this. the machine like ships would move in and harvest this collective field of joined beings. Literally cutting them into small grid like a city, scooping them up and letting them grow onto a pre-built gigantic android. the android would be lifeless until at least two to three dozen of these joined bodies had successfully joined themselves and grown onto these mammoth Robotic Androids; they would spark to life standing at 5 meters, body parts stemming off in any direction. these fighting bi-pedal tanks of destruction were known as "The Taken." Pretty simple for a name seeing how the bodies were literally taken from their home world and forced to be a collective mind. Dust looked to Sarah for a moment to see if she was able to understand the lesson and too see if she could keep her stomach down. "you alright hunn?"

Sarah sat up once she had looked over the process. She actually reached out to the hologrid and continued to review over and over what she had just seen. It would be several minutes of constant review before she would even attempt to answer him," All those people, all of them... They just basically consumed them?" She swallowed and turned to look at Dust her eyes welling up but she bit back the few tears she had," They just... consume and devour everything until they're done and move on..."

She settled down next to him after taking a few deep breaths and whispered," I'm okay... Just... Did this happen to the worlds that fell when Ash died Dust?" Her head turned and looked towards him again, a small line of sapphire clinging to the rim of her eyes as she gathered herself before he went on to the next part of the lesson.

He nodded to her. He remembered how his parents and family from long, long ago were killed.. back when you?re either trying to survive or you?re consumed. Remember only being alive for less than 8 years and seeing what the threat really was.. to go beyond the outer parts of known space and enter the blackness of unknown space.. to see no stars at all.. but one.. to get look out through a magnified supra-telescope to see planets eaten and stars blacked out.. the one bright thing he thought was a star was actually that collective.. all those beings from all those burnt out stars and dead planets were just dangling together like one large organism. He could remember Ash comprehending the threat and hearing him comment.. 'Do you know what would happen if those infected Imperial Core like us..'

He remembered not answering the thought was already there, but that was so many years ago when he was much younger than he was today. He looked back to Sarah and nodded to answer her question," All of them, the planets were stripped of their resources afterwards.. and as for Imperial Core.. They became what we call The Forsaken.. or the children. Because that?s what they were.. I remember during the first Nano War I fought in.. I was being chased across the desert by thousands of 'children' all of them crying out in pain, screaming, and laughing. All of them were Imperial Cores ripped from their mothers bellies.. It was one of the most frightening moments of my life. but I had no choice but to deal with them. I remember sweeping up the desert sands to tear them apart, shredding their every existence.. and calming their pains."

He cleared his throat as if he still hasn?t made peace with himself for what he had to that day. "But they grow, and when they grow up.. they become this.." He pointed to the screen to show a full grown Nano Core. A slim Imperial Core popped up on the holo screen. Pale, sunken eyes, almost blind.. most would have their eyes, mouth, and nose sewed shut. Hair shaved from their bodies and mostly bonded like some sort of kinky uniform to both scare and make the curiosity of people grow.

They had the ability to sap the bones from living being and watch as their bodies fell under their own weight, flapping about like fish out of water. They could fade in and out through alternate dimensions, which added to their fighting abilities. Majority of the higher ranking "Forsaken" Nano Cores could devour beings completely or absorbed them into their own bodies to make them bigger and stronger. The screen switched and showed what they did to their own fallen soldiers.. Machine would come out from the sky and pick them up to either be recycled or served for dinner.. yes! They ate their own. The clip ended there and dust looked over to Sarah. "...well I was hungry."

She didn't know what got to her first. Yes, the fact that the once proud Empire was reduced to food for the Nano Empire, but that didn't seem to be what got to her the most. She listened with immense attention, but as he said what she didn't expect her eyes shot open wide. Her fingers and hands shot to her stomach and she swallowed back a scream of horror. For a long while she'd let him continue what he was saying, let him show what he wanted to show. However, Sarah had gone still, rigid as she lay besides him.

As he spoke for the last time, not even bothering to review she rolled over and faced him. Her face just moved to bury in his chest. She was shaking, absolutely shaking but other then rolling over nothing about her form had changed. Her hands were still gripping at her stomach as she drew in slow, pained breaths. Her eyes were closing and tears were now fully falling from her eyes as she thought, no, imagined having her child torn from her. It was something she prayed she'd never, ever have to experience.

To lose something that could be so innocent like that and to know without a doubt that child was going to be lost to darkness forever tore a bit at her soul. She couldn't let that happen to their children, wouldn't. She'd die before she let their children turn into something living a life of agony and horror when it should be living a life of love and care from mother and father. Her skin tone was green, she was sick at the thought of the Nano Empire doing something so disgusting, so vile, and utterly evil. Her mind was racing, filled with fear, dread, rage, disgust, a whole array of negative emotions just playing over and over in her mind.

Her voice was shaking as much as her body was," Don't... do- don't... let... them... do... it..." She sobbed against his chest as she went back to the image of her child growing up in such a dreadful way. All of it was making her sick and she pushed it away the best she could. A whimper fell from her lips and she gulped down the knot forming in her throat. She couldn't form words beyond that, just couldn't. All she seemed to be able to do was lay there trapped in that horror of realizing that if things went wrong... No, she couldn't even think like that at this moment. She wouldn't let herself do that.

"I'm going to stop there. You've seen enough for now......." He turned the hologrid off and held her close.. ".....it only gets worse from there on in." He muttered. He played back the images that he saw firsthand on the battlefield in the Nano Wars. The things he saw always made him throw up afterwards.. he couldn't remember a time he could stomach anything he ate.. or a night he didn't have nightmares. Even being what he was now, he knew that facing such a foe again would still leave the usual effects once more. the thought of what they were expected to face soon or later had left a scar in his mind. "....Sarah.."

He managed to say her name.. "I won't let it happen to you.. That is why I am the evil of the two.." He was referring to him and his brother Ash. The man of light and love? and himself, the dark child who saw humor in the death of innocents. Destruction and Chaos was his tools, and he made beautiful art of out of those tools. It would be these darker times that he would use those tools once again even though he struggled to live a life of peace and love with Sarah, just as Ash and Aya had before them. "That is why I always left you in the safety of the Family when I went away on such wars...." He sighed, feeling a weight on his chest, not from the wound.. but from the pain he felt if anything were to happen to her.. "..I didn't want to see you hurt or worse..... become one of them."

He remembered his darkest day when he infiltrated the Nano Empire; finding himself in its centre. Watching the Eve mother produce baby Arch Cores on after another; seeing them ooze to life and scream in pain. He could remember when they discovered him in that centre; and how they tried to consume him. Try to turn him over, but his evil was at its highest; when he snickered as they scratch and bit at his flesh. The look of fear on their faces as he scratched back and began to chew at their flesh; to show he was the monster under the bed and in the closet. He remembered hearing them all scream in fear and run away as he overloaded his core; letting himself turn into a "Arch Core of the Light"

He didn't remember what happened after that except waking up in the Capital planet of Corium in intensive care. "Sarah. I won't be defeated.. I have to live for you and our future family.." He smiled to her as he clutched her closer.. "... I want to have beautiful children with you.. and live a happy, joyful life full of peace.. in a universe where we don't have to worry about watching the shadows.. because there will be none." He smiled and kissed her forehead.. "I admit the journey will be tough.. but destroying the Brotherhood would be our first step to creating a universe safe for our children."

Sarah would even now listen, but her form didn't relax. She knew he was strong, that he could handle anything that came his way now that he had something so much more important to live for. Her eyes were still dripping with tears even as he kissed her forehead. She was constantly swallowing that knot in her throat. Hyperventilating she sucked in ragged breath after ragged breath. As long as he was by her side she had nothing to fear, and he had been right. She was always safe in his arms, at his side. If she needed him he was there watching after her and reminding her that anything was possible.

Her head lifted up and she tried to ease herself. Her fingers were coiling and tightening around her dress, her nails digging into its fabric as she tried to think of the positive things. She thought of what it would be like without the Nano Empire, what it would be like to watch their children grow up, to always be at his side through the good and the bad. She could picture their family bringing so much light and life. She wanted that more than anything at that moment. Again her head came to rest in the crook of his neck, she was rasping for breath as she calmed, eased her mind with the better light of things. She moved her hands from her dress and wrapped her arms around his figure.

Her words not shaking, just filled with the emotions that had grown within and gripped a hold of her until that moment," I want so badly... So badly for our children to be safe Dust. I want you to be with me to grow older with me through the ages. I want our children to be able to live a happy and know the love we can give them. I'll do whatever it takes, whatever it takes Dust. I won't let anything happened to you or our future. Never." She was growing calmer, but even then her body had continued to tremble. Her breathing was getting lighter, yet she was clutching him so tightly he could possibly be finding it hard to breathe.

"Then I will do the same thing that Ash did for Aya. I will give you my heart." With a smile he lay back on the bed and took in a deep breath, then exhaled as he felt his core shift in his alloyed frame. slowly the muscles shifted made room as the core began to move to the surface. The skin seared away into a fine circle to reveal the core, his core.. rise above his body... It was a perfectly shaped sphere... not silver like Ash's, Syn's, or any of the other family members.... but a dark ebony color. It slowly spun like a plenty in orbit twisting on it's axis. He looked at it and smirked.. "Funny it being black." Was he questioning why it was black or did he already know why it was black.

He knew Sarah's was a nice gold and silver.. like Christmas.. it was beautiful.. he knew this cause he saw it that night in the tank with her. He touched the core and felt it pulse then send out a trembling ripple through out the ship and into space. He smiled as a small pearl sized piece dethatched itself from the rest of the core and floated above his body.. like a moon orbiting a planet.. Only the original and larger core smoothed out and became a sphere once more... sinking back down into his chest..

The muscles and skin moving back into place revealing no scars or pain. The pearl sized core floated still. He put both hand in the air like an invisible string held it between his two hands.. A silver chain came looping through it and those sunburst eyes of his met her cooper hues.."Like Ash did for Aya.. I give you my heart." He smiled and put the necklace around her neck letting the chain intertwine and watched as it dangled there just below her collar bones.

Her eyes focused on him, watching as that pearl orb form from his core. She was biting his lip as she thought of what to say or do. She watched for a long while as he formed the necklace and placed it around her neck. Her eyes filling with soft tears, not like the ones before. She moved one hand to the core at the end and caressed it tenderly. Her head looking down at it and her whisper coming," Did Aya give hers in return?" She asked as she lay there.

She was holding him close to her still, slightly shaking a bit, even at that moment. More and more she thought about it. If he had given her his heart, she should do the same. It was her heart to give and by all rights it belongs to the man next to her. This token, this sign of his love for her was something she'd never go without. She'd keep it safe, keep it with her at all times to show that even when he wasn't at her side he was always with her. She kissed at his shoulder and settled back next to him. Her head rested upon his shoulder, her arm over his torso.

".....no.. instead she made the flower. To heal, protect, and create life.. Ash always had a flower on him. And If I remember correctly it was the original flower she made for him." But my heart is different from Ash's. The core in my chest and the core on that necklace are synced to one another. Everything I learn and experience is also recorded into that core as well; including my consciousness/soul. If anything happened to me where I can't be recovered; it can always be re-growing, like bringing me back to life through the flower."

He smiled to her knowing in some sense, a lot of people would believe that it wouldn't be the same person; it would be, it's a piece of the same core he had in his chest, not some cheap copy. He snickered and rolled over, giving her a kiss on her soft gentle lips. "I love you darling." At that moment the ship had cruised well beyond the Rhy'Din solar system and now had clearance to jump into hyperspace; like they hadn't even noticed, the ship cruised on into to hyper drive and off they went. They would be spending 2 hours in hyper space before falling back into cruising speeds; where they came out at on the other end only Dust and his trusty IDAU knew.

Sarah smiled to him. Taking in the information and making sure each bit of it was locked away. She'd remember that, she would. Her lips met his as he rolled over. Now she giggled, finally at peace. She'd have to do something for him, something that he could always keep. Her fingers went to the bandage on his chest and she sighed happily," I love you too Dust. So very much."

She kissed his lips again and nestled against him. Her mind was at rest for now as she sucked in his warmth with delight. He had his ways with her, always knowing what to say or do to get her to feel at ease. Her fingers were fumbling at his shoulder and she mumbled," I tore up my dress..." Sure enough as she looked down the fabric was frayed and holes were at the gut. She didn't think she had gripped it that much. She snickered and shrugged, muttering softly," Guess I don't know what I'm fully able to do just yet."

As happy as he was at the moment. Being Emperor, being a much more powerful and connected Celestial Core than Sarah; he could feel everything in the universe and outside of it. Data streams were always pouring into his data core and rigorously being filtered through day in and day out. He could feel the cries for help on distant planet in other star systems; cries from innocents being ravaged by those monsters? Like they were all starring at him and Sarah, licking their lips and waiting for their meal to arrive. It sent a shiver down his spine but he literally had no worries.. they would have their meal soon enough, He snickered at the thought.

Breaking away from those quick thoughts he had from time to time, his eyes peered to Sarah's dress. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit before reaching down to her belly where the hole was, then looked into her eyes. "Well we can easily fix that, can't we." Giving that smile like he was going to magically thread the dress back together with his amazing ability's as a core............. instead he went the other way... He grinned and tore her dress completely off.. "whoops" he said in a sarcastic tone. He smiled and laughed under his breath as he tore the rest of her clothes off and then looked her over, appreciating the finer details of her goddess like body.

