With the weather cooling, strolls in the Marketplace were ideal for stretching her legs and obtaining her exercise. Today was of no exception, only Storm walked with a casual smile on her face and walked with a specific goal.

Her visits to The Stitch varied and were inconsistent. It was a thought that did not pass with mild portions of guilt. Storm could not change her past visits, but her recent run ins rekindled a hope for a stronger friendship. Walking through street vendors, she chuckled quietly to herself at the thought of being on display for entertainment. It always seemed that the most outrageous events or thoughts involved the green-haired elf.

Reaching the familiar building, her casual smile turned into a grin at the memories of painting the first room. It made her proud, to see how quickly this business had grown within the few short years.

Walking into the small crowd that had already gathered in her early afternoon, Storm had already spotted Lydia speaking with someone else. Taking her time, she walked around the racks, trying to obtain ideas for her own purpose in her visit.

Often times, Lydia and Griffith clashed on color. Today was hardly an exception.

"I'm telling you, she'll look much better in cranberry than burgundy." Griffith proudly displayed the red blouse he carried, and held it out towards the elf. "It'll make her look more vibrant and less... droll."

The blouse Lydia held was identical in design and style, but the shade was ever so slightly different than Griffith's. "It's too bright, I think. And with her skin tone you don't want that. Burgundy would work better on her, Griffith." She held her own blouse out towards him, insistently almost.

"That's why the brightness would be a good compliment - because of her skin tone." Sighing and rolling his eyes, he still wouldn't accept Lydia's offered blouse. "You don't always has to put dark and light together. Dark things can look good together. Light things can look good together."

"I know that, but..." Lydia had been ready to argue her point with Griffith even more, but the sight of a familiar friend at the racks caught her eye. She grinned rather brightly almost instantly, before pawning her burgundy colored blouse off on the tailor. "You know what, you do whatever you like. It's fine." Griffith looked rather confused at Lydia's words, and the way she departed so suddenly, but he wouldn't argue anymore if she was simply going to let him do as he wished.

Moving around the racks, Lydia tried to intercept Storm's path. "Storm, hey!" With a grin, she moved in to try to hug the woman, approaching more from the side on account of Storm's growing belly. "I'm glad you made it out here." And she was rather glad she was actually working that day, given how many days she had been out of work as of late.

Seeing the dispute over colors that were nearly the same, Storm hid her grin behind a genuine smile. While a full hug was awkward, it did not take away the gesture from the side hug, "Good afternoon, Lydia." Casually glancing back to the man Lydia had been discussing with, she tried to move them away from racks to not stand in the way.

"I was wondering if you could still help me with the upcoming Harvest Festival?" Her smile turn lopsided, "It is usually customary to wear skirts or dresses in autumn colors, and I am afraid I have not built up my limited wardrobe for such an occasion."

It would be nice if Storm could feel attractive in her last few weeks of pregnancy. Ewan had never made her feel anything less than beautiful, but it was difficult to not notice the slight swelling of her fingers, or that she could not remember seeing her feet in some time. Idly fingering the chain of her necklace, she offered a slightly rueful smile.

"So, do you feel up for a challenge?"

Lydia turned to move right along with Storm, away from the racks. As they moved, Griffith tossed his ponytail over his shoulder and sent a friendly waggle of fingers to Storm, before he got back to work. He glanced to the two blouses he held, and eyed them both carefully. Maybe he forgot which was burgundy and which was cranberry...

Listening as Storm spoke, the elf grinned a little. "I don't think it'll be all that challenging, Storm." As they walked, she gestured over to the entrance of the other side of the store, 'the old flower shop', and tried to direct their walking that way - it's where maternity clothing was kept. "It's like.. art, I guess. And I have a very nice canvas to work with." Storm hadn't been nearly as emotional as some pregnant women she knew, but she figured it best to try to be more sensitive to her condition than she had been. At least a little bit.

"Autumn colors will look really nice on you, I think. Though.. I'd stay away from really.. bright colors. Bright oranges and yellows. You could probably pull off creamy colors though." Then she flashed her friend a knowing grin. "Red, I'm certain, you can pull off. If you're going to attend the ball, I'd suggest a red ensemble. The dress I'm working for to wear to the ball is red too. It's a good color with a lot of varying shades..." Nodding a little as they moved, Lydia suddenly directed a curious look to Storm. "How many outfits are we going to need, you think?"

There was no little amusement as Storm caught the small wave from Griffin as he was still looking between the two colors. In some ways, he reminded her of Avery, which brought a soft sigh and lopsided smile from her as she was encouraged to a different room.

