About dinner time there would be a delivery to the Lo residence. Two young men (no these aren't what is being delivered!) carrying an arrangement of faded red balloons and a few boxes.
One box had a three layered cake carefully detailed out with stretching branches of chocolate and budding flowers of strawberry frosting. The cake itself chocolate with raspberry infused white chocolate frosting.
The second box an arrangement of mixed fruits (strawberries, bananas, pineapple) most dipped in rich chocolate and some even tipped with noms like nuts or sprinkles.
The third box? Well it wouldn't be complete without cupcakes right? A dozen of moist chocolate cupcakes topped with whipped mint frosting and crowned with little candy flowers.
The note that came with them read simply:
Happy Birthday, Riley.
We need to talk about the sweet buffet sometime but until then enjoy your noms. I hope your birthday is a great one.