In his mind it was only fair.. He was stripped down to his red boxers with little designs all over it that was his face and him giving a thumbs up, smiling. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in close to his body. He was beginning to show that he was honestly an evil person.. even in the bedroom he was naughty person.. Snickering at the thought. "... I honestly thought I was fixing it.. I swear." Smiling the entire time.

Sarah's eyes bulged as she watched her dress get torn away with the blink of an eye. Then the rest of her clothes were gone... O.O She couldn't help it, as he reduced himself to just boxers she blinked. She lifted her finger and poked him right in the chest. Her grin growing as she scanned him up and down. As he pulled her close she brought the blankets up and around them with a snicker," Sure you were Dust. Sure you were... Brat." She snickered and kissed at his shoulder.

Nuzzling his shoulder and tracing her finger over his stomach and then back up. She took her time to memorize his new figure. She sighed lightly and rested her forehead on his chest. Her deep breaths came in and out and in and out. Time making her pause for a moment and think over her excitement and smiling," Just thinking about our future and a family gives me goose bumps."

He looked back to her as she covered the two of them up with those comfy blankets.. "So is it time for the lights to die down and we get some sleep... or is there something else going on?" He smiled to her with that devilish grin of his as he leaned his head up to hers and began kissing her lips.. coiling his tongue with hers; he continued to lie in the intimate moments a bit more than usually.

His fingers trickled up and down the side of her ribs.. not really tickling her but more so of a massage to ease her mind and relax her body, "I would love to have children now.. but I would rather wait till we're properly wed before we decide to conceive a child." Intimacy lined the edges of his tone but was mostly focused with a serious message within.

Her brow lifted and she turned her head as he massaged at her sides. Sarah bit her lip and rested her head on the pillow, still looking up at him and that grin. It was odd how he put those words of lights on or off, but before she could answer he said something else. Her curiosity was peeked and she sat up once more. Her eyes locked with his, orange hues dancing as she leaned forwards and kissed his lips tenderly.

She brushed her fingers over his face slowly, the tips circled around on his cheek and down over his jaw line. She trailed them down the side of his neck as she kissed his lips once more. His hair came to tangle between her fingers as she asked," And when will that be Love?" Her own intimate tone lacing her voice, but still keeping so serious as she pressed another soft kiss to his lips.

A soft smile came sneaking across his facial expressions. A raise of his brow and soon the focusing of his eyes came to hers with a sight of dedication. he felt that inner glow and yearning to be a loving husband, a caring father, and a great leader. "To be honest dear.. I am ready to commit to you and be properly married when we land." He looked and sounded serious. He didn't care when or where.. so long as it was soon.

He wanted their love to be definite and unquestioned. He wanted their love to be heard across the galaxy. Reaching the ears of even their enemy's.. that two Celestial Cores have been announced Emperor and Empress.. and that they were married, and expecting little ones to fill their lives with joy. It would be unheard of, yes. But with a new era, new unexpected events would arrive... such as their love for one another.

Sarah's face lit up as she saw that smile on his lips. She looked in his eyes as he spoke, her heart beat skipped and she sucked in a deep breath. It took a moment for her excitement to calm down and she whispered," Really? Really really?!" She almost squeaked with pleasure, but resolved to just kissing him again. Her smile on her lips growing brighter and brighter, her arms folded around his neck and she giggled. Sarah was unable to hold back her joy.

She was eager as much as he was to be a loving wife, to be at his side. To watch their children grow and to watch the empire grow. Her fingers were tangling in his hair and massaging at his scalp. She was trying not to break out in a snicker fit, containing her eagerness by taking deep breaths. She kept looking to his eyes and glowing brighter with joy. She would just be happy to know that she was no longer the Mistress of Dust Belarus, but his wife.

Not that anyone didn't question that it wasn't going to happen sooner or later, some were even asking her why it was taking them so long. Still she'd give the same answer as usual," It will happen when the time is right. Dust and I know we love each other and that's strong enough." She had to wonder even then why they looked at her like she was crazy.

Thoughts bounced back and force in his mind like ping pong.. The ball started off slow, but with every stroke of the paddle, the ball moved faster and faster till sooner or later someone would score a point. Over and over again thoughts had done this as he looked into her cooper orbs. The idea of seeing the two of them in front of the alter being pronounced husband and wife, scared the :shit: out of him.. yet at the same time it was that fearless driving force inside him known as love that would aid him, placing once foot after the other till he stood there with shaking knees, and trying to survive the sight of her beautifully decorated self do the same.. walking to that alter and waiting through the words of commitment.. It wasn?t just the ceremony in front of thousands of people that made it significant, but the true love that stood behind them, holding up those pillars and placing down the final foundation that would hold them together for all of time.

He couldn't help but allow that grin to creep across his lips once more, the thought of it all just pushed him and urged him like a voice inside his head that seemed to never back down or give him a break.. He felt his soul being pulled to hers like a planet orbiting around a sun.. that undeniable gravitational pull between the two of them.. It didn't matter who was the planet or who was the sun.. what was set in stone was that they had a force connection them to one another that would never die down or give up.

As Dust had given her a piece of his core.. even through death.. he would still be dragged across the universe to be reunited with her. Tat smile stuck to his face like crazy glue.. even when he tried to relax his lips so he could land a kiss on hers.. he still couldn't help but smile, which led to a kind of awkward kiss. He laughed and had an excuse.. "Sorry I couldn't help but smile. I am just overwhelmed with joy and I love you so much that I can't help but smile."

Sarah was glad she wasn't a mind reader, because if she knew what he was saying she would just about be as scared shitlessly as he was. It wasn't that she was afraid of the tying the knot with Dust and forever being his wife. It was the thousands of people, all of them staring at her or him or both of them. For now however she was in la la land, excited beyond compare as she lay there trying to calm down.

The smile on his lips, no matter how goofy it was, was still adorable. She kissed him back awkward or not it was his lips. She loved his lips. She loved the way he smiled or how he slept, finding that through the nights it was harder and harder to sleep without his legs tangled with hers and her form tight against his. She loved the mischievous glint in his copper hues and how he always seemed to be on the verge of doing something... oh so rotten, but knowing all to well that he'd get away with it and she'd find him even more so irresistible. She loved his grins, snickers, and laughs when he was either going through one of his darker moments or one of his happiest moments.

Either way his quirks were charming to her. All them made her smile even grin as the more time she spent with him proved that he was a VERY bad influence for "Innocent Little Sarah". Granted Sarah didn't think she had ever been innocent until the day she met Dust and he proved to her that she was innocent in her own way. He opened her eyes to a world she fell in love with instantly and almost just as fast as she did him.

She remembered the first time she saw a halogram, how she watched Dust walk through it and witness it shatter. She had thought he broke it, but when it reformed she was amazed. To see light projected in such a way was amazing; to see that it was useful was even more incredible. But there were still several things she had to get used to even now, but the one that gave her the most heart attacks, besides the bathroom (She could never get used to it), was the clothes box.

The first time she attempted to use it she ended up pressing the go button with her toe and praying that with all the noises it was making it wouldn't turn against her and eat her. She didn't even know how to work the thing in the first place either, nope, she had ended up in the strangest bit of clothes and ended up switching most of her mixtures that were failures with the ones that weren't so much. Sarah was after all born to an age where moving on ones feet or in a carriage was preferable, and here she was moving in a space ship about the galaxy. Every bit of it was awe striking and it made her new home highly incredible.

"so day dreamer.." He said in a teasing voice, "..what would you like to do?" They apparently were nearing their destination but was still far it all at the same time. He could think of a few things (not suitable for readers under the age of 18. j/k) But then again, there were all sorts of things once they reached planet side. the trip was moving along fairly quickly in this size of a ship. He new hos four legged friend at the controls would soon have them arrive out the other end of hyperspace.

"Or.. what would you like to do once we make land fall?" He didn't literally mean 'fall' but it was a widely used expression by pilots and the sorts for relating their landing. Just another on of those things. He looked to her once more, wrapping that blanket around them comfortably and cuddling up with her. His hands traveling about her body as he landed kissed upon her lips. Smiling in between, he noticed words weren't quite needed at the moment. But still had a few things to say," When we're married....... when do you want to have children? I know it's a big choice and a whole knew field of responsibility's.. I mean that means I can't be so risky or putting my life in as much danger as I would like to..." That went for her too.. "But, honestly.. I'm just curious."

He had managed to snap her out of trying to figure out just how it was the bathroom really worked. Her eyes turned to him and she smiled to his words and snickered all the same. For a moment or two her mind traveled along the same lines to those not so suitable things and back to reality. She turned to look around and stretched a bit even as he snuggled her close. Her head turned back to him as more questions came from his lips. She kissed him back and wrapped her arms loosely about his neck, just keeping him close as he was doing for her. Her smile was soft and gentle as she thought over each question in turn. Sarah had figured that with children came responsibilities, but she was sure when the time came for them to come into the world they'd be ready with the appropriate protective gear.

She nodded and agreed that they would have to be a little bit more safe, granted they should have been doing it what with becoming Emperor and Empress, there was already plenty of people depending on them. Yet, the thought of children with him was a thought she'd never say no to. She smirked and kissed his lips tenderly her arm reaching over him and shutting off the lights. A whisper came from her as she looked down to him, smiling and looking into his eyes," Hmm... how about we just take it one step at a time. Go from there, but as for now..." Again she grinned her figure leaning forwards and her lips meeting his as she snickered. The unsuitable thoughts were back and dancing through her head.

Chapter Three: The Arival to Corbin || The Sh'teth Have Hiteth the Fan....eth..

Tossing and Turning, his body finally sprung to life as he jumped out from his nightmarish slumber. The lights in the cabin shut up to lit up the entire room. He looked about as he took in long deep breaths. "..We're here." He said under his breath. Folding the covers off from him and sliding off from the bed. Stretching was followed by a yawn. Everything seemed quiet. The low hums of the engines seemed to calm his mind and put him at ease. The small bathroom on the ship had no shower, only the waste recycler.

He looked to it as if debating whether or not he needed to take a leak. Pushing himself from it he looked back over to the bed seeing Sarah still sleeping.. Smiling and covering her back up some. The ship had been orbiting around Corbin for some time now, The IDAU still at the controls as it arranged their landing permits and getting everything in order for maintenance and refueling.. a little something that would come out of Dust's deep pockets.

"What time is it?" He asked, the rooms lights changed from nice cool yellow glow to a aquatic blue and pulsed as the onboard AI spoke up.. 'The time is 213.47, Sir.' the color of the room changes back to that placid creamy yellow.

He winced at the time and looked over to the closet. The doors made of glass with silver lining handles. Walking over to them he pulled them open and looked at the two Core Cells.. One was for a male and another for a female. Reaching out to his he watched as the back peeled open like a book.. It's feet and leg hugged his as it slowly attached itself to his body. All the openings sealed shut except for the opening where his head fit through.

Its whiteness had a magnificent about it. Looking just like his own modified Tengu Cell only all white with some silver, stopping just below his jaw bone. the suit came on-line quickly and began to exchange his bodily fluids into the suit and then pump them back into him. Him and the suit were one now.

As he spun around on his heels to face his Sarah, that thick crimson red silk cloth sprouted from his shoulder blade and slowly glided down to the floor. "Wake up darling, we're here." He said in a smooth serious voice, it may have sounded like his evil bits were placing back together again. But he knew he was full of light..

Sarah drew in one breath after another. The slow rise and fall of her chest came as she nestled next to him. As he jumped up she stirred for but a moment. When he slid from the bed she shifted a bit more so to take up the bed in his absence. She sighed as covered him up a bit her form curling in a ball and disappearing beneath the blankets. The tips of her golden hair were poking out over the pillow as she drifted back into a deep slumber.

Knowing in her, own way that he was still within the room. His movements wouldn't go ignored even as the lighting changed in the room. It wasn't like she noticed after all. She couldn't see a thing from under the blankets. Her mind hadn't settled at all as they rested. It seemed determined to review each bit of information that he had showed her, even the grimmer features. Her figure shifted again and tangled in the blankets as he moved towards the Core Cells.

While he got dressed her eyes flickered open and she stared at the sheets. Her sunburst eyes gazed towards the sheets that covered her figure. Sucking in a deep breath she retraced her thoughts. They were lanky figures of grey flesh, with their eyes, ears, mouth, nose... pretty much everything sew shut... They were the Forsaken Cores born from Eve and devourers of their own kind and destroyers of planets within eighteen hours. They hopped from planet to planet, sometimes even ripping... Her mind jumped, avoided that fact for a moment.

His voice brought her from her thoughts right at the moment that she was getting to review what happened to the animals, women, men, and children. It was a good thing. His call brought back the other things discussed the night before; that they had been speaking about getting married as soon as they could on Corbin. She blinked,' Did he just say that they were there?'

Her figure jumped and the sheets were clung to her torso as she glanced towards him smiling softly," We're here?" The only thing that was left on her was the piece of his core that she'd never part with. Her eyes flickered about the room and she had rubbed her arm. There was a pause back towards Dust and she leaned back before flopping back.

Her mind suddenly racing over what else they had spoken of. Her legs were draping over the edge of the bed, one poking out with her toes wiggling," How long before we Land?" She asked as she rolled on her side, turning back to look at his form. She was glad to see such a handsome face so soon after waking.

