Daphne sat up on her hospital bed, her eyes were glued to the television screen. The gold dusting within the jade seemed to come alive and sparkle with tears as she watched in horror. ??this is?? she had no words. A soft grunt left her when her phone vibrated at her side. She turned to look at it, swiping the screen open. Him again. Someone who had the power to send chills down her spine, a faceless stranger who wanted nothing more than the misery of her and her company. Daphne swallowed hard as she read the words that went left to right across the screen. Her blood ran cold, staring blankly.

Look what we?ve got here, Daphne. It appears as though heads are going to roll tonight, doesn?t it? If someone were to kill the traitorous protesters, do you think anyone would bat an eye? I wonder?

You failed. See you soon. Kisses and hugs~

A sharp cry of pain left her as she slid herself from the bed and moved her feet to the floor. ?Time to see if those couple weeks of physical therapy paid off?? she hissed under her breath and planted her feet on the floor. Fingers clutched the tubes and wires, gathering them up and roughly ripping them from her flesh. Her jaw clenched lightly and she took in a shivering breath. A loud grunt left her when she pushed herself off the bed completely. She was walking stiff and weak, holding onto the railing as she moved from the bed. ?Ngh?? A little pained noise left her. Moving to the door, she collapsed against it and squeezed her eyes shut. Gripping the doorknob, she fought the door open and limped her way out of the room. There wasn?t a snowballs chance in hell she?d sit safely in a hospital bed while her friends were in danger.

?Miss Winters, you can?t?!?

A hand came up, the one that wasn?t clutching to the wall for balance. ?Sorry, but?? A determined look forward as she limped her way out down the hallway in little more than that hospital gown. ??watch me?? she hissed.

I?m coming?
