Rhy'din is a Nexus world, where all manner of things can be, and are, possible if a person has the ability to imagine it. It's entirely possible that the simple act of imagining a thing brings it to life here. A place where people from vastly differing time lines and eras can sit beside each other at a bar and have their favorite drink served in its traditional manner.

And Rhy'din, being such a hub for activity, has its own Golden Door Spa. With specialists trained to pamper and cleanse and buff and shine very nearly anyone from very nearly any of Rhy'din's races, and a few beyond, the sumptuous facility offers half-day, full day, and week long packages sure to fit with anyone's schedule.

When the redneck booked a full day for herself and a few friends she made sure to include the full day's menu as she wasn't completely sure what the others would prefer. Best to err on the side of caution rather than to assume.

After ending the call to the spa, she sent out another blanket text, male or female it didn't really matter. A day being pampered wasn't exactly gender specific. And who didn't enjoy a really-damn-good massage? Date, time, address, as well as directions from the RDI and the Marketplace.

(Spa day! Purposely vague for everyone to jump in and decide just how their character's getting buffed and polished and detoxed and just, flat out pampered for a full day. The link is to the actual Golden Door and sort of gives a bit of an idea what they offer. And, this is Rhy'din so the possibilities on treatments are pretty close to limitless. Polyvore sets, actions and reactions, go here too. Going to leave it open and unlocked because, well why not? )

Two vaguely familiar figures followed after Thorn, one a wee bit taller than the other.

Both were covered in road tar, mud and ... molasses?

Yes. Molasses.

"Mum, I told you..."

"Silence, Alpha Spawn."

"Alpha Spawn is covered in hot sticky molasses, Womb Unit One!" Jackie yowled, flailing and spattering yuck around them.

The spa employees watched in dismay as Thorn's guests began to arrive.

Pharlen pointed at the haplessly smiling desk clerk. She paused. Distastefully swallowed a mouthful of molasses.

"Everything. Just... Everything."

"...We'll ah... Send out for some clean..." the poor clerk faltered.

"Tell Thorn Jackie and her Mum are here," Jackie added, smiling brightly through the glop.

She had indeed gotten there early, not only to triple check that everything was set up, but to get her own pamper on. Thus, when the blob-people that sounded a whole lot like Pharlen and Jackie shambled in, yeah.

Her eyes widened in surprise, and a touch of fear and she bit the blood out of the inside of a cheek to keep from having an outright snicker-fit. Well, she managed to keep it to herself until Alpha and Unit were out of sight and ear-shot. Just as soon as it proved prudent, she'll hunt them down, with refreshments in her wake, and satisfy her curiosity.

"You can't go in with me." Lucy paused outside the spa's front door, turning to look at Reg.

"Oi, why not?" Reg looked over at Lucy, his mouth open in some ghostly approximation of affront.

"Because my friends might be naked in there and not everybody wants a ghost checking them out." She laughed, stepping aside to keep from blocking the door while she shook her head at him.

"Which friends? The pretty blonde one?" The ghost bounced his brows at Lucy. "She's right fit."

"See!" She laughed and rolled her eyes. "This is why you can't come in!"

"I'll hide myself."

"That only works half the time." Shifting her handbag on her shoulder. "Not to mention, just because they can't see you, doesn't mean you can't see them."

"Och. You're a fun killer, love." He scowled at her. "A killer of fun."

"You see more than enough of me to make up for it." She smiled at him. "I'll see you later?"

"Aye, later." He grinned at her back as she returned to the door. But his smile faded as she hesitated. "Go on, love." His ghostly voice quieting. "It'll be good for you. Go on."

Lucy looked at him over her shoulder. "Will you wait for me in the garden?" She gestured just beyond the wall of the spa grounds. "So I can see you?"

"Aye. I'll be in the garden." He smiled reassuringly.

"Okay." She smiled at him one last time, then slipped inside.

When, going from one treatment room to another, Thorn caught sight of Lucy, her tranquil smile brightened once again. A quick wink and a welcoming croon in passing were coupled with a tip of her head toward one of the tables set with an array of nibbles and drinks.

Refreshments were offered in a variety of ways ranging from chilled fruit, to decadent chocolate parfaits, from sparkling juice drinks and flavored waters, to champagne or wine or outright booze.

Lucy brightened when Thorn caught her, leaning in to steal a quick cheek kiss. "Meet up later?"

She was no stranger to such indulgences, but it was a pleasure having someone else make the arrangements. So the next hour or so found her soaking in a mint and rosemary invigoration soak, while sipping champagne and nibbling fresh fruit, before moving on to a milk and honey body wrap. Ahhh, the spa life.

Jewell, Sapphire, and Rayvinn showed up (needing little prompting or encouragement) for a full day of pampering.

Mimosas, silk robes, and comfortable slippers obtained, the girls made up their itineraries: mud detox baths, facials, body wraps, and massages just to start!

In-between, they spent some time in the garden or by the koi pond. Sapphire insisted that Jewell take advantage of the setting to see if it could help her meditate better.

"Meditation is easier when you don't interrupt me," the blue haired Faerie insisted to the teen when she nudged her.

"I know but look." She nodded as discretely as she could to where Reginald was.

"I saw him already." Jewell stated smugly, closing her eyes again to try and regain her focus. It really was peaceful in the garden. She might have to come back here more often or recreate the space at home.

"He's not bad looking."

"I've seen him before."

"Is he following you?"

"No. Now be quiet."

Sapphire stopped talking, but she her gaze kept darting up from the koi fish to Reginald again and again.

Cheek kisses rocked! A quick peck in return was coupled with a little crinkle at the tip of her nose. "Definitely beautiful."

A silent wave flagged off for Jewell and company when they arrived; her signature hand-flowers were not in evidence currently.

Then Thorn's curiosity got the better of her and had her taking a tray of sweet treats from a table. Time to find out what had happened with Pharlen and Jackie. Truth be told, she's totally expecting something epic.

Through a window in passing she flashed a wink and smile for Reg.

"So, what happened?" Asked after slipping in beside the Von Tombs lovelies, and while offering the tray like a sacrificial...tray of sweets.

"Molasses," Jackie noted darkly as she quickly scarfed down some goodies. She perked up when she spotted Sapphire. More teenagers! She was so glad that the spa team had been able to wash off the glop, though her mother was missing about four inches of her pristine white hair.

"I told her: BB gun. But nooooo. Mum wanted to make sure that the proper people were around, and I'm all Mum. Mum. Seriously?!?" It's a cylinder, there's going to be at least one stress fracture near the top, they've maintained it like for nothing for ages," Jackie rattled.

Pharlen scoffed faintly, far more elegantly waving to Thorn's guests before picking up a cup of tea.

"Just another day at work, though it was considerably more gooey than usual."

Sometimes it was best to just smile and nod. Even when your smile had traces of 'wtfbbq?' all through it. And your nod, well it was slow and if nods had tones, was very confused.

"I'm bettin' this wasn't a good day for bring your daughter to work." Snickering laughter was warm as ever, and lacking in any hint of malice or ill will. Just being a smart-ass. While studiously not openly mourning the loss of Pharlen's hair.

Four inches was a lot, no matter what sort of math you're using.
