Roadside Tour Day One
June 3rd -- Sometime in the afternoon
Rhydin Rockfest Night One
The camera clicks on, immediately showing Addie?s face upside down.
?Oops.? The camera turns over to upright the image. The band?s guitarist is decked out in all black, the sleeveless crop top proclaiming ?IT?S LIT? in white print. Her purple-black hair has been teased and sprayed into a fauxhawk, braided on the sides until the braids can tuck behind her ears. Heavy, dark makeup rings her eyes and eyeblack streaks her cheeks in warpaint fashion. She?s carrying the camera in her outstretched arms, the image bouncing slightly as she walks. Behind her, the panning of a white painted converted schoolbus soon gives way to the metal barricades and beyond them, rows upon rows of merch tents and booths being perused by concertgoers.
?So, like, this is Addie from TRASH and we?re here at Rhydin Rockfest, um, Day One. Which means it?s the very first day of the Roadside Tour with Shoe Slam and TRASH. Totally picked up this sweet camera at the pawn shop for, like, way cheap. Thought it might be fun to record some of the sh*t we get up to, you know? This,? the camera pans across the venue. A corner of Battlefield Park has been taken over by the music festival. Beyond the tents, two large stages can be seen looming over it all. The lefthand stage is blazing with light and sound, the swelling din of instruments sounds like noise from afar but the crowd loves it which has Addie grinning into the camera when she turns it back. ?This. Is. Rockfest. How f*cking cool right? If you?re in the city, there?s still tickets available for tomorrow and Sunday night?s shows. If you?re outside of the city, get your asses here to enjoy this! Today?s show is sold out but tomorrow and Sunday will rock just as hard, don?t worry.?
The camera zoomed in then immediately zoomed out. In the background someone with blue hair, presumably Michi, strolled by in a sports bra and shorts while eating a donut. Addie glanced over her shoulder then back at the camera, still grinning.
?Yeah, that?s all I?ve got right now. Come out to Rockfest. Get your fill of music, check out some Shoe Slam, party it up out here in Battlefield Park. TRASH goes on at? uh,? Addie looked over her shoulder, the camera jostling. When she shouts, it?s slightly muffled. ?Michi! What time do we go on??
?Seven ten!?
?Seven ten,? Addie repeats as she looks back to the camera. ?If you miss out, check back on the site for highlights later on. Until next time!?
She pulled the camera in and kissed right in front of the lens. As it was drawn back, it caught half of her smile before she managed to hit the button to stop recording.