She chuckled at the mentioning of being a canvas. While it was an appropriate comparison, Storm would leave the art to the artist. Listening to Lydia's color suggestions, the chuckle grew into strong laughter at the mentioning of red. The image of her resembling a walking raspberry brought on further giggles. "You know, I think the two red dresses I have now suit me well." That neither suited her form now diminished the rest of her laughter to a simple grin.

"I think that two ensembles will be fine." She could not justify any more purchases over temporary clothing. While she could not remember if Yransea had a ball or not, she was rather certain she would do little dancing. "I think a blend of an orange and red would do well. And maybe... a burnt yellow or sienna?" With a trance of humor in her eyes still, she looked to Lydia for her opinion.

Arriving at the rack she was looking for, Lydia started to sift through the clothing hanging from it, even as she listened to Storm. "Those are good colors for autumn. I always wished I could pull off oranges and some of the brighter yellows." She twisted her lips and shook her head as she continued to search. She paused every now and then, but kept going, obviously not happy with what she was finding.

"Do you want one ensemble to be more casual than the other? And one to be.. dressier? Or should they both be the same?" She circled around the rack before pausing with a quiet sound of victory. "If you're okay with one being somewhat casual, then I think this would look nice on you." Said item was pulled from the rack and held up so Storm could see it.

It was a blouse, relatively simple in design. The neckline was a square cut, and the sleeves were long and flared out. Towards the bottom hem of the blouse and sleeves, the fabric was a dark red, though it gradually shifted to an orange towards the top. It was almost like fire - the way trees in autumn always seemed to be ablaze since they were so spackled in the bright colors of orange and red. The blouse was also maternity friendly, leaving room for growing bellies with breathable, stretchy fabric.

Grinning, Lydia's brows lifted curiously, as if seeking Storm's approval. "You could find a skirt or pants to go with this, no problem, if you liked it. "

Storm watched with obvious amusement as a whorl of colors flew by while Lydia searched the racks. Where Storm would sit and ponder for minutes, her friend seemed to have a definite mission in mind. "I think that a casual and nice outfit would be best." She thought about sitting and watching the different competitions, knowing that at this time, she would opt for comfort over anything.

The blouse of blending colors gave something for Storm to consider. She reached and touched the fabric while Lydia presented it with varying options to add to the ensemble. It would blend well with the style of the Yransea women and she would not feel too self-conscious in it. "I like this very much." A satisfied smile, she began to wonder what to pair with it. A skirt in the matching red might just overdue it, and surely Ewan would find several "red" jokes to give before they would land upon Yransea soil. "I think a skirt would be best to go with it."

She casually glanced back at the rack and things Lydia had already browsed through. What was she going to do with this clothing when it would not fit in a few weeks? The question was pushed aside to the back of her mind and her attention went back to Lydia, where she hopelessly looked for coordinating her ensemble.

"Skirt.. skirt.." Lydia was already on it. She moved to the opposite side of the rack and started flipping through the assorted articles of clothing there. "I think black would work very well with that. It'd be very striking on you." Black was also quite slimming, but the elf wasn't about to pipe up about that. There was no need to offend her friend, even if her intentions were good. "Ah!"

Pulling a skirt off the rack, she walked back towards Storm with it. It was relatively simple, and seemed to be a loose, breathable fabric. It was flowy and would likely fall a little past Storm's knees, so it was a modest design. "What do you think, do you like this?" She offered it over. "You can try the outfit on if you'd like. There's dressing rooms upstairs. Plus if they don't fit right you can tell me and I can alter them."

With a nod, Lydia turned away from Storm to scrutinize the racks around her. Deep in thought, she scratched at her head. "Burnt sienna, you said? Hm... I think it might be nice to tend towards a brighter shade of that. If we go too deep, it'll look gold. It might be stunning on your complexion, or you'll look like a gold statue." She grinned cheekily.

"Black would do nicely." Storm agreed with a smile and nod. Taking the skirt, her thoughts turned towards the burns on her legs. Rather than asking for one that would be longer, her lips curled slightly on one side. Perhaps it would not be as bad as it thought. If after she tried it on and still felt uncomfortable, she could always ask for a longer one.

"A golden statue?" She laughed warmly, "If only I had thought of that earlier. Perhaps I really could have done well having my own booth." She sent Lydia a wink before looking towards the stairs. Practicing walking around without the use of her gift was awkward and with no little sense of being uncomfortable. And with stairs not being a usual obstacle, she could cheat this time."

"I will leave the precision of the color in your capable hands. I will go try these on." With a last smile, she started for the stairs, each step barely grazing the floor. Finding a room with ease, Storm was glad to have place on simple shoes that she could easily slip off with her feet. Changing into the blended top and skirt, she studied herself in the mirror provided. True to Lydia's words, the black made a striking contrast to the blouse that all warmed her skin tone. Satisfied, she started back down the stairs just to get another opinion from Lydia.