He looked to her and smiled. "We'll be making fall very soon." His arm reached back grabbing her Core Cell and threw it to her, "Get dressed.." He smiled at the comment he made as he saw her Core Cell turn translucent and go right through the blanket and towards her body.. Like a ghost wrestling with a damsel in distress, the Core Cell very quickly found its limbs attached to her limbs, the translucent coloring had gone solid and back to it's regular white color.

He laughed knowing she hadn't expected that one to happen. "You look nice," cocking his head to the side he looked to her all nicely dress. He looked to the bed room door. then looked back to the bedroom around them.. "hmm.." He noticed something was different somehow, "Di'ogie, if all the permits are in order, begin to take us down immediately." He said aloud over his ComSat.

He then jumped onto the bed with Sarah, lining his body up where he was sleeping, his head resting on the pillow. Shooting a sideways glance to Sarah, Pulling her over onto him, and smiled.. giving that evil grin, "We may want to get off the bed." He suggested.

Sarah lay there in the coosh for a moment and nodded. Sarah listened to his words as she lay there and murmured," Soon." She heard him call out and turned her head in time to see.... NOTHING was flying towards her. It was translucent after all. She nodded and was about to sit up when she felt something gripping at her limbs. Her eyes bulged open widely. She squeaked out a few more times than needed as the Core Cell began the process of wrapping around her. It was only when it turned white that she relaxed a bit.

Her head fell back and she exhaled slowly. Her head turned to the side and she smiled as she heard his words," So do you love." She seemed to be watching him carefully because of his reactions to the room changes. As he vaulted into the bed she snickered. Her head tilting up to kiss at his chin slowly. When he made that grin she couldn?t help arched a brow and nodded," With that grin, who could refuse?" Snickering and sitting up slowly.

Her form turning slowly to look towards the door leading out of their room and back to him," Well come on then..." She nudged him for a moment before sitting up slowly. Stretching her form for a moment then coming to a stand as she exhaled. Her feet balanced her as she stood up and turn on her toes to offer a hand out to him and help him up.

Dust glanced to the door. Then back to her. "Not that way hunn." He leapt from the bed and stood up as he watched the room go from a normal still object to a series of movements. Like a carefully planned out dance, the walls of the room had faded to show a series of robotic arms strategically go about the room fixing the bed and cleaning up small messed like the torn clothes and dirty clothing.

Everything was quickly clean.. and just as the bed was moved into a compact storage place.. the walls faded back into view. the only bit of machinery left was a small mini bot rolling about the floor like a dog.. it's laughs sounded like a series of beeps and squeaks. Dust cleared his throat as to get the attention of the little playful bot.. It got up onto its feet and looked to him, turning around slowly and walking back towards the wall leaving behind a thin cloud of mist to deodorize the room.

Dust sniffed the air and smiled, "Lemon scent, my favorite." He smiled to Sarah and then chuckled. The room was now empty and looked abandoned. He looked back to the door and then to Sarah, "Yeah, not that way." His eyes glanced to the bathroom and smiled, "Care for a shower?" There was no shower. He stepped into the bathroom and looked to Sarah, motioning to her to follow.

Sarah had somewhat gotten used to the room coming to life, to the place going through automatic cleaning. She watched her green dress vanish along with his clothes. She turned to gaze at him for a moment when he cleared his throat. She watched the little bot move back to the wall and then took in the scent. She enjoyed that scent as well. She nodded lightly and turned her head slowly around the clean room.

It had been months since she recalled living at her old home, with her father lording over her. How he had several maids and other servants taking care of the house, but those were different. Still there was a point where machine and ungrateful humans differed. Sarah had been disrespected many times by maids and ignorant woman just trying to make a buck that she left the place.

Still her father had a major contribution to her leaving. They had not spoken until he came to find her. Back when Dust was at war with the very people who just tried to kill him hours ago. When he asked about the shower Sarah went stiff again. She dreaded that thing. She absolutely feared that room at the word "Shower". Watching him step in she gulped, slowly taking steps towards the door as if walking on thin ice.

Her head was the first to come into the bathroom; eyes running over it warily before one foot than the other entered. Her arm reached out for Dust and she quickly moved to his side. Her hand gripping at his arm as she spoke lightly," Just as long as it's a quick one..."

"HA!.. there is no shower." He smacked his hand onto a picture on the wall and instantly they fell through the floor and into a drone. Its systems and computers quickly lit up and filled the inside with light of all sorts of colors. Dust glanced to Sarah, "Counting now." His hand gripped a D-shaped lever in the ceiling of the drone, they stood together closely, and almost having to hold each other since the drone was made to fit one person.

Again it was made of glass. but no one could tell since they were still loaded into the drone bay, about to be shot out towards the planet. As the entire ship began to move out of orbit and begin its descent towards the planet he began to count along with Sarah. "ONE......... TWO...... THREE....." He shouted them out so she would concentrate on his voice and his voice only.

"FOUR........." He flashed a quick smirk.. ".....TEN" He pulled the handle and they were shot out of the under belly of the ship. The drone was speeding down towards the blue, green, and grey planet. From their prospective all that could be seen were large lines of lights, forming along the planet?s surface, Some made entire grids inside of large circles that kept spiraling around.

The planet was one giant city with very little bodies of water or greenery. Their drone burst through the upper atmosphere and quickly fell through the sky, hurling towards the planet. Orange eyes quickly scanned through screens and his fingers flipped through switched and punched down on sensory buttons.

He looked up to the ship, seeing it match the speeds of the drone and soon sped past them towards a docking port for ships just like his. He looked there, his eyes zooming and focusing to find a suitable landing area. "There." He flashed a look to Sarah. "You little devil you.. your enjoying this aren't you?" he said sarcastically.

Just when maybe, maybe, she was getting used to the fact that she would HAVE to live with the bathroom he had to go and pull that stunt. Sarah grunted, it was the only thing she could do as down they went. She was beginning to see a pattern in the tricks Dust Belarus liked to play on her. But this time she was prepared... She hoped. As he announced the coming countdown she arched a brow upwards and turned to look at the handle. As she had remembered her arm wrapped around his neck and she looked down, waiting for it to happen.

Quite expecting what had happened next. As he went from one to ten in five counts she drummed her fingers on his neck. She was ready at the beginning of one when she helped him count. She was concentrating on the floor and his voice all at once, brows narrowing in the process. Then it began! They were falling and her nails were digging at his Core Cell. She snickered and looked up, watching the lights blare past them and spark about behind them. Her grin was growing when she spotted the planet Corbin.

Her brows lifted and she leaned a bit forwards on his lap to get a better look. Seeing the lights of the cities and the span of those lights captivated her. It was amazing in it's own way. As they moved through the first layer she turned her head to look at him," Corbin is the Economic Center right?" She was trying to remember every bit that she could. But that mindset poofed when the ship they had just left past them. Her head turned to follow it towards its destination and the landing port. She was snickering again, yet it was still a curiosity on if it was for enjoyment or for fear.

She grinned to him as he spoke, his sarcasm only making her break into a snicker fit," Now all we need is for the pod to start cracking..." Her words were slightly humorous and also something that she'd never forget. How could she dream of forgetting her first life and death experience with the man sitting next to her?

Hesitant to pull down on the second handle, he over his shoulder down to the planet as his other hand stirred the glass flaps of the drone; edging them closer and closer to that landing site where the ship was about to land. Scooping out the area beginning to think it was safe. He took deep sigh of relief as he felt a sharpening shock wave. His head jolted to look in the direction of that shockwave, only to see his ship be destroyed before it even landed. He cleared his throat, seeing the debris fly in all sorts of directions and fall off the platform to the city?s lower limits.

"Damn it!" He shouted out. The blade of the dagger was still on the ship and he needed it if he was to find the brotherhood. He looked annoyed now, as he pulled the flaps out and let the pencil shaped drone shoot towards the surface. aiming it directly at the landing port where his ship was about to land. He could already see the dark hooded monks walking away as if their job was really done. One of them holding a large plasma propelled rocket stomper. He was pissed.

He should have honestly ignored the explosion and stirred the drone off to a safer place. but instead he did something stupid. "...Sarah. Meet me at the checkpoint." He pressed a button and let the drone split right down the center. One half was with Sarah inside, and the other half with Dust inside. the controls inside Sarah's drone were fairly simple; like riding a bike cycle. Mean while Dust sped the drone quicker and aimed it straight towards the one with the 'Stomper'. It looked like planned on crashing it straight into them.

The shockwave had shaken her. She clapped her hand over her mouth and bit back a scream when she realized just what was happening; moments before they had been on that ship. They had slept on that ship the night before. She was gritting her teeth, another attempt had been made, but this time it wasn't only on Dust it was them both. Her eyes reflected the plums of fire as they rolled and flared from the ship.

Debris flying everywhere had her at a loss. She could feel her body tensing up as Dust shouted. Her eyes also took in the Monks; they were not hard to miss. Stupid as that sounded. She was turning to look at Dust as he spoke. Her eyes went wide as he separated from her, she screamed," Dust!" Her core pulsed and she cursed. Her eyes turned to the controls and then her hands. It took her a moment to process them before she growled.

Disobey or obey? Common Sarah, damn it make up your mind?! She wanted to help Dust, but in the same sense she knew if she was there she would only be in the way. Hands were gripping at the controls and she screamed in frustration," GOD DAMN IT ALL!" For now she would listen to Dust as she sped the pod forwards, onwards towards the ron-de-vu point. It was another question if it was safe or not.

Her mind wasn't thinking clearly. She had to figure something out. Soon she was taking control of her own stupid choices. She didn't feel like that place would be safe. She would find someplace else, nearby that point and within eye shot. Sarah had to pull herself together. She did not believe what had just happened to them. How were they found so easily?! She had to ditch the pod as soon as possible, it was time for Sarah to go on to the same sort of survival mode she lived while on the run from her father.

Seconds didn't even pass by like he expected.. it was instant. His half of the drone crashed into the platform, pinning the monk with the stomper for only a moment before dragging his upper half of his body away from the lower half, his entrails leaving a nice little trail. As for the Drone it had shattered and exploded into a loud boom. Flaming debris scattered across the platform. His body was tossed through the glass, knocking over another monk with his body. His limp figure rolled and nearly slid right off the side of the platform.

Bringing his body up to all fours he held his head. Shaking the trauma away he slowly staggered to his feet and looked around, his vision was shaky and all he could hear was a loud high pitched ringing inside his head. He hadn't even noticed the monks running towards him or how many there were. As they came nearer and nearer, one had finally got up close and personal, grabbing one arm while another grabbed the other. They dragged him to the center of the platform as countless others came onto the platform to perform the execution.

Dust seemed out of it for a moment, His fogged vision had gone black for a moment longer, he fell limp. It took 6 monks struggling to pick him back up off the ground. He was literally a heavy piece of hardware. 'Dust, wake up.' He heard a voice echo inside his head.. He began to hear things from before that he was only coming to recall now, 'I love you Dust.' He struggled to shake his head of the voices, ' Son, this universe will be yours one day.. will you be a loving leader, or will you follow the path of Ximo.'

Dust was drifting in and out of hallucinations; he could see a younger Dust and Ash standing on either side of an old man talking to them both. He couldn't see the face though, no matter how hard he struggled to catch a glimpse. 'My two boys, you know one day the two of you will have to make a choice.. one will be the light of good and the other will be the darkness of evil. But don't let those choices define who you really are. One day you'll understand. Me and my brothers went through the same thing many years ago.'

Dust was beginning to come out of the illusions in his head and come back to the real world.. "Dad? ..DAD don't leave me." The voices fading from his head, 'Son, wake up. Wake up and smell the Dust.' Dust could see the monks raising a large black blade above his head getting ready to take it off. But he didn't pay attention to them; he could only see the image of his father walking away from him. "DAD DON'T LEAVE ME!" The monks laughed and chuckled at his plea. "....dad."

His voice sounded like there was a void within him, he felt like someone took a vital organ from his body and he couldn't breathe. He swallowed that lump in his throat as he felt the tears form at the corners of his eyes. He took a deep breath and quickly stood, his left arm shot out forward grabbing the neck of the man with the black blade. The three monks holding onto his left arm quickly lost their grip and were tossed to the side. His eyes had gone a deep orange, as he gritted his teeth almost like an evil smile of pain. His skin turning pale and brows sloping downward to form that evilly grim expression; the face of death it seemed best titled.

His hand squeezed until the monks face had gone red and his eyes bulged outward like a mole coming off from underground. Its jaw gone crooked and a quick and very slight move of pressure of his thumb and a pop could be heard extruding from the monks neck. He let go and spun himself back around to the other three monks. "..let go." It was a low dim tone filled with malevolent personality. They let go and ran off. But before they could break away, he reached his hand up into the air as if grabbing something. Then pulled it down violently, the platform above them came crashing down onto the men, seamlessly creating the first human pancakes with landing platforms. But it had blocked the only exit.

The three monks that were flung from his arm earlier looked about franticly for a quick and easy exit. One decided it would be better to leap to his death than to face this new face of Evil known as Dust. The other two separated one, trying to climb a utility latter and the other trying to pick up a metal rod to smack Dust in the back with. He took a deep sigh and felt the rod hit his back, almost instantly spinning around on his heals he chuckled. "Pitiful, you call yourselves assassins."

Taking the rod from the monk and tossing it to the side. He lifted the monk up off the ground by his robe, his arm stretching backwards and launching the man into the air traffic. It was like watching a pin ball machine; it was one ding after another. He was sure to rack up a lot of points if it really were all just a game. Seeing the other monk climb the utility latter and sighed once more.

