Alright, so you may have noticed that I've revamped this thing something terrible.

This thread is now a combination of the writer's ramblings, information about posts and just a place for people's comments, questions... etc. But I like how Alex put it.

Spam questions, comments, concerns, conversations, rambles, vents, irks, fears, favorites, socks, shoes, and even the possible pet along in here. Oh, and yes, if they're OOC related.

This is pretty much your place to communicate with us on stories, interactions, as well as anything else that you may want to at any given time.

Consider this your little thread as well as ours!

"Conflictions" takes place within a different existance, all together. In a sense, when Alternate erupts someone with his cells, they are sealed away, preventing themselves from regaining any control of their former self. Alex and Lain officially met here.

Alex and Lain are officially in their own state of mind in "Conflictions" as well. Alex's is described as bright, and Lain's completely dark. This being because different things happened in the events that got them sealed in the first place.

An OOC note:

If, for some unlikely reason, you are on my ignore list and are ever curious as to why - go ahead and send me a note and I will do my best to inform you of why.

For the most part - there are times I put people on ignore because it's hard to read stuff amongst people I'm trying to play with, and try to cancel some of the needless yammerings out. Some of the one liner spam can make text get lost. All it takes is a simple PM and I can remove it real quick.

The more serious matters is that - and as we all know - we can't all always get along. Things happen, and that's just how life works. To refrain from things on either side from getting out of control, this is in place. Please understand, and try not to take offense.

On a plus note, I haven't seen need to do either on more than a vague occassion. It's been wonderful to know that the feature is collecting more dust than a 1940 Ironman action figure. This is just for reference, as of now!

I do not have the log of this entire event taking place. Because of that, some words have been altered, as have several actions. Please precieve this as 'His point of view' rather than the actual events that took place. I did my very very very best to recall and detail the exact events that transpired that evening.

For the most part, I only detailed the words that he spoke.. mainly because I'm okay with changing some of his words - yet still keeping true to what he said. If there are problems (which I doubt, since I didn't use anyone in the story in any kind of manner), feel free to PM me.

Colors!

We've noted that making use of the color feature really does help in distinguishing who's speaking. And also because we have a crapload of characters in our stories, we've decided to create a color coder for the player. Just in case. The colors and format that each name appears is the color and format of the text we will use for them. So here ya go!!

Black Waters

As I was writing this thing up, I figured that I would slip a post in here about it. All the Black Waters posts written in Lain's POV. Meaning that there are some details that I've excluded. This could mean that I would think that they were unnecessary or that Lain wouldn't have witnessed them. Usually, I slip them into the narration so that they're all there and whatnot.

Black Waters 2

Alright, so you're probably wondering why I didn't just edit the post above? Sue me, I needed the crowns. I've got a dragon to feed!!

Anyway! As I've finished updating the Black Waters thing, I felt it necessary to add that Entity is a separate voice, though in Lain's head. I split the colors up so that it wouldn't be like... this massive black hole of gooey colors all meshed together and whatnot.

Also working on a follow up story on this for Lain. Wish me luck, and I hope you enjoy that story!

Just a rant that I wanted to get out and whatnot. Some might notice that some of this was on the website link that was in my profile, but I don't want it there anymore, and needed the crowns.

What inspired this? The fact that people are retards. That's not thrown towards anyone in particular or anything, but if you feel offended, then then guess what? You're one of them. This has also something to do with Alex's post right up there, and I like the way that he said that. *nods*

I don't play outside my group much, and most of you know this already. Wanna know why? Again... cuz people are retards. And again, if you're offended... you're one of the ones that I'm talking about. I also don't like to take crap from people. If you don't like what I or we do? Keep your mouth SHUT, and just don't talk to us or play with us. I've been told about a few incidents were a couple of my play partners felt... insulted... by something that transpired along those lines. I'm no stranger to not liking things, I'm no stranger to talking about not liking things. But I don't blab it to the person's face and/or try to cover it the hell up with a joke or five to make it sound like I don't REALLY feel the way that I just said I did.

I try to do stuff fairly when I'm here, and this IS going out to the moders and such that have not quite GRASPED the concept. It's plastered all over the fricken site, and if you've bypassed that portion, I invite you to get some scotch tape, and pull your eyelids open until you find it. You. Cannot. Call. Hits. On. Anything. Old issue, since I really don't do the baddie fight, GRR, eat your babies routine that much anymore. But on the off chance that something that I'm playing spirals in that direction, then KNOW, that I have no time and or brain cells to comprehend moders. So knock it off. Lrn2reedgydlynzkthx.

Also, please realize that just because you WANT me to do something your way, and because you WANT my character to do something a certain way means that you're NOT gonna get it. Chances are if you let me know what you WANT me to do? I'll do the exact opposite simply because I'm allowed to and can and want to prove a point. I'm not here for anyone else but me and the fair few that I play with. So no, I'll not talk normally, and no I'll not bend to your awesome powers of seduction. Don't expect such a thing.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Read it. Learn it. Apply it. I couldn't give a flying ass in space what you think of my character. She's not real. But don't you even dare take your crap out on me cuz of the way that I play her. Don't you dare do that to the people that I play with either. We're all a little angry, we're all a little tired, and we're all trying to avoid an explosion of retardedness that will forever engulf us in its stupidity and needlessness.

Um, pretty much what they said really. Show respect to others, don't talk to people you don't like, and don't attack someone or their play partner just because you don't like them. If I don't like someone, I just don't play with them or talk to them, and that saves everyone a lot of time, effort, and doesn't turn into a big free for all. We just walk our seperate ways, and that's it. I hate drama so I try to stay far away from it.

