She had come to Rhy'din... wait... that wasn't exactly right. She had come back to Rhy'din after being away for six years. She had left Waterdeep in the hopes of finding employment in the larger city of Rhy'din, and she had spent a week there, pounding the pavement, without any luck at all. Most of the shop keepers laughed at her, saying she was too much of a little girl to be of much use.

Her last hope, and stop, was the RDI. By the time she got there, she was a little more than exhausted and just about out of hope. With such a diverse clientele, how would this petite red head fit in? She pushed the thought aside and went in anyway. If nothing else, perhaps they had better rooms than the one she had been staying in.

Upon entering what used to be her father's favorite watering hole, she noticed that not many things had changed. Sure, the faces were different, but wasn't that the way with these places? She had made her way to the bar and ordered a cola and asked to speak to a manager. Well the cola was brought, but the manager wasn't in. So she orders a room for the night and hopes to catch him the next morning.

While sitting at the bar, she meets a woman who becomes Rosie's dearest friend, Wyheree. She'd heard of people being able to bend the elements to their whim, but had never actuall seen it. She could watch her friend weave her magic for hours, ice crystals flying, tendrils thwapping. Her friend had a heart of gold and they hit it off right away. She told Wyheree about her job search and Wyheree pointed her in the driection of the Ravenlocks.

While discussing things with Wyheree that night, in walked the Choctaw. She had never seen such a magnificent looking man. He was pierced, sweaty, loud mouthed and a general mess. But she was drawn. Oh yes, she definitely wanted to know this man better.

Employment was taken care of. Brian and Charlotte Ravenlock hired her on as head housekeeper and co-manager of the Ravenlock boarding house and beer garden. She was extremely happy to have found employment. And when she found out that a certain Native American was in their employ also, well that was just gravy!

They had met up a few nights later, and sparks definitely began to fly between the two. Emboldened by a little bit of rum, that she willingly shared with him, she actually made the first move. She asked him to sit by her on the couch and share the rum. Next thing you know, she's practically in his lap and they are laughing.

From then on, they were nigh inseperable.

During long walks, or settng on the porch, they'd talk about everything. He had confessed to her about his sordid past. Everything from drug and alcohol addiction, to murder, to being a father. It seemed, at times, that he was trying to scare her off. But it didn't work.

She had a few skeletons in her closet as well and she had confessed them to him. One such secret was that she had a brother that was in an institution and would never be released. He had overdosed on heroin and barely escaped with his life. Her brother's brain, however, was Swiss cheese.

As the days passed the little red head and the Choctaw had gotten closer and closer. She was proud of her Kota man, as she affectionately called him.

Her friend, Wyheree had recently introduced her to Elven wine. But that story is for another time.