Leaping up onto the latter and climbing up after him, but the monk got into an elevator lift, the doors slowly hissing behind him shut. Thinking quickly he grabbed hold of the monk?s foot and pulled him half way back through, One of his legs pinched right off from the closing doors. Like some sort of great beast Dust roared into the air above him as he saw the elevator shoot off.

The pod had landed about 4km from ron-de-vu. Sarah was scrutinizing the area carefully as she stepped out. Already she was weighing the possibilities. They had to know her appearance, somehow. It was possibly on log. Her hair was sliced and cut at as she stood there with that field knife left in the care package. Strands of gold fell to the floor of the pod and her Sunburst eyes danced about over the surrounding area. Among the care package was a hand gun and a good amount of MRE. It would only take her a moment to look over the map stored in the pod's data bank. She knew where to go and she knew what to do. Her head lifted and once more her paranoia was getting the better of her.

The first thing she would do would be to check the ron-de-vu point. She was sure, that if they knew where their ship was landing then they sure as hell would know about this as well. She stood up and looked back to the pod, her eyes focusing for a moment. She pictured nothing more than the pod turning to rubble, imagined it more or less before it became a reality. Her eyes narrowed and once more in her mind she was reviewing the map.

Now which rout would she take? Her head lifted, no, they would have someone watching from that point. Her mind moved over point A and point B. Debating on what she could do. Like a phone book she went over the stored listings until she found what she needed. The rest of the Care Pack and her were off making quick movements around alley ways empty streets until she came to what she was looking for. Sarah glanced to her left, right, behind her, and then up before she proceeded inwards.

The clothing store would be her first stop. Something told her a woman walking around with a white Core Cell was a bit obvious. After a heavy bribe of Imperial Credits, Sarah would step from that shop wearing black pants, boots, and a tunic under a hooded top. The hood was pulled over her hair and her eyes hidden behind glasses. She was also wearing gloves. Her pouch containing goggles, Aya, and other prized possessions was safe at her side. Now that she was ready she turned from her detour and moved onwards.

Her mind was racing back to Dust. She had to stay safe, for him and his sanity, what was left of it at this point. She was frustrated that he had left her, but she understood somewhat of what he was doing. As she approached the safe house she got a bit more cautious. She was always checking over her shoulder and to the sky as well as the roof tops. It was only when she was coming within .5km of the ron-de-vu point that she had seen them.

The same monks were moving in quick retreat from a building within eye sight. Her figure paused and she slid within the shadows, for now calling them home as she watch the monks move and turn down a corner a few meters before her. She didn't know if they could sense her, they probably too worried about their own lives to think about who was watching them. They figured it would have been a job well done, but they were only caught red handed. She had to think of what to do next.

They had possibly rigged an explosive to go off on a trigger, perhaps when they opened the door or window; even stepped into the bathroom or bed room. She wasn't that stupid. Again she had to imagine it, a cleaning drone coming to life within the ron-de-vu point. Moving from corner to corner until it entered the bed room, still spritzing lemon scent throughout the apartment.

Like a dance of flames the windows shattered out as a shockwave expanded outwards from that building to the streets below. Debris was falling again, raining down on people as they passed by on foot or in their vehicles. Her fingers rolled into tight fists and she narrowed her eyes towards the direction of the Monks, for now. She'd let them get away. Let them relax in thinking they had done a job well done. Truth be told they were lucky on so many levels that Sarah wasn't inside that building, that Sarah was feeling generous in letting them go.

Dust would not have been so kind, he proved that on the landing pad. Again the pack was secured over her shoulder firmly and she turned to move down the alley way she had presently been keeping hidden in. Now here was the fun part. The only meeting point Dust and her had established before she drifted to sleep was that place. She was not going to wait for the monks to come back looking over the buildings carcass to find Celestial Core remains. That was too risky; Sarah knew that in all her years running.

A man years and years older than her was sitting before a fire as she recalled one of her running days. He was telling her as he clung to its warmth," Yuh, yuh... gotta keep moving... gotta keep running... yuh... yuh... You can feel their eyes... always upon you... Always there staring down at you... I know who you are... I know why they want you." The man was right. She had left that man moments later. Moved on from the spot, but that would be the only time she would look back from her running. Days later the police had found that same old man dead at least what was left of him. The sign of her father's involvement was all over that man's death.

Again she recalled a few more interesting details of what that man said to her in his constant insanity driven rambling," If you stick to the obvious... if you do the predictable... they find you... Always they find you.. If you keep moving as they want... you'll never escape them..." She stopped in her tracks and turned towards where she had been going. Perhaps for now she'd try a different tactic. The balls of her feet picked up in pace, but there was no sound, nothing. Her copper eyes burned as she moved through the winding paths until she spotted them.

The monks were moving further and further away from the scene. Again she'd pause, let them get away from her a bit of the way. She'd mirror their moves, but not as much as they would believe she was following them. At times picking different streets to turn, and if losing them she'd wait, watch in a square as part of a waiting group wanting to cross at a street sign. Sarah kept at least a block and a half distance from her and the monks, following them further and further until, as fate would have it she saw them pause right where her part of the pod was.

They were even looking it over. Did they even know what they were looking at? Sarah didn't know how much chaos was going on at the Landing Pad, but things would eventually blow over and Sarah would be caught in the middle of something sticky. For now she would take lean at a cafe watching the investigating monks swoop from place to place in the neighboring area searching for her.

It was a good thing she was three blocks away at this point. Her fingers moving to light a cigarette, matches in hand. For now she would play the part as human. Knowing that her survival was the top priority and her mission the moment they had parted from the ship. Since her and Dust had split up.

He took deep heavy breaths; his lungs felt like they were on fire. He had noticed something odd. He leapt from the platform down a few floors, and kept frog hoping from one platform to another till he was away from the air traffic and out of sight. He was noticing an odd pattern. Going on but first he needed to find Sarah and her pod. Finally a few more plat form leaps down to the street levels.

Steam carried itself from pipes and man holes in the streets. Every building had massive holo-screen hovering inches from the windows. Advertisements, stock market, the news; the planet was always alive doing something. Business men and women dress in suits walked the streets and sidewalks going to their next meeting or commuting to office buildings. Large bank building towered into the skies. Hell, most of the building across the planet were constructed well above the clouds; places where only the rich and famous dwelled.

His white Core Cell was now stained with the red blood of his enemy's. Designed almost like the Crimson Guards field armor. He smirked at the thought and pushed it to the side. Data streams filtered in as he got a mental layout of his surroundings. the horrible bit about this planet was the massive amount of towering churches and temples. Monks, nuns, and priests from different orders walked along side another praying; most of them were also business men. But all of them were there to preach to the planet their religion and try to induct unworldly men and women to their cause.

Dust began to walk along the side walk, he felt in the open; naked in a sense. He filtered more, sorting through, organizing, storing, and deleting. It was a simple task done over and over again billions of times within every second. His hardware felt stressed and he still thought back on what had happened on the platform. It puzzled him; he could never remember his father. And yet, now those memories decided to subside and itch at his mind. It baffled him all too much; he thought it would be best to keep things to himself till he could remember more.

Feeling like a pawn or knight in a game of chest; he knew something bigger was going on here, something bigger than himself or anyone else. It was then, he felt it, a pulse followed by a ripple.. "...Sarah?" It was odd. Before he couldn't feel her like this. And now, he felt like they were connected, But it was an on and off thing. Like blips on a radar screen, he knew where she was one moment, and then didn't the next. Was it the fact that he was changing or was it something else? He couldn't possibly ascend to a higher level, there was no higher level than a Celestial Core...... or was there?

He shook the thought from his head and continued to walk. Monks were at every corner, like guards they watched and made call ins to their command center, where ever that was. He had to get off the streets and quick. "Alright, Sarah where are you?" He asked himself, but as if he could hear the clicking of the trigger right next to him, his eyes shot up toward the sky. High above was a monk laying on a lift that cleaned windows?

The click was quick and sudden. "what the..?" the bullet hit supersonic speeds and pinned him in neck. Gurgles could be heard from his throat as he tried to mutter out a few words. He fell back against a brick wall feeling it crack and buckle beneath his weight and soon fall into a pile on the ground. Holding his hand up to his neck as blackness spewed out he heard the sniper pull the bolt back to eject the empty shell and place in another bullet. He used that time to his advantage and sprinted down the side walk. Taking a quick turn and booked down an alleyway.

He stumbled and fell into a pile of trash. Monks came trotting down the side walk and ran into the alleyway; guns out and blazing into the pile of trash. The body squirmed and jumped as each hot piece of metal dug deep into his flesh. When they all ran out of ammunition, they slowly stepped forward and looked down at body.

The voice box sizzled and cracked as it bleeped and riverbed over and over on itself. the chest opened up and a core shot straight up out of the chest cavity. the monks didn't notice the core move, it was like a flash, first it was there, and then it was gone. the body was lifeless, but made an odd noise; a click followed by a clank.

A few km's away there was a group of monks on a roof top sitting in a white tent. Inside were a dozen monks all manning computers and communicational systems the radio operator flipped through the channels until he heard a quick report. 'This is brother Ilttis. The body is dead. We got...' static followed.

A large boom shook some of the buildings; monks in the tent dropped what they were doing and rushed outside to look off into the distance. A large explosion had happened; smoke and fire formed into the air and looked like a mushroom cloud. The monk in command on the roof top yelled out 'what in Eve was that?' Other monks looked at each other when finally the radio operator spoke out, 'Brothers, that's where the body of the Demon was found.'

They stood among each other talking for short moments before the head monk spoke out, 'Brothers, the high priests mentioned that these Demons would go back to the hell they came from once we delivered them from this world.' He looked to the other monks and motioned them to go back to their stations. 'We have to find the women. She can't be too far from the crash site.' The monks all went back into the tent and began manning their posts. Some were on comm-links and sending out orders to gather more monks to track down the Demoness. Others just prayed until they were given a task. There was no pulse; no ripple.

Chapter Four: Trip and Fall into a Sliding Disaster

Well, well... What was this? Her brow arched up and her head tilted. The unit searching for Sarah had stopped. They were running past her in order to aid in killing a "Demon". Sarah leaned back and turned to look for stragglers. One was spotted. She left the cafe, moving around the corner and down a dark alley way. Her hood lowered and her figure moved to the shadows once again. She paused, her head pressing against the cold brick in deep thought. Her eyes closed and she brought a shaking hand towards her collar bone.

She gripped at the orb against her chest and gave a shaky exhale. She couldn't feel him anymore, she was horrified, just horrified, but she had to move on. This woman was starting to get aggravated. The straggler, she grinned; it was dark in comparison to the early days of Dust. Her voice came out in a low whisper," Don't you disappear on me yet Dust. Don't you leave me alone?"

She turned her eyes from left to right until she found the quickest route. She moved forwards slowly and soon was moving in step behind the one that got left behind. Her eyes were beyond orange, they were going red at this point. As an alley way got close she reached out. There was a snap, pop, crack, and silence from the figure she was now griping at mouth and shoulders. He was limp, breathless, gone with no way back.

She was pissed, determined to be kept up to date. Her fingers probed at his ear and she plucked it out a small ear piece. She examined it for a moment before she placed it snuggly in her ear. The body was carried like she was cradling him. She leaned him back against one of the buildings and for a moment or two acted like she actually cared for his well being. There was another succession of pops and cracks before out came a few teeth and one voice piece. She tilted her head and watched while it dropped to the ground by her boot.

She lifted her foot by her heel and brought it down over the bottom part, but she paused. Slowly she plucked up the piece and stowed it in her pocket, not sure of one piece was linked to the other. As she lifted up the hood was placed back over her head and she turned casually from the alley way. Keeping silent as this time she moved away from where she knew the monks would be heading. The alerts for them to seek her out close to the crash site were enough warning for her to get the hell out.

Sarah looked back up at the sky and then her eyes jerked open. She looked from left to right frantically until she spotted something, a man hole. She slid on her feet as she rushed to it, wrenching the thing open and sliding within. Seconds later it was closed off, and just in time. She ducked down as the explosion came. There was a series of quakes and some loose rubble was coming down around her. She paused for a moment, thinking of something. She could still carry the mouth piece, but that was the thing, how could she keep it from making noises.

An idea came to mind and she pulled it out. Dipping over she picked up a rock lying besides her foot. The rock dissolved and bubbled in her palm, forming a plate like disk for her to place the com on. Soon it was being incased in that rock until nothing but silence would come. Stowing the item back in her pocket she looked from left to right. A rat scurried over her foot, but she didn't care. She proceeded away from the crash site.

She was thinking of what to do first now that, from the looks of it, she was separated from Dust for a bit longer. She would have to find more of a baring, but not now. For now the water was running to the west, so west she would go. There had to be an outlet eventually, so she'd stick to underground. She kept her ear open, listening to the waves of panic coming from over that com. All of them orders for them to scour the city, to find her before she got into Imperial care. They not once suspected that the Empress would be so bold to travel in the sewers; that she'd be as brave as to walk in rat infested filth, a pungent smell rising around her to seep to the world above.

Perhaps it was a good thing that she didn't talk about her past; that she didn't speak of what happened before the Empire to anyone but Dust. Sarah paused for a moment, her mind going from the city's view when they were together in the pod; before all hell broke loose. There was water, somewhere, there was water. This place was all a city, perhaps if she kept going for days, if she needed, she would be far enough away.

