I thought I would go into detail about some of the more unique things in Owen's possession, as well as the tattoos on his person.

This is as much for my benefit as for anyone reading.

Items:

Owen's Amulet: Made of iron and sporting most prominently, Solomon's secret seal, this talisman is inscribed on either side with a variety of runes and inscriptions from differing sources. It contains Latin, Gaelic, and Romanian script most prominently, but borrows many letters and markings from other written languages as well. They are arranged in a manner that, when translated, don't seem to mean anything whatsoever. It does, however, radiate a strong magical resonance that he has yet to unlock the secrets of.

Dimeritium Ring: This antique ring houses a small sliver of a rare metal called dimeritium, which is known for its ability to suppress magical energies. Owen wears it to steady the flow of his power, because the nature of magic in RhyDin is converse to the nature of magic back home.

Artificial Darkness: These small, black stones are a magically infused alchemic substance which, when thrown against a hard surface, explode to create a cloud of darkness to fill a twenty-by-twenty-foot space.

Owen's Cane: Owen's cane is fashioned of oak and sports an ornate silver handle. It hides a small silver blade, which he rarely makes use of. The cane is reserved for such social occasions that might warrant a fashion piece, and though it is well made, is unextraordinary.

Owen's Knife: The blade is steel treated with silver and approximately six inches in length. The handle is polished cherry. Like his cane, the knife is a striking piece, but has no special properties.

Tattoos:

For the sake of brevity, I will only describe the placement and descriptions of those whose powers are worth mention.

Protection from Scrying: It is from here that the rest of the tattoos are derived. It is a series of arcane scriptures joined and arranged in such a manner as to resemble a typographic crescent moon, and is placed roughly in the center of his left bicep. It wards off most attempts at divination, and is powered by a series of other runes that travel up and down his arm and over his left shoulder.

The Wellspring: The left pectoral is home to these markings, which serve as a sort of battery of will power. They, unlike the ward on his bicep, are of limited capability and once used, will fade. If this happens, Owen must replace the tattoos and imbue them with more power. Thus, he's yet to draw on the arcane powers stored there.

Mark of Binding: A series of bands that go across his right shoulder, the space between filled with runic language which binds him to one place in space and time. Meant to prevent him from being transported anywhere against his will.