Yeah. I picked QQ up from the WoW forums when I played on the Greymane server.

A lot of the horde bastards thought they were pretty awesome, and when we steam rolled them in PvP one day, they went to boards to cry about it. Someone in our guild told them to /wrists and QQ. .. I thought it was the most hilarious thing to ever walk the face of the earth.

Maybe there could be a thread for *just* profile/background info on the people posting in toast, while this one remains a general OOC info for people, or..something like that. Just to make it easier for people to find JUST the profile/bg infor stuff... I dunno?

FUN FACT: I was *so* close to not making her when I returned here. *nodnod* I had drawn Lyds, and was toying with the idea of creating Katarina. I nearly said screw it and didn't bother, but I drew her anyways, and once I saw her face, I knew I had to make her. :D

I find she and Lyds are good 'opposites' though. They kinda help to let the other's qualities shine through I guess, like with protagonists and antagonists, you need them to be different so that the other can shine through rather than them like..uh, blending in or..something...

Just a heads up...

I'm currently experiencing problems with phone line and internet connection, and our phone company fails terribly. All of these issues were to be fixed Wednesday..and yeah, they've done nothing. I'm probably going to be taking a 'mini hiatus' of sorts from this site. I will certainly try to keep up with my writing and whatnot, but don't expect me to pump out post after post after post or anything like that... It's not as if I'm doing that now though, so writing pace should be unaffected for the most part, so if I'm writing stuff with ya? No worries?... Um, I might try to pop in for some RP every now and then, just depends on my mood really.

My pulling back from here could be a couple days, weeks, months, I really don't know. I just need some distance from this place right now, and a little perspective. You know how sometimes you let your mind get so submerged into something you just lose a grasp on everything else? Yeah.. I guess that's kinda where I'm at. *shrug* I dunno...hence the distance.

So whilst lurking about others' OOC boards I saw others playing around with that doll maker thing. ^_^ I saw it a long time ago but didn't do much with it since I had dial up at the time and it made for slow loading of the pictures, etc. Buuuuut I figured I'd give it a shot again. :D So after some tinkering and of course, some manual editing of color and some copy paste, this was the closest I could get to Lyds.

But you know, there are some decent free programs out there, not as fancy as Photoshop or PSP perhaps, but gawd, anything is better than Paint... If it's the big download you're worried about, I recommend a download manager (FlashGet ftw) which is a livesaver if you have dial up. I know Firefox has a built in download manager or whatever, but I don't much care for it.

Anyhoo~ I WAS gonna make Chester and Lyle in the doll maker, just..well.. just to bug ya. >>; But they don't have much in the way of 'fantasy' clothing, nor do they have decent facial hair, so Lyle was a no go. I did attempt Ches though?

Many many many many apologies to Jewell! I shamelessy stole the journal idea after watching her do it over and over. And I know there's been others that do it.. but she's the sole culprit in my urge to write one. =p

For several days I've been toying with making a journal entry. So many people see Alex talking in the inn, being who he is. But I've been trying really hard to also come up with a way for people to 'see' him. Maybe this will help. It may last, or I may scrap the idea soon after.

My posts will be put on hold while I gather lost information. My computer ran into a memory dump issue, and the outcome was a corrupted system file. I can blame my carelessness is scanning the files I've been downloading.

Most of the information pretaining to my stories, and the history of various live plays, has been lost. This, in turn, has created a major standstill while I start from scratch to rework the information to the best of my ability.

Please be aware that some of the stories may take a major turn, both in the 'laziness', and in the direction of which I originally intended for these things to go.

Some other things may be scrapped, all together. We'll see. Lain has some information - so Statuesque will remain intact. But otherwise - we'll see.

The issue that popped up was a physical memory dump due to a corrupt system file.

Talking it over, I could have technically backed up the data somewhere while I did a restore.. (on the other hand, I was told I could retrieve all the data through other means.. I can't remember what was said exactly), but there was more effort and cash to be put forward to do that, rather than simply factory restore it.

I'm also believing that windows itself was having an issue, because even after the restore, I had to go ahead and restore it a second time. Error scans proved there were a ton of bad clusters in the memory.

To me, it screams virus. If that's the case, there's no chance any of the data would have been able to be pulled before wiping it.

On the plus side, it's an easy way to clean out the computer. I had a ton of wasted memory.

While reading some other forums, I came across a fun little thread that basically asked "what would your character say if he/she was clicked on a lot like in Warcraft 3?"

Okay, back on topic (eh?) for a brief moment.. some information on the profile page under my name has been altered to reflect some changes that are considered 'vapor play'. This is not complete, nor do I actually expect to find every detail that needs to be altered, so use your common sense from the stories. (If you read any of those, anyway. =p)

The "Villa de Ravenlock" thread has also had one or two additions to it, as well as a change in the initial description, as well as "the first floor". They're minor, at best, so you probably won't notice too much detail pertaining to this. It's necessary to document, noless. =)

.. other than that... we'll see. I'll update this particular post in the coming hours if I find something else requiring a revamp, fix, or otherwise. =)

This is what boredom can do to a person..

I actually decided I wanted to give gif creation a shot. This is the outcome. It's my first, so it's kinda crappy. But overall, I'm proud. I basically did it without any previous knowledge on how to work this damn program.

If you look at the eyes closely, you'll see he's wearing glasses. And then they randomly disappear! He's supposed to actually flick his head back, and the glasses are supposed to go flying. But that's like 50 frames of nonsense... and I'm kinda bleh about doing this, anyway. So maybe later.

It's obviously been REMOVED as has pretty much everything that went along with it from both Alex and Lain's journals.

It was a collective decision as we both felt blech about the storyline thusfar and wanted to scrap it.