No, she wouldn't be able to do that; they would be constantly hunting her; constantly seeking for her until she was dead. Still her figure moved without a sound over filth, rat, and mouse to any destination other than her own. Keeping as hidden as possible and walking quite literally right under their nose.

'Brothers, We have truly been blessed...' All the other monks in the white tent looked to the monk in charge. He continued, '..it has been confirmed. The Demon has been killed. hunt down the Demoness and kill her. Only then can we put this dark day behind us.' The Radio operator looked to the head monk, 'Brother, we just got permission to close off this section of the city to the public.' He smiled. By now all of the civilians of the area have left the area. All that remained were the monks and the Demoness for now.

Monks scattered across the streets and rooftops. Every building and alley way was searched by hundreds of monks. A group of monks had tried to serve as damage control where the large explosion had taken place, fire spurred up the side of the building and water piped poured into the streets. One monk watched the water travel the length of the street until it reached a drain. He looked at the drain and put two and two together. Getting on his radio, 'Have we anyone seeking out the Demoness below ground, brothers?'

More monks filled the street like it was some sort of monkish festival. they were everywhere; there wasn't an area that didn't have a monk. A person could look under a rock and sure enough a monk would wave back. Monks began to take crowbars and rip open every man hole. Taking lights down with them as numerous amounts of the brotherhood began to tare that section of the city apart, above ground and below. Much of the monks used suppression and frag grenades in the sewers to cook the rats out and hopefully the Demoness.

What was going on exactly wasn't clear. what had happened to Dust? He was declared dead by the investigators. The site where his body was found had monks picking up chunks and pieces of what was left to his body, many of them formed a circle, on their knees, eyes closed, in prayer. they were trying to cure the area of any bad omens or demonic portals.

Sarah knitted her brows together while she listened to what was said. Her teeth were grinding, gritting while she heard the news on Dust. Even more so was the question of where the hell was Dust? It was not like the man to do anything but be fashionably late. This was a little bit late.

Her pace moved slowly, cautiously while she listened. There was a moment where she froze. It was when the words under and ground were put into a sentence to ask of her location," Well shit." Sarah knew they had the topside covered. And she was trying to stay hidden. Okay, so what next. She was processing her train of thought; thinking over options in order to find the best result. She only knew of one.

RUN.

There she was cursing up a storm in her wake as opening after opening was made by the monks behind her and besides her at each turn and corridor. She was in her own self made hell by choosing the sewers as her safe haven. She could have chosen the sky, but that wasn't the wisest idea at the moment.

Her figure darted forwards and suddenly skidded to a halt. Fire was rolling and hurdling behind her. She was caught at a break in the sewers. The water was falling, pouring down like a waterfall of feces? and carcasses of rats and other animals that came to this place to die. She could either dive or jump, both making her hope that she would survive. However, by knowing that she had made it to a spot, a break in districts, she guessed, for the city she knew her only way out was to cross that line, they weren't searching anywhere else. She gathered that much from their communications.

Plucking the ear piece from her ear swiftly along with the rock ball in her pocket she stowed them in her pack with Imperial Credits and MRE. She exhaled, secured the pack and suddenly found the bathrooms of the Empire welcoming. One foot moved for the edge and then the other. Down she went with the waterfall to the path below and leading out. She was swimming in such a stench that she almost added her own concoction to the mix. It was amazing that she could hold anything down.

Holding her head above water one hand shot to her necklace as her glasses flew from her face. She was turning and looping. Spiraling and dropping as she went on the most unexciting ride of her life. If it had an opening she didn't see it coming soon. All she could do at this point was try to live through the ride without losing her stomach," Ohhh.... Shit!"

There was another drop coming, another waterfall for her to enjoy. Her eyes went wide and then snapped shut. She was going down, down, and more down until she was back to that wonderfully grotesque ride. It was a good thing her new clothes were cheap. She was sure that somewhere up top the Brother Hood was beginning to get a bit flustered. That thought alone could make her grin in such a situation.

Near the exit of the pipe line exiting the closed off area of the city stood a group of 6 monks in robes, their hoods up, concealing their faces. They silently waited.. Knowing this was the only exit from the sewers. Each of them carried long pikes and single shot firearms. they were well prepared and waited for the Demoness to come to them to end this day of darkness once and for all. the rest of the closed off city was still being searched through from top to bottom, making sure they didn't miss a single crack.

Water rushed out of the open pipe line and fell into a cement canal that ran into the body of water. the top of the canal had large industrial screens over top of it so maintenance workers could walk over top of the canal. If anyone would be coming out from that pipe work it would land on that large metal screen and not fall into the canal and drift into the sea. The monks stood there on the screen, their hands folded with each other all monk like, like statues they didn't move and only looked forward into the darkness of the open pipe, waiting for anything to come out; four monks stood in the front of the group in a straight line with two monks standing behind this line. They seemed ready and eager to kill. the ones holding the long pikes had white knuckles from gripping them too tightly, being on edge, not wanting to lose their lives and at the same time knowing that if they died they would ascend to a higher plan of existence they thought was heaven.

So there was light at the end of the tunnel. Her eyes took in the blinding light first and she winced. It was enough for the monks waiting to be missed," Ahhh..." Until it was too late. Her eyes shot wide and she cursed in a spew of pretty words. The water doing its final picking up as it surged closer and closer toward the end, towards them. She couldn't do anything. Her hands were slick with the gooey sewage to keep her from gripping at anything that could help her.

She grunted and sucked in a few deep breaths. Sarah wasn't ready to go down. Her eyes grew wider and wider until WOOSH! She was thrown from the tube along with spurts of feces? and again dead animals. A rat landed near her and she was sure in a few spots she had already been fired at. If there was any hit points she hadn't felt them just yet.

Too much stuff was flying at her for her to notice. Her hand brought over her face just as monk after monk jumped at her. Showered her with a sparking assault from their individual weapons, or at least that's what she had expected. For now she was just... there looking up at them with an 'Oh shit' look on her face. Her hand lifted up and she gave a faint wave," Hiya boys." She was screwed.

One of the two monks in the back of the group quickly made his move before any of the other monks could react to seeing the Demoness plop down in front of them. they were sure that they had captured her and knew they had their prize.. Or did they, that monk in the back of the group kick the one in front of him forward, letting him fall to his knees with a O_O look on his face.

The hooded monk who seemed to attack grabbed another monk by the hand and pulled it up and behind his back, hearing the shoulder pop, and dislocate. the monk screamed in pain. Another twist of the wrist and the monk?s bones in his hands shattered. A boot came up to his back and kicked forward, this rebel monk watched as they were flung forward, landing on his face with a broken arm. The pike and side arm fell to the ground and spun.

This monk who rebelled from the order walk to the other monk that he originally kicked to the ground, grabbing him by the boot and pulling him back over to the pike, picking it up and slamming it down through the monks leg, pinning him to the ground so he can't crawl away. Bending over to pick up the sidearm and aiming it at the leg of the other monk who tried to slip away. Pulled the trigger and the knee cap was blown to bits. Noticing the gun only had one bullet in it he simply chucked it at the back of the monk and watched him fall to the ground in pain.

He stepped over to the monk with the pike pinned in his leg, picking his head up by the front of his face and like starting a lawn mower, pulled back quickly and then let the weight of the monks body do the rest..... pop, the spinal cord lining the neck split. Letting the monks body fall back down bashing the front of his face in. He walked over to the monk he threw the gun at. Trying to get up off the ground and looking to the rebel monk, 'what are you doing, brother?' Looking down he simply picked his head up away from the ground and spun it like a top, a series of pops came astounding.... "Atonement.....brother!" He lifted the hood from his face to reveal it was dust disguised as a monk.

The other rebel monk dashed to the two monks in front of him hitting ones spine breaking it with his shin of his arm using his fist for the other monk Knocking him unconscious. The monk fell to the ground with a boot following, Crushing his skull and killing him.... The monk takes his hood off to reveal bright orange eyes, and a hair of flaming red. It was Jak Redstar, General of the Core Empires Military,? Dust... I have my forces sweeping into this corner of the galaxy to clear the remaining fleet and ground forces.?

'Captain, there's been a large explosion, grid 52; eighty kilometers north-northwest of our current position.' The Captain sat on the deck of the lightweight stealth cutter behind the tactical array, orange eyes rusted over with a cold, calculating geass.

He turned towards the pilot -and only accompanying personnel- before speaking. "Get us over there, ASAP. First we find the ship obliterated, now this, and still no sign of the Emperor or Empress. Bastards must've done SOMETHING to them.? The cutter sped along through the air near ground level. They had been avoiding any contact since they'd reached scanning distance of the planet and discovered the remains of a ship that had very likely been carrying the royalty,? And get us in-touch with the Imperial Authorities, for Aya's sake!? He whispered a quick oath under his breath, and began thundering out command prompts into the ship's system.

?Ten kilometers. Cursory sweeps indicate the entire grid's been sealed off from normal activity, and civilians.. I'm picking up traces of a Core body within the blast radius, as well as at least eight hundred uniformed personnel. Not ours, either. You don't think..?'

The Captain's eyes were half-lidded as he entered the final prompt into the system,? Circle us around the grid. And keep a low, low profile. I don't want to start a party if everyone's already gone home.?? The ship began to circle the edge of the grid. It was altogether likely that it would be passing over the trio within minutes. Or less.

Sarah was about to say something cheesy like," Take me to your leader." But then this had happened. That oh :shit: look... Yeah that was replaced by another one while she watched Monk fight Monk. Her mind looped and she had another question rushing through her mind. Weren't Monks suppose to be peaceful? At least that was the way her home planet worked. Well in some ways. Sarah could only grasp that someone has miscalculated.

The rebel monks were making her day, but the smell and constant splash of sewer coming down on her, wasn't. Her face was blank as she watched one agonizing move after another. She was half tempted to start running in all the confusion. For now the show seemed entertaining enough. When Dust lowered his hood she blinked, not expecting that. She figured it was some Crimson Guard, but not Dust. Her finger shot up and she plopped back.

Not sure if it was exaustion or just the fact that she was frankly, covered in... crap. She had one of those, kill me now, looks on her face as she mumbled to Dust," You are waaaaayyyy, waaaayyyyyy... too late for this to be some dashing hero entrance." Honestly, the only reason why was because she didn't look or feel like a damsel in distress. Well, she did have the distress part working for her. Again she spoke," So, glad we waited to shower." Sarcastic tone, but the agrivation on her face said otherwise.

He laughed as he took a sniff to the air, "You smell like shi't." He walked over to her and helped her up. Taking one of the robes from the other monks he tossed it to her. "Put this on, it helps to be stealthy in these parts." He looked from Sarah to Jak. Not knowing if they've already met before. then led the way; away from the poo power plant.

Walking up some steps to see the closed off city again. Shaking his head he felt that urge to scream into the air, but quite frankly it wouldn't help any. "Jak.." He said to his cousin. "I hope those monks didn't find out where you came from. He looked off into the distance to see the Redstar Fleet sitting in orbit. They were large black monoliths with a large single red star on every one of them. A frightening force if you were the enemy. He looked back to Sarah and Jak. "Jak It may be smart if you don't use your Core here. I would get back with your fleet and stay there till I can figure this out further."

Jak looked at Dust,? Yeah..i should start to get back to my fleet .? He would then rip off the Monk Robe and disappear into the wind.

Sarah was thinking about doing an unwanted gesture towards Dust for his comment, but that urge was bitten back as she was tossed a robe," Well hell... I killed one back in the city and I completely spaced that bit." She shrugged off the hoodie and stuffed it in her pack. Soon she was placing the ear peace, after cleaning out her ears and other openings that had gotten covered, in her ear so she could listen in on their Brotherhood friends.

The robe was put on and soon she was following, pack secure and her guard up. She tapped Jak's shoulder and pointed up," We have friends other then Jak dear... They know that the guard is here." The sound of commands and orders being snapped in her ear was getting irritating. But all of them were going through at once. Destroy the Demon Followers and find the Demoness, make sure that she was destroyed. Great.

There were plenty of things she wanted to say to Dust, but she figured while she was in this mood she'd keep those words far away from her mouth. Sarah just needed a shower before they moved again, the smell was getting to her in the worst way," They dropped bombs in the sewer Dust, were rejoicing over and over that you were dead..." Okay so something crept out," I thought we were going to take it more carefully?" She was going way back to where Dust had gone after the monks at the landing pad.

The cutter blew past the pair, and made an abrupt roundabout maneuver a few hundred meters off to head back at a much less, obnoxious, speed,? Haha!? The Captain managed not to jump from his seat as the ship came to a halt very low above them, the only symbol upon the it being that of the Empire, and even then it was damn-near unnoticeable.

? Engaging landing struts, Captain.' The pilot spoke hurriedly as he pressed in upon the console before him, and the ship smoothly responded.

? Yes, yes. Make sure we hit down smoothly, and you'll have my dinner on your plate tonight.? The ship hissed as it touched down, hydraulics kicking it into a smooth landing. The minute hatch slid open to permit the Captain exit,? Your Highness'! We've little time, please hurry.? He jumped aside, still looking the part of the perfectly manicured officer in the most heated of moments.

