With a Starving Artist theme, the Great Hall was ready for one of its messiest redecorating endeavors to come. On April 1, it was going to be changed into an artists' field day for Fionna's birthday.
There were blank canvases everywhere, paint palettes and brushes to be had. Balloons filled with paint to be thrown and some set above canvases to be pierced with darts. Squirt guns were instruments of painting -- maybe more than the canvases! Face painting stations, chalks, pastels, finger painting tables -- art was everywhere!
The cake, set apart from the direct line of fire of any industrious art making, was a sheet cake of plain white. Various cups and containers of edibles were around the sheet cake for attendees to have their hand at decorating. In addition, for those a little more wary of others decorating enthusiasm, there were cupcakes that could be individually decorated.
Where there was art, there was bound to be some that is edible! A side table had dishes, trays, and plates full of prepared food all ready to be put together with toothpicks or various sauces and pastes into edible art!
As with all the best parties, there was music for dancing, food already prepared for those not wanting to participate in the Edible Art contest, and lots of beverages (with little paintbrush like stirring sticks!). Guests shouldn't be surprised if some of the food might paint the inside of their mouths a bright purple or blue!
