Early morning. The smell of salt water in the air. The sound of crashing waves riding soft breezes of wind as it brushed through the many opened windows. Private Island, private beach, and private time with the woman she had made hers. This relationship with Daxia was, strangely, one of the longest relationships she's ever had without straying. The only other time being with the first girl she ever shared feelings for; Christina.

Not to say King didn't have feelings for many others.. Alex, Jamie, Gigi. She enjoyed her time with them. But there was never the connection that she had with Christina. The connection that led to betrayal. There was Gabby, a woman King still held feelings for -- feelings that would possibly never go away, but she had ruined that relationship with her own inability to simply relax.. She couldn't blame the drugs on everything.

It was her fault everything went down the drain with Gabby. Why she chose Rix instead of her.. They may be on good terms, but it would never be that good again.

Now. There is Daxia.

What started as a simple fling for Terry turned into something more. When she first saw the woman at the bar -- she was curious. The beauty sat alone drinking a glass of wine. No one approaching her, which Terry couldn't help but find odd. Daxia was a lily among weeds. A vibe of importance on her. Maybe that was the reason Terry finally took the time to break into conversation with her.

And once she started talking.. things became easy. It wasn't long before she found herself in the heat of passion with the woman. What would usually end after one or two nights turned to many visitations. Not even for lust alone.. Oddly, Terry had started feeling at ease around this woman. So easy to relax. So easy to enjoy the moment instead of worrying. While the tug of what if's still lingered in her mind.. In the end -- it isn't as bad.

Her smile. The way she laughs. Her easy going attitude.

The way she reminded her of her mother..

That was what Terry thought about as she ventured through the empty halls of the beach house; only minutes after leaving a sleeping Daxia alone within the softness of their shared bed.

That's weird.. isn't it? Terry asked herself. Her brows furrowed some as she leaned through an open window. Sniffing back the smell of salt water.

You're going to screw this up.

Negativity creeping in. Her body slouched, then pushed away from the open window. Bare feet slapping against hard floor to lead her into kitchen. Fridge gently tugged open and a cold release of air instantly hit her body. A soft shudder, but easily bearable as she reached in to pull a can of soda. Caffeine and sugar in the morning.. what a good start to the day.

Fridge closed behind her, and soon enough the same would be said to the deck door. Terry sat herself down on a beach chair and looked across the sunrise sparkling waters of an ocean that seemed to stretch out - never ending.

You're going to screw this up.

Clicking her tongue. Terry brought can up to her lips and took a sip.