Seeing the craft touch ground and the Captain walk down that ramp brought a smile to his face. He looked back to Sarah and regardless if she smelt like poo or like an Empress he threw his arm around her and pulled her in close. She was walking with her to meet the Captain half way to the craft. "I didn't expect to see you here so early. But none the less, I'm glad you could make it." He nodded to the captain, "Have you been briefed on the situation?" He asked.

He had to speak a little bit louder to allow his voice to carry over the vapor noise of the cutter. But didn't have to shout. feeling the city planets data stream filter through his body he felt the presence of something evil there within the city. Despite the current situation with the brotherhood hiding in the shadows of every building on this planet, waiting to strike.. there was still something there, resting; it was a feeling he knew all too well.

With the amount Imperial Cores within the Redstar Militarty force orbiting the planet and the three standing there; and the ones within the Corbin family, it was too much attention drawn to them for something not to happen. He looked to his soon to be wife and then looked to the Captain, "We better haul ass." With that he tightened his arm around Sarah and walked with her onto the Cutter.

Sarah seemed to have maintained her negative look on her face. How could she not. She smelled terrible. Her arm wrapped around Dust, making sure that by the end of all this, by the time that she needed a shower, he needed one. It was also assurance that he wouldn't leave her side. Since they got on this planet she had only a few moments in the air that she was by his side. Now, she didn't want to leave his side any time soon.

Sarah let Dust speak to the Captain, her only concern was that she get to a shower, and soon. Her eyes were beginning to water with the stench, her face was turning green. She didn't know how much longer she could take smelling like this before her gut gave way on her. Just the thought made her hand lift to her lips as she groaned. The many times she had hidden from her Father, not once did she have to go as far as where she had just gone. Her hand turned to grip at Dust's robes while he began to move with her onto the Cutter. She shook her head and bit back the lurching for a bit longer, but it wouldn't work for long.

Thank Gods her hair was cut short in her need to hide her identity. She turned and before they had made it to the Cutter lurched, coughing up what was left in her stomach. It was one thing to be walking through the sewers, but to be covered like she was. She managed to whipe her lips and suck in a rasped breath," Dust, get me to a shower. Please..." Her face was flush because of how much the smell of herself, the feel of the coated goop covering her body, and just the taste of what was pushed out.

"I couldn't have said it better myself, Emperor." The Captain waited until the pair had entered, and then followed suit. A solid few moments of commands were entered into the pad beside the doorway. The hatch slid shut, and he looked up towards the retreating royal couple. One hand hit the comm, blaring his voice through to the pilot,? Hinken, stay away from the crew quarters for a while; we've got royal company.?

He turned up towards the pair again, and followed for a moment until the path began to branch,? This ship's been modified slightly. It has a single room of near-standard dimensions, and with several amenities that aren't usually on a cutter this small. Namely, a shower.? The Captain's smile was all business, though he was probably being honest,? Please, use it as you see fit.? He broke off to head for the cockpit, as the cutter began to lift, and speed into nothingness.

He looked to Sarah and threw Robe off her as they walked into the Royal Chambers. It was actually a good size for a room. He looked to her and could help but grin. "Even being all dirty up.. you still look wonderful to me darling." He led her into the bathroom, stripping himself of his robe, and Core Cell which looked new and somewhat tampered with; modified perhaps. He looked to her and began to take off her attire she must have picked up in a shop somewhere.

Looking to her and thinking about her in the shower, "Warm water." He said aloud as if thinking the shower would come to life and do as he said.. after a moment he raised a brow and slowly looked to the shower. A small half grin came to his face seeing that the shower was old world; a knob and a spout. Only thing new about it was it recycled and filtered the water so it could be reused countless time. He reached into the shower and twisted the knob and pulled. Warm water sprung out of the spout. He let her step in first.

Sarah blushed at Dust's complement and sighed. As she was moved to the bathroom and then removed of her clothes she sighed. Closing her eyes, she prepped herself for what was about to come. She was ready for the cleaning, for the brushes to scrub the grimy filth from her form. She was still sick from having vomited in front of none other than Dust, something she hadn't done before. She took a deep breath and flinched as the water selection was made. When nothing happened one eye popped open and she looked to Dust as he looked to... A Shower?

Sarah could have died and gone to heaven. It was like a chorus of angels was singing in her head. In fact she almost cried at the sight of such a wonderful thing. Seeing the water pour out of that spout was more than she could take. She was bouncing on her feet, eager to get in the actual shower. When he stepped aside she shot forwards and sucked in a deep breath," Ohhhh bless the designer of this shiiippp."

The warm water cascading down her form was wonderful. She lifted her head and started to smile brightly instantly. Each grimy amount of goo and muck slipping from her form was heavenly. Her hands washed over her face and her eyes, through her hair and ears. Each inch of her body would not go without being quadruple washed.

Dust stepped into the shower with her and began to shift his fingers through his hair like a comb, scrubbing and sanitizing his scalp, after all he needed to keep it shiny and flake free. He began to grab a bar of soup and tried to wash himself with it but it kept slipping out of his hands. With cat like reflexes he caught it and watched it pop out of his hands over and over again till he just let it fall to the floor and stepped on it to try and make it flat so it wouldn't slip around so much... instead it slipped off from under his foot and bounced off the tile a few time. "Damn thing pisses me off almost as much as I hate monks now."

He bent over and picked it off of the ground, holding it in the palm of his hand and tried to lather some up so he could use the lathering soup instead of the bar. By Aya it worked! He was on the road to cleanliness. Eventually being all cleaned up, he stood next to Sarah under the large spout and let the water pour onto the booth of them like summer rain. Being rinsed off and clean long before Sarah, he stepped out and grabbed a towel, letting himself get dried off, looking back to watch Sarah clean herself over and over again.

He sat over on the bed with the male and female Core Cell's, looking at their data grids and nano-neutrilium cell packets. It was like a very large computer, built on the nano level of machinery. His eyes zoomed and focus as he followed grid lines and tried to discover the path where the grid lines crossed. Only most of they went over, under, over, under... he was looking for the very few that went over, under, under, over, over, under, under.

It was those that regulated the suits main systems and allowed a Core to use their powers to their full extent without damaging the suit in any way. Those were the grid lines that would make a very huge significant if he were to alter them in any way. Which he planned on spending the remainder of their time spent on this planet, to modify every aspect of their Core Cells Uniforms.

Sarah would watch Dust and bite back a giggle. Her eyes followed the soap as it slipped from his hand to the floor. It wasn't until he said what he had that she snickered. Her copper eyes looked at him happily, so glad that he was alright. When he stepped out she once more continued to wash. Scrubbing and scrubbing to make sure that that horrible stench didn't stick to her form in the slightest. She didn't want to have to soak there either.

It was bringing back memories of that dreadful slide. She soon was stepping out of the shower, toweling her hair dry before wrapping it around her form. She had dried off a bit, but for now she wanted to just stay like this. She moved quickly as she could past the clothes on the bathroom floor, hoping that they wouldn't be there still gathering stench in the morning. Her head turned towards Dust who was lost in his own curious examination over the room. Her eyes were already drooping as she moved past him and onto the bed.

Flopping face down with a sigh and just laying there for a moment. Her head turned and she turned her eyes up to look at him. She was still hugging the towel close to her. For a moment she debated what she was going to say, but it came any ways," Dust, please don't leave me like that again... Please?" She was begging him. Her relief finally got the better of her as she sat up and moved over to him.

Wrapping her arms around his frame and buried her face in his shoulder she whispered," I knew you were doing something you felt you should have done, but I was so scared." She just stayed next to him. Not shaking or sobbing, no, she was considerably calm at that moment. Her fingers not gripping or clutching at him, she was just holding him. Half worried on what he would say to her words before she whispered," I never thought I'd have to go back to running like that. Always trying to stay one step ahead of what was coming. Not knowing if you had made it out or if what they were saying over the com was right. It all horrified me to think that I could have lost you and they wouldn't give up until they finished me off."

Shaking her head slowly she murmured," I want to get married Dust, as soon as possible... I want to find the leaders of that stupid priesthood and crush them until they're nothing but a distant memory. I'm not going to split off from you again like I did today. Please don't make me do so either."

He was concentrating on the small thread grids lining the inner armor of the Core Cells as she talked to him, using very small delicate tools like a surgeon he altered each thread a little bit.. shuffling the over, under sequence the way he had remembered doing so with his modified version of the Tengu Cell. Without looking away from his delicate process of work he talked back to Sarah, letting her know everything would be ok, also letting her know what he had encountered.. "...........I saw my father."

He steered another thread moving it from an over to an under. "A distant part of my past I couldn't remember before. I locked it deep down inside me for the last Septillion years....... I couldn't see his face, but I could hear him talking to me, I knew it was him." His voice was filled with calm. "...And more so.. I saw the images. Something bigger than us is at work here. What I don't know yet, but I have a pretty good idea it has to do with my father."

He moved to the next thread and started the same method all over again. After long moments of silence he was finished with her suit for now. The suit was now able to damper her Pulse and Ripple reading. She should be able to use her Core to an extent now with the dampening modifications he used on the suit. Later he would do it again and hopefully finish the entire suit so she could use her core as freely as they did the day they flew through the sky.

He had already modified his suit some with Dampening mods and a few stealth capability?s... after all. "I gave them their corpse, they think I'm dead now, but only because I have a black heart... I mean core." they would only come after her now thinking he was dead. It meant he could be by her side, but also being able to stick to the shadows. Making sure she was safe at all times. "My father told me something I haven't heard since I was only knee high. About me and my brothers 'choice'. About me smelling the dust."

"What does it mean?" Sarah couldn't help but show curiosity, even now that she was slightly relaxed. Her arms still held him the best she could. She was already showing more signs of growing weary. She held her head on his shoulder. Her fingers traced over his arm and shoulder. When she heard about him giving up a corpse she swallowed, so he had lost a body.

The feeling of being hunted wearing at her a bit and knowing that for a while it just wouldn't end as long as they thought her alive. Still she had a feeling that things were about to get worse, but she couldn't tell how fast. Her head turned to look over the cells he had modified and she studied hers for a moment. It was still that pearly white color even after all that she had gone through.

She was impressed, yet she still worried. Her eyes turned back towards him. Copper hues meeting copper hues. Her own a bit sunken as she sighed. Soon she lowered to a close as she resumed resting at his side. She would still listen to what he had to tell her. Her ears open, her eyes closed. She needed some kind of rest, but she wasn't quite ready for sleep just yet.

He laid the cores out on the floor next to his and then looked to her, laying back on the bed. "It means I'm going to be seeing more of these memories come back to remember something important in my past that I can't remember." He sighed for a moment. "I'm sure you saw me on the platform, what I did.. all those men.. killed.. no mercy at all."

He thought about these new memories from the past, remembering his father taking him to Mahikanah as a little boy. Letting him go up against the large Chaffers.. every time his father said 'wake up and smell the Dust!' He remembered changing into this creature of evil, wielding darkness. He didn't change physically from what he could remember; but every time he did, his core became darker, eventually becoming nothing but a black sphere of darkness. He was destined to become a Arch Core of the Light. As his father had once put it.

But now he was a Celestial Core who just turned into a Arch Core back on the platform. What did it mean.. did he really smell dust? Or was it just a metaphor for something deeper, he didn't know at the moment. Right now he needed some rest as the cutter traveled to the heart of the city planet to go pay a friendly visit to the group of Imperial Cores known as the Corbin Family.

He took a sigh and scooted up on the bed next to Sarah, "Let's get married once we arrive at the Citadel.... and perhaps I'll smell the dust again." He smiled to his soon to be wife; giving her a kiss and then rolling back over to relax some, answering any questions she might have had for him.

A nod came from her head and she sighed softly. Already getting to the point where she was half in and out of consciousness. Her blonde hair fell over her face and draped on his shoulder as he lay down with her besides him. He was her dream come true. He was her life. To lose him would be a nightmare that she didn't want to have to ever face. Holding him still she exhaled a slow sigh.

Remembering how she had managed to avoid behind found for so long. It had been a while since her basic skills had been used. She nuzzled his arm as she nestled close to him. Her fingers that had been caressing at his arm started going shoulder going limp. She gripped a hold of her consciousness to mummer," I killed one of them today... And I didn't feel sorry Dust. I wanted to see him dead. Wanted to see him gone just like I do the rest of them."

It was before she heard his final words. Her smile came and she turned to press a kiss to his cheek softly. Her fingers trailed down his side before she wrapped her arms over his torso," Sounds like a plan my love." A long sigh came that was dreamy and light," Perhaps I could help you... I most certainly will try to do my best." Her head lowered at his chest and she exhaled one last breath while she was awake.

Slowly her form went limp besides him as she slipped into her slumber. Not quite sure why she was so exhausted, but knowing none the less that she was tired. Hopefully in the morning she would be refreshed. She would be ready for what the day greeted her with, now that she was the soul target of the Brotherhood and protected by who they thought was now dead... her beloved Dust.

He rolled over, facing her, watching those beautiful cooper hues hide behind slumber. His smile quickly turned into a grim expression as he looked to her. He covered the two of them up with blankets to keep them warm. His head rested on the pillow next to her, his eyes still looked on to that gorgeous face of hers.

"..A demon is what they call me; my core is black as space. Makinah want to devour me. But like darkness I use evil as a foot hold. Now I ascend, wed, and lead.. before you realize twin are on the way, a dark prince and an angelic savior. The cycle continues......" He had remembered what his father had told him on the last day he saw him.

"You were right dad, like the Darkness, it can't survive without the light..." He was speaking of him and Sarah.. "..A man veiled in white, with a darkened heart. A women resembling Eve, with joy in her spirit. A universal known religion falls to their knees, beheaded. An Empire in Ruin and the Gear Works turn again....." But which empire would be in ruin... what gears would turn.

He thought of the original Eve machine from wince the Nano Empire was given birth from.. the machine of light and of good. It was a lost artifact that was on the one planet of the old empire that his father created. The one planet that moved by itself like a ghost.. it couldn't be found. The hints and puzzles were beginning to clear up.. But there was still much to understand and decipher. They had a long and rough journey in front of them indeed.

Chapter Five: The Wedding || The Flight From Corbin

He hadn't slept at all the entire trip in the cutter. Sunburst Orange eyes starred off into the ceiling of the royal chambers. The cutter glided through the air like silk in the wind. The Citadel was only a few kms away. The trip flew by quickly with his mind always having those gears turn. His hands were locked behind his head as he rested on the bed, Sarah by his side resting her gentle eyes till the trip was nearly over. The brotherhood had their corpse now, and they would pay dearly for the danger they had put his lover in. But with every ripple his core gave off when he used those powers, the brotherhood was alerted to their exact position.

Sarah had clung to him the entire time she was by his side. It took her some time to fall asleep, but when she did it wasn't a heavy sleep; she would sleep on high alert, just in case they had to move. It seemed her ears were poised to his movements. Each time he moved her arms would wrap tighter around him. She squeezed his form against her own and let her mind rest. Stay at ease until he had to wake her from her slumber. A content sigh would fall from her lips; finally glad to be ridded of that horrible stench and free from the underground world of the sewers. She was glad that she was safe and by his side once again. It was the only care on her mind.

He felt the cutter shake as they began to near aero-space territory owned by the Corbin Family. It was magnificent; his eyes loomed over to the window as he saw it there. The Citadel was huge, like a large spear pointing outward from the planet.. Blues, Oranges, and grays covered the exterior, the colors that let everyone know that they were apart of the Empire and this was their planet. Seemed the brotherhood didn't get the memo. A large holographic platform hovered around the spear shaped citadel like a halo; it was baby blue with reds and oranges. Just spinning around and around the tower, it looked as if its upper most point scratched the line that divided the earth from the heavens.

The cutter slowed to a cruise. The landing gear slowly extruding from the belly of the craft just in time for them to kiss the metallic platform in which they landed on. The platform was more like a large alloy table that came outward from the citadel tower. Senators, Guards, and of course family members of the Corbins waited at the platform entrance. Waiting to see a cousin of theirs that they haven't seen in well over 700 years; around the time of the 4th Nano War; sad times, and again, they were brought together because bad times. The Brotherhood, Dust could feel their cores pulse and ripple with excitement. He knew it wouldn't be long before the city below and around them would be overwhelmed with hooded idiots. He needed to make this meeting with the quick, and warn them while they still had a living chance.

It seemed as Dust had turned to look out the window Sarah had stirred. Her head remained still as he took in the Citadel. It wasn't that she didn't want to look at it, it was that something was nagging at her chest. She closed her eyes again, faking sleep until the time was right. Her arms tightened around him and for a moment it seemed as if she had drifted again.

Fear was gripping to her, holding onto her as she felt the tension in the air. The feeling of being watched came over her and she didn't care for it all that much. She buried her face in his chest and took in his scent. Trying for now to memorize everything she could about him. She didn't know when the next time would come that he would have to leave her side. It was tension at its best and she was trying not to let it grip a hold of her. Sarah had to stay strong for Dust.

Smooth, easy, it was an art the way the Captain of the Crimson Guard had landed the craft. Dust smiled. "Time to wake up darling. We've arrived." He raised his body up from his relaxation and looked to the door of the Royal Chambers. Snickering as the thought of using the door this time would ease Sarah's mind. It wouldn't a situation where they would need to separate again for a long time. But, just how long was that in Dust's mind? It was hard to gauge from a man who was the living definition of split second decisions and balancing out risk with safety.

He got up and looked to the Core Cells he had worked on hours before. Hoping they would do some sort of good, reaching his hand out for his and then thinking about not using his powers. He felt like he was reduced to a mere everyday joe. He scooted to the edge of the bed and grabbed the Core Cell and fitted it to his body like a blanket of air. The Cell ceiled shut over his frame as he laid back down next to Sarah. Placing a kiss to her forehead and nudging her a bit. "Looks like we're expected.. I always liked promptness."

Sarah finally felt the need to be roused by her beloved. Sighing she hugged him close before finally loosing her grip on him. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and whispered lightly," So glad we made it safely..." Again she would rub at her eyes and sit up a bit to watch him. She took in the Core Cells and nodded, knowing that they were for her safety. Sarah slowly leaned over his figure and gripped at hers. She brought it to her form so it could settle and wrap around her figure.

She managed to whisper to him after he spoke," Good. I like when things move quickly... especially when chaos seems to be the theme..." Her hand moved to her head and she scratched at it slightly. Her eyes finally opened up to look into his. Smiling softly to him, she turned to look out the window. She draped an arm around his torso, nuzzling his chest and squeezing him tightly. Her figure still close to his as she whispered," How long do you think we'll be safe here?"

"Not for long, that's for sure." He looked to the Door of the Chambers as he walked to it, opening it quickly, wanting to get off the Cutter before anything else unexpected happened. "I would hate to wait around to find out though." Looking out the door he saw the Captain rush off the cutter and onto the platform, giving Dust a quick salute on the way out. "Come along darling."

He walked out the door and waited on the loading cargo ramp for her. He could see some of his family members standing on the platform patiently for the two of them. He had only glanced at them for a moment before looking back through the chamber doors to Sarah. Not wanting to be separated again. "To be sure we don't foolishly use our powers to the extent of alert to the brotherhood.. I outfitted the Cells with regulators to keep use from using such high amounts of energy. I think it's safer that way."

She was moving out after him, brushing her hair to say the least. Sarah was trying to keep a good impression to Dust's family while biting her lip. Her eyes focused on him as she stopped and joined his side. Listening to his every word with a light nod and a whisper," I do hope nothing terrible happens. At least hope we have enough time for what we're here for."

Her hand moved to his arm and she squeezed at it softly. Hugging him close while she turned to look at the platform," Do you think that they'll like me?" The normal nervousness of Sarah was back as she turned to look back up to him. Biting her lip once more and nodding to his words," Just in case, keep core powers to a minimum unless it is direly important that I do so. Got it." A firm nod was given to him and she took a deep breath, calming herself," Ready."

Alright. He thought to himself as they both walked down the ramp together. The family, senators and others stood there with smiles on their faces. Seemed word hadn't reached them yet and they were completely unaware of what was going on and what was coming to get them all. It was the greatest evil of the likes that no one has seen in over 700 years.

'DUST! Cousin... It's been far too long! What made you want to come to Corbin on such short notice, you know you could have contacted us.' A woman spoke out to him in an array of excitement. She was tall and slender, wearing a women?s business suit, black in color with that matching mini skirt type style. Grey hair was pulled back in a braid; black rimmed glasses barely hugged at her the bridge of her nose, obviously for looks. Her Orange eyes looked to her brother, Sa'tith.

He also was excited and simply asked, "Why are you here Dust? You know you never payed me back that 7 mill of credits you used to modify your orbital racer..." A serious face played part there more than anything.

Dust smiled and looked to the two of them.. "Sa'tith.. you and your money. Don't worry I'll pay it back." He looked to his cousin Tori and smiled, "Well you never seem to age do you? Always looking beautiful as ever." Looking to the both of them now, a smile crawled across his face.. "I needed a change of scenery. You know me, never can stay in one place for too long." He looked to Sarah and smiled then jumped as if thoughts were attacking his brain like killer bees, "I'm sorry, where are my manners?" Looking around as if he really lost his manners, " This is Sarah, we came here to become married couples... as soon as possible."

Everyone lost their smiles and looked to Dust like he was kidding, he was never known to be the sort of guy to settle down and live the easy life. More like the kind of man in love with his ego trips and power hungry persona. "No.. seriously.. like before the end of the world.."

They still thought he was just kidding around until Tori noticed Sarah's Orange eyes, She yelled out at Dust in a playful manner 'In the name of Aya! What have you done Dust?' whispering with her hand in front of her mouth so Sarah wouldn't notice, 'you did you know what with a you know who and turned her into a you know what?' She held a proud smile on her face, remembering Dust always being the one to be the better of the family members, always being right, never getting into trouble, and finally Tori had something she could pick on him about.

"Yes, we did have sex... on numerous occasions.. And yes she is now a celestial core.. and yes I love her... and yes we want to get married, have children, settle down on a nice little planet and have a little dog or something...." He gave that blank stare to Tori and cracked a smile.

Sa'Tith shot a glance to Dust and smiled, 'Well, congratulations. Let's get you guys inside and married!" He looked to Sarah and smiled, sticking a hand out and bowing his head, 'It is an honor to meet you, I am Sa'Tith Corbin of the Three Houses of the Empire. But you probably already knew that.' Smiling and then looking to his sister, clearing his throat.

Tori looked to Sarah and gave a lady like bow, 'Truly a pleasure, I am Tori Corbin of... well you know..'

Sarah just reminded herself to stay close to Dust through all this. Her eyes were on each cousin in turn as they exchanged words with Dust. She noted the female and smiled, wondering if her hair would turn silver like that eventually, she so far had retained her golden strands, at least for now. When they spoke of the space racer she turned her head to look at Dust, making note that sometime he'd have to tell her this story. She blinked as she was introduced. Smiling softly and nodding to each in turn kindly.

As he announced that they were to be married as soon as possible she in a way was reminded of the hurry in the situation. But it was more of a startle when they didn't take Dust seriously. She wanted to ask, but for now she was being polite and not interrupting as Dust took the lead. When Tori spoke up about him doing you know what with her she blinked again and looked up to her beloved once again. Trying to make sense of all this before the introductions were made. She was still smiling to his words about children, a planet, and eventually a dog... or something.

She bowed her head and extended her hand to Sa'Tith while he spoke. As he mentioned that they were of the Corbin family she tried to make it seem like she knew what they were talking about. It seemed important to have at least the air of intelligence when dealing with the Corbins, though granted she was sure one slip would come and they'd have a field day eating her for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; or at least Dust. She swallowed and decided it would be best to speak on careful manners," Sarah Anne S... err... Belarus... Soon to be wife to Dust..." She gulped and prayed that she was doing this right. Her other hand was gripping at Dust's arm, trying not to grip him too hard with her nails.

Senators, Executive Business men and the two Corbins turned around casually and led Dust and Sarah into the Citadel. 'So tell me Dust-darling. What sort of trouble have you been getting yourself into lately? Are you still trying to rule the universe all by yourself? Is Syn still trying to be a ninja? How's Ash been doing?'

Dust interrupted Tori quickly and tried to speak out quickly knowing the Corbins loved to talk quick and didn't care for what others tried to say in a conversation so long as they managed to control the conversation, "Actually Tori, Ash is_____"

Like Corbins always did, they cut him off and took over the conversation, 'Come now sis, you know Dust, always a loner, trying to take on that Nano Empire all by himself. You know Dust, one day you?re going to find yourself in a situation you won't be able to find yourself out of. By the way, the rest of the family is going to be thrilled to see your back planet side.'

He shot out in front of the large group walking down the creamy colored hall and put a hand out in front of them letting them know to shut up and listen. "First off.......Yes, Tori, I am always getting myself into trouble, I like to get myself into risky situations so that it challenges me to be better than all the rest,so that when the time comes to face the Nano Empire, I will be ready... Second, I've become Emperor, and Sarah is my Empress. Syn is a ninja damn it! And Ash has been dead for nearly 4 months now, the Nano Empire has consumed most of the Core Worlds and there are only a hand full left untouched. That's why I'm here..... I Want to get married.. and the Priesthood is here too. They nearly cover the streets and are all making their way here. So if you wouldn't mind, cut the bull #$%^&* and the pleasantries and take me to your father. I have to speak with him." He didn't want to be an ass hole, but it seemed like the only way to get his words across and let them be informed of the current events.

Businessmen and Senators were speechless. Sa'Tith and Tori looked blankly at Dust knowing he spoke the truth. 'Well that would explain the Universal Depression that hit our markets.' Sa'Tith commented. Tori looked to Dust and Sarah and grabbed their hands, 'follow me, I'll take you straight to my father, he should be in the high chambers right now.

Sarah was silent as she moved along side Dust. When they asked about Ash her gut twisted in her stomach and she looked to Dust, even as she moved. She could tell that they weren't going to stop talking when he only got four words out. Sighing and letting him slip from her hands to counter the group. As he spoke there was a moment where Sarah smiled, but that was before Dust spoke of his brother.

She swallowed softly and lowered her head with a sigh. Not sure what to say or do to be of help and support for her beloved. When Tori took her hand she lifted her head up. Her mind raced about over the last few months with Dust. She sucked in a soft breath and turned to look as Dust while they moved onwards," I think Syn is a ninja too..."

She nodded lightly and smiled weakly to him. Her free hand moved to take his as she looked back to Tori and Sa'Tith, trying to think of a way to at least ease some tension. She wasn't sure how much more she could take. Her lips parted and she thought for a moment before speaking up," Other than the Depression has there been an increase of any stock throughout the Empire." Sarah wasn't sure what she was saying, but she hoped it would keep them from panicking before Dust got his words in with their father.

'Actually, we've had an increase in Arms Tech and exportation of grown meat goods.' Sa'Tith smiled to Sarah and could tell she was a good person, intelligent, and a perfect match for Dust.

They now walked quickly, upping the pace to get to the air lift that would take them to the high chambers room. Large golden blast door hissed open, revealing a red and gold interior that looked simply stunning, "I can see you've redecorated the place." Dust said as he stepped in along with the other three. He looked to Sarah and smiled, elevators seemed to be one of those romantic spots that always were interrupted by some odd event or people.

Tori looked to Sarah, 'I can feel your core pulse.. why?' She was curious, but was the absence of a pulse because of the suit or because of her ascension to a celestial core?

Dust looked to Tori and smiled, "Probably because of our suits."

Tori wasn't stupid or born yesterday, she eyed the suits and saw the Aya flowers on them, Dust's Signet ring and Sarah?s crown, he wasn't lying, they did become the rulers of the Empire. She was happy for them both, But she couldn't help noticing the model of Cell uniforms they wore... 'Core Cells?' She whispered to her brother.

Sa'Tith quickly gazed over the suits and looked back to his sister and whispered, 'Is it possible? Celestials?'

Dust looked from Sarah to Tori and Sa'Tith, "You know I'm standing right here, right?"

The two of them seemed to snap to attention almost and then slapped on a smile, 'Sorry, we were just curious about your uniforms. Did you notice you had gears on yours, Dust?' Tori pointed out the designs on his Cell; It looks like a series of gears over his chest, exactly designed over his core. Three of them, a large one, medium one, and a small one, all of their teeth fitting into one another to form a small simple gear like trinity.

He hadn't noticed it before, it was probably because it was white and blended in so well with the rest of his suit. He looked to Sarah to see she also had the same design in the same place. He snickered for a moment and thought about his father, "Wish you could see me now." He said under his breath.

As like clockwork the air lift reached the top of the citadel. A glass spherical room was there, the ball shaped room was placed on barring so it could rotate and spin freely. But how could it move freely if the tower was planted into the ground like a sword. It would take a lot of brute force and energy in order to move the citadel tower.

Sarah's jaw dropped at the all gold display. Her eyes were wide as she looked over it all with Sunburst hues. She turned back to look towards Dust. Her fingers laced with his, easier to keep a hold of him that way. She was drawing in a deep breath and processing all of it the best she could in such a short amount of time. When they moved onto the elevator her eyes moved to give off a flat look, could it be she was still peeved for that little interruption. Obviously.

She was snapped to when Tori spoke up about her Core Pulse. For a moment she had thought she had died, but she remembered what Dust had told her before they moved onto the platform. Nodding she was playing ping pong trying to take in everything they were saying. When she was looked over by Tori she just resolved to stand there silently like a statue until the ride was over. But that died fast as she looked to Dust's Core Cell.

The gears in full view made her step back and just admire his figure in its fullest. She had to remind herself that now was not the place to begin drooling, nor was it the time for her to be all stammers and stutters. Nope. She turned to look forwards again. Her mind racing as she rubbed a thumb over Dust's hand slowly.

She smiled to Dust's presence besides her. Glad she was taking these steps with him and excited all in the same. She squeezed his hand as the room came into view. She looked around and then up to Dust, waiting for him to take the lead whenever it was time to. She reminded him in that moment with another squeeze that she wasn't leaving his side for anything.

A glance of comfort was shot to Sarah as he held her hand, knowing that nothing should come between the two of them. A man floated at the center of the room, old, and gray. Long silver hair fell to the center of his back and a long grey beard came to the center of his chest. "You may pass!" The old man?s voice was thunderous and full of a loving sort of authority.

"Grand Master Corbin, It is an honor to see you again." Dust smiled up to the man, feeling that warm fuzziness inside like he just stepped into the presence of his father.

"I know why your here, Dust." The man said, "To be wedded yes... But I know you have changed, you feel different somehow but don't know why. You?ve been seeing visions of your forgotten past, yes. I would love to talk in cryptic riddles, but us Corbins are known to get straight to the point."

Dust held Sarah's hand and stepped forward looking to the man as he withdrawn cables and cords from his body that were linked to him, he was the power and the brain that kept the Citadel alive and powered up. The old man floated downwards to the floor and looked over Dust and Sarah. The Grand Master was in a white robe decorated in gear shaped designs and Aya flowers. "Now, Dust. I haven't seen you since you were no higher than my knee." The old man chuckled, "...And you must be Sarah. It truly is a grand pleasure to meet you young lady. Now... you both are serious about being married, yes?"

Dust shot another glance to Sarah and smiled.. "Yes, we do."

Swallowing Sarah made sure she nodded to his glance. Stepping alongside him and looking up to the man. She was in awe instantly with that presence. His thunderous call through the room almost made her quake, but she stood firm by Dust's side none the less. Seeing Dust smile she smiled softly, knowing that he was feeling some sort of happiness made her just as happy.

Her eyes turned back to the man as he spoke, her pulse skipping a beat as she heard him speak of her being wed to Dust. She listened and wondered over several things at once. Why was it they both felt so different to the others? She wasn't sure, but she knew sooner or later she would find out. As the man stepped forwards she squeezed Dust's hand and bit her lip. She was trying not to look nervous in such a fatherly figure to Dust.

She bowed her head and smiled when she was greeted. When he asked her eyes turned to Dust and then back to Grand Master Corbin with a dazzling, happy go lucky smile," Of course we do." She said after Dust, still holding his form close to her as she moved her free hand to rest against Dust's forearm. Swallowing lightly she turned her gaze back to Dust for a moment, still wearing that smile as her excitement grew.

"Then since you both agree, I will start the ceremony, it is quick and painless." He clapped his hands together and rubbed them together for a brief moment. The last time he had witnessed this was when Dust's father wedded Ash and Aya. He placed a hand on either of their foreheads and smiled greatly as he felt honored and proud of the two of them taking this next step into their timeless journey.

At ground Zero where the Citadel met the ground of the city, it was dark. Crowded more like it, the dark and ominous chants of monks could be heard aloud, synchronized with one another. They joined hands to form a human wall, slowly the chanting become louder and louder as they began to crowd around the outer walls that made up the citadel. Their chants shook the citadel until it felt like light tremors were shaking the whole thing apart.

The old man closed his eyes as he began to speak in the old tongues of the Imperial Cores, sounding like raspy sizzles of an old electronic bot that could not speak a solid word yet. But his words were clear; the chanting of his own words matched that of the monks outside in measurement of volume. Dust closed his eyes as he faced Sarah, both his hands locked in grip with hers.

Dust tried not to smile as he spoke the words aloud for everyone to hear, ?Timekurai Foirentsal, Biy Ridi? Sarah, I love you and always will till the end of time itself and beyond. My core is yours? dirguuf sidekuajhifusfiv.. Elz Mirkondof, Miikainkah Derz mikorai.. Core, Love, Aya, dihaald safavuhidikah saijn?. I Do!?

He could feel the golden floor leave his feet as the Grand Master, Sarah, and him-self began to float into the air and into the center of the spherical room. The lights died down and electricity sparked the walls, arches of lightening began to leap from one side of the room to the other in beautiful streams of blue, orange, and red.

The ground shook around the Citadel and began to cave in, monks falling into a hot pit of magma like liquid and dissolving into flames almost instantly. But still, all the monks continued to chant and hug at the metal tower trying to keep it from moving, or leaving the ground. Yet, it still moved, not falling to either side, but actually moving upwards into the sky at a snail?s pace.

The Redstar Fleet flew above in orbit, circling around to form a large flock of ships gliding about like a school of fish or vultures circling about waiting for its prey to die off. But they were doing something else, they were forming kinetic energy above the Citadel, like that halo hologram platform that spun around the tower, they too did the same. Electricity, fusion, and plasma began to form in streams of light from the outer most area of the fleet of circling ships was aimed and directed to the tip of the tower; now looking like the spokes on a bicycle wheel.

Cables and cords of all shapes and sizes came from the walls and plugged themselves in directly to the Grand Master. His life support was back online for the tower, his core charging and nearly going into an over drive like state. His hands still placed on the foreheads of Dust and Sarah as they held hands.

The Citadel still lifted and was nearing the height where they were clear of the monks, but like the brotherhood they were relentless, they hugged hard at the tower and the large crowds of dozens of hundreds of monks were lifted off the ground. From afar they looked like one giant body reaching out to grab hold of the spear and bring it crashing back down to the earth.

?Chaskkkkk__intlimintriantzzzzzzzzzzz? Baphintorip Elz biy dorijuf djsoaiiiiiiiii? Contristol Beckoi-tchunn biy Contristol Beckoi-tchunn biy mikorai Elz gerzzzzzzz_aiiiiiiii?. Dorimikianasijumalikai-ah, Biy, Ridi, Ridi, Ridi, Dust?? The Grand Master was now speaking to Sarah.

The beams of lightening, fusion, and plasma coming off from the ships as they circled became more concentrated and direct, becoming more powerful and full of energy. The sky was painted literally purple, orange, and a creamy pink. The Monks losing their grip of the tower as it climbed into the upper atmosphere. All the brown robed monks found themselves hundreds of meters in the air; falling with no chance of survival.

It was all happening at once. The monks were being liberated on the planet, the Citadel was apparently a large spear shaped ship. The Redstar Fleet was forming some sort of portal above the Citadel. Dust and Sarah were being wedded.

Their Core Cells peeled away from their chest and revealed their skin, muscle, and alloy frames shifting to reveal their cores. A blackened one laid in the chest of Dust; a gold and silver designed one laid in the chest of Sarah. Both of them sprouted outward like tree limbs to meet each other in the middle, forming, molding, sharing; until there was no core in either of their chests and just one Core floating between them; blackened, with silver and gold designs nicely decorating the entire sphere.

The three of them floated there in the center of the spherical room, forming a trinity between the three of them with a core floating in the middle. Still Electrical bolts were leaping from wall to wall, barely missing them. His voice boomed and became louder as it sounded like 10 of him were chanting all at once. The words were all there, all that was needed was those chants and words from Sarah lips.

Sarah was unaware of anything other than that moment. Feeling the fingers on her head she sucked in a breath, knowing at once what was to happen. She turned when Dust turned to face him, clasping hands with him and putting faith in the events to come. As the Grand Master spoke she swallowed, for good measure squeezing Dust's hands. Hearing those words, hearing those strange words she wasn't sure she could understand she closed her eyes tightly; her figure standing before Dust as he began to respond.

She wasn't sure what to do or say. And as they floated upwards she exhaled, relaxing almost instantly. She was taking this all rather well, considering other times where she had... not taken it so well. As her Core Cell slid from her figure and her core slid from her chest she squeezed at Dust's hand, feeling excitement growing to its peak.

They were waiting on her and she was nervous of not getting it right. When silence drew around her, her lips parted and she swallowed. Not, for once not holding back. Words formed from her lips as she hovered by Dust and the Grand Master's side," Timekurai Foirentsal, Biy Ridi? Dust, I love you and always will till the end of time itself and beyond. My core is yours? dirguuf sidekuajhifusfiv.. Elz Mirkondof, Miikainkah Derz mikorai.. Core, Love, Aya, dihaald safavuhidikah saijn?. I Do!"

In her mind she was praying she had said that right. She didn't want to screw this up, she wanted a life with Dust, always and forever. Her heart ached for this. Sarah wanted to share the rest of her eturnity with him, wanted to share her future and coming life with him. She wanted to walk step in step, have children, and be happy with Dust Belarus. More and more she was afraid, afraid that she had done that wrong. That before she even had the chance she was going to lose him.

She had said the words. The Grand Master smiled as he said the ending to his chants, ?Balamgazzzz_triniltikah.. tendrillllipifihjinah, paylioustus kentorum, bezkai.. Elz mor, Elz dur, Elz pheeylijurah. I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE! EMPEROR AND EMPRESS OF THE CORE EMPIRE FOR ALL TIME TO COME!?

At that moment he let his hands come off from their foreheads and allowed their bodies to float towards each other. The core in the middle of them as their bodies pressed up against each other, their opened chests forming one room with the one core sharing both of their bodies, Dust leaned towards her, his lips matching hers and locking for that final moment to seal the vows. Just as his lips touched hers, the core split down the middle, forming their own two individual cores and shooting in the opposite direction like an atom when it splits to create an atomic explosion.

A solid black one with silver lining hit the inner of his chest. His alloy frame, muscles, tissue, and Core Cell ceiled up and shot him back against the wall. While the exact same had happened to Sarah, tarring them apart for just a moment. Her Core was Gold with silver and black lining. Just as their cores disconnected from one another and they had given that final kiss everything went off like clockwork. The bottom of the Citadel lit up like an atomic explosion, filling the city with massive amounts of pressure, energy, heat, and black smoke. The Spear was shot upwards at a great amount of speed.

The Monks below were burned and vaporized in the blast and most of the city was in deep ruin, luckily the city was evacuated after the brotherhood had announced their uninvited visit. High Above in the heavens of orbit the ships of the Empires Red Star Fleet circled faster nearing that breaking point between zero gravitational sling shot and hyper warp.

The spokes they created of electricity, fusion, and plasma consumed the halo they created and opened up a unique portal made up of a inverted black hole, instead of things being sucked up into it, instead flung things outwards from its centre.
